I sure didn't, but it was very convenient. It was also quite entertaining to see the looks on the faces of the employees when we walked in with the unpackaged spinnaker pole. I give them props for thinking outside the box when it came to how to wrap and package it. We also purchased some cardboard to turn a golf cart into a hot air balloon, but that's another story. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

Why not just bury the cost of a staple in the copy price? Let's do the math to put this in perspective: If I were to buy a small box of 5000 staples at Staples for $7.99, that means they charged me the equivalent of $150. for that same box. Or maybe the charge was for labor? Either way, that flick of the wrist wasn't cheap. End of the world? No. Shameless, silly money grab? Oh yes.
