I am appalled by the customer service at Gateway Dermatology. Christine Trombino made a mistake and…read moreinstead of owning up to it or attempting to rectify the situation she stated "If you are unhappy with the care here you are more than welcome to go somewhere else." The treatment I was needing is not easily transferable. Never have I ever imagined saying something like this to a patient. I was charged for an office visit that I did not need and forced to wait an extra month for treatment due to their negligence. I spoke with Mary the office manager and she refused to take the necessary steps to correct the mistake. I will not be going back to this office. If you are considering becoming a patient I would highly recommended finding somewhere else.

There was no one in the waiting room and it was close to their lunch hour. I begged to see the doctor, said I would be happy to wait but they refused me medical treatment. The main receptionist is very kind but the girl who checks you out and collects your money got up and slammed the glass window on me! I wanted 5 minutes of the doctors time but no go. Disgraceful! Then I get a letter from Dr. Verrall telling me they are discharging me as a patient due to MY rude behavior. Of course I had no intention of going back there. They do not care about their patients. 10 minute appointments. Dr. Pollinger never even took the time to look at my body which has severe psoriasis. This place is a disgrace to the medical field!

Dr. Henry listened to me about what was important to me. He answered my questions. The day of surgery, I was a little nervous. He reassured me. I'm completely blown away by my results. I took some pain pills the first day and just two on the 2nd day. Today is the third day. I haven't even taken a Tylenol or anything. I feel great and can't believe how much better I look and feel. I read the negative review. Interestingly, my BMI is higher and I have diabetes. It wasn't a barrier for me. Dr. Henry's staff rocks too.

I have PCOS and despite a healthy diet and daily exercise, have been unable to get rid of the "PCOS belly". Dr. Henry is one of the doctors I sent an inquiry to over the weekend, expecting a phone call to discuss a consult. Instead, I received a text the following Monday asking the following: do I smoke or vape, do I have diabetes, and what is my height and weight. I responded that I did not smoke nor have diabetes, and provided my height and weight. They denied me by text message only based on BMI (which hasn't been used an an accurate measurement in healthcare in years). People have different body types. I'm in good shape with the exception of this PCOS belly and they didn't even take the time to meet with me or visibly see me prior to telling me I had to lose weight first. This IS the weight I CANT lose - and why I'm looking to have the procedure. Happy to bring my business elsewhere, and hoping folks reading this do the same. I've talked to another facility who's been very helpful and have an in person consult.

I will be scarred for life for this, after I specifically asked for a simple burn or freeze like I have had many times prior. I was then told , no we will just cut it out, which I have had prior also, using a scalpel to scrape the surface layer or 2 and then either a chemical or electrical cauterization, so I said fine. Then I was given way to much Lidocaine, creating a nickel size lump on my skin, which was followed by the enormous scoop of flesh and a bandaid with no antibiotic, before I could see it. This is malpractice on many levels. The skin has 3 layers, warts reside in the top layer, and there is no need to remove flesh to the white meat to eliminate a wart that is the size of an ink pen dot. I was also given a spoon full of Lidocaine when I would have required none or just a touch for the appropriate procedure. So that was July 29, and now it is August 9, 12 days, and I have been told I should have stiches to close this hole. I would rather have the wart, at least that was invisible. God help anyone using this office.

He answered some questions I had and was very clear with the info, giving it to me in laymen's terms that I could understand. The office is across town from us but because of how I was treated, and how knowledgeable and efficient they were, it's well worth the drive!
