They're the best chicken I've had in Louisville, crispy, fresh, tender and cooked to perfection. I first discovered them at the Pegasus Parade two years ago (on Broadway and 3rd). We got a basket of fried chicken wings, chicken tenders, and some fries. The kids were fighting over these and I had to make a few trips back. The price is a bargain comparing to some other overpriced food trucks, especially considering the amount of food I got. Other offerings include BBQ rib tips, corn dog, hot dog, Polish sausage, fish, etc. I can't find any information on their regular location. The other time I've spotted them was at the Old Louisville Spring Fest.

I appreciated they sent out a snapshot of their menu early on. I got a strawberry french toast crepe. It was thick, closer to pancake consistency with syrup soaked in and fresh strawberries on top. I was expecting something lighter but this was very filling. I also got a breakfast crepe with bacon. It was stuffed with eggs, cheese and fresh spinach. The bacon was crumbled and they gave us a ton of it. Depending on your hunger level you might split them into two meals or share. Along with a bottled water I got a Dole pineapple whip. Pineapple juice, bits of pineapple and vanilla sorbet. Really good, not overly sweet because the gelato calms it down but it warmed up about midway through and needed ice or to be chilled. Drink fast! Overall I highly recommend a savory crepe. Huge, filling and not heavily breaded as compared to my strawberry crepe.

This market is awesome…read more Not only do you have several farm vendors to get your produce, eggs, meat, cheese, honey, etc., but they offer several excellent options for prepared lunches. Dreamcatcher Farm has a great burger ($5) and quiche and I'm enamored with their tomato pie, which only seems to show up some of the time. Kassidy's Kackle House offers $4 sandwiches with freshly (and locally) made chicken salad or egg salad (among others). This week a Texas-style tamale stand showed up. And Cake Flour is always there with their breads and sweets. Plus, you can get your soaps and flowers and baked goods, canned goods, if that's your thing. I think the market has acquired enough of a following that the number of vendors is only going to improve. It's great to have access to fresh, locally grown food in the downtown area. And to have another good & affordable lunch option. Runs mid-May through October.

Reasonable rates by the hour and super convenient walk from there to the festival. It runs over Labor Day weekend, Friday-Monday. The schedule is nicely booked for music and performances to represent various cultures. In between is often a DJ spinning music. I noticed two staging areas this year. The crowd was busy this year. A lot of booths and food vendors packed into the space. A little overwhelming, as I was hoping for a more relaxing atmosphere to sample food and browse booths. Also less restaurant participants than I remembered from the past years; and much of the space was replaced with margarita stations or cocktail bars.
