But in this case it was easy to just sort of hang out and have a chat while I waited. An atmosphere like that is rare and definitely appreciated. As for the cut itself, I have to say that I found Rich to be something that I thought was long gone... someone who is into what they do and is simply really good at it. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a barber pole and pulled into Fleener's. After a short wait while a local fireman got his son's hair cut I was perched in one of the two old Koken barber chairs. (They for sell for big money at antique stores) Hallie a very professional young barber who works with her father cut my hair. She has been cutting hair with her father for many years. The old man has been in business since 1973. They must be doing something right! She was nice to talk to and did a good job. The shop was clean and bright. They even had a big flat TV and a display case with old barber mugs, razors and other interesting stuff. They only take cash...so be prepared! One of the best things about the place was they don't try to sell you any product at the end....what the hell is product anyway??
