Food/drink wise they have Dunkin and Popeyes with both charging more than your average location. Along with those you'll find a market with road trip essentials at elevated prices as well. They've been talking that the service plazas in Maine are suppose to get upgraded and will see better food options so we shall see where that goes. Rumor has been potential first Shake Shacks in Maine. The biggest knock I would give this particular rest area/service plaza compared to the others in Southern Maine would be the fact you have to leave the highway system. It tacks on extra time that adds an extra level of annoyance. The place in general was clean including the bathrooms but could use an updating in my opinion. While the sinks are touch-less both the soap and paper towel dispensers were not. That seems like a pretty common standard but not here. I've been to worse rest stops but this could be significantly better as well.

My wife goes in and they always ask her how the family is doing. Food City is owned by its employees and their prices tend to be on the higher side for some items. They do have a deli counter that offers some good meats that we get when they do on sale. Corn beef or pastrami goes on sale for $9.99/lb every couple weeks and it tends to go fast. One big positive is they carry several lactose free options with milk and cheese so I can eat those without any issues. The only negative I can find is when we get lots of rain and wind, in the area, their produce department gets water coming in from the ceiling. They typically have to throw out all contaminated produce and they shut that area down for the protection and safety of consumers. They should just spend the money to fix the roof. They recently relined the parking lot which makes parking much easier and organized because everyone would park in different ways and directions which reduce how many could park. Oh one other thing, they offer a LARGE selection of nibs (small alcohol bottles) and at a very decent price. Average price ranges from $1.99 to $4.99 depending on the brand or type of alcohol. The tobacco and alcohol area is where they seem to make the bulk of their money.

I came here today for the first time in a few months because I've been in a rough financial spot, but I decided to spoil myself and order online since I was rushing to work. The order said it would take about 30 minutes, so I thought, "Okay, I have time." I got there about 20 minutes later and was shocked to see that my order was already done! I grabbed the bag and headed back to my car, gave the bagels to my partner, and we hopped onto the interstate. Unfortunately, the next exit was 10 miles south. My partner pulls the bagels out, and to our absolute surprise... THE BAGELS WEREN'T EVEN TOASTED. WHO IS ORDERING A BAGEL WITH CREAM CHEESE UNTOASTED?! So not only did I pay $20 for THREE bagels, but I paid for three bagels that were completely inedible to me. And because we were already on the interstate with no exit for 10 miles, there was nothing I could do about it. I'm honestly so disappointed because I used to love this place. I understand mistakes happen, but when you're spending $20 on three bagels, especially when you're already trying to be careful with money, you expect your order to at least be made correctly. Would not recommend after this experience and due to the change of atmosphere, I won't be back, and will be taking my bagel orders to Sunrise Bagel down the street.
