This food truck visited our neighborhood tonight, and we ordered way too much food. I have a bad habit with food trucks because I am not sure I'll get to enjoy them any time soon. I appreciated they sent out a snapshot of their menu early on. I got a strawberry french toast crepe. It was thick, closer to pancake consistency with syrup soaked in and fresh strawberries on top. I was expecting something lighter but this was very filling. I also got a breakfast crepe with bacon. It was stuffed with eggs, cheese and fresh spinach. The bacon was crumbled and they gave us a ton of it. Depending on your hunger level you might split them into two meals or share. Along with a bottled water I got a Dole pineapple whip. Pineapple juice, bits of pineapple and vanilla sorbet. Really good, not overly sweet because the gelato calms it down but it warmed up about midway through and needed ice or to be chilled. Drink fast! Overall I highly recommend a savory crepe. Huge, filling and not heavily breaded as compared to my strawberry crepe. read more

My family and I ordered from this food truck when it was stopped in our neighborhood. When we got there, we were the first ones in line, and it did take quite a while for our crepes to be made... I'm the furthest thing from an expert on crepes so I'm not 100% sure how long it takes to cook a crepe, plus we got 4 crepes, so maybe that's why? Either way, it was well worth the wait! The crepes were AWESOME! The savory crepes were delicious, but of course, I thought the sweet crepe we had (strawberry french toast crepe) was outstanding! We came for an event and Sweet and Savory was on site to feed the attendees, we ordered 2 savory Breakfast crepes...one was a Ham and egg specials plus tomatoes and cheese (these two last ingredients were optional) with a coffee and a breakfast crepe loaded with ham, eggs, spinach, cheese, tomatoes and mayo. OMG!! This was the bomb!!!! We both loved our picks. After devouring these two, we came back for a sweet crepe. 2 Banana nutella with powedered sugar crepes and gelato. A crepe? Yes please! A crepe with Nutella? Get in my mouth right at this moment!!!! I had seen Sweet 'n' Savory's truck out and about, but after finally perusing its menu, I knew I had to give it a try. I mean, they serve sweet and savory crepes, gelato and smoothies -- how could they not be awesome!?! And nomilicious food stuffed into a crepe seems to be an ingenious way to offer several food options -- not to mention a brilliant food truck idea overall. So I got the banana and Nutella crepe at the Earth Day Hoot. The crepe itself was easy to cut with the side of my fork, though thick enough to hold everything together. It was also sufficiently flavorful, standing up well next to its sweet contents, though it did not overshadow the bananas and Nutella. The wait time at the truck was only a few minutes, and the staff seemed very friendly. Wow, I loved eating at this food truck at the art fair the other weekend. I ordered a Nutella and strawberry crepe that was so delicious! Even though it was dessert, it actually wasn't overly sweet, which was nice! Also, the crepes are naturally gluten free, which I love because it's nice to not have to worry about that! I haven't had a crepe in YEARS due to my gluten allergy. When I first discovered Sweet n Savory, it seemed a little too good to be true. But Lo and Behold, these crepes are AWESOME!! I had the hot brown crepe and my boyfriend had the chicken bacon one. He said it was the best crepes he ever had (and his body can handle gluten!!) We also split a banana Nutella one - it was so good, I didn't get a photo I met the owner and he was a super nice guy. Very well versed with gluten free cuisine. if you can catch the food truck around the Ville' it is definately worth the stop. All their crepes are gluten free which is a plus for those of us burdoned with the allergy. I have not had a bad crepe or experience yet in regards to Sweet N Savory. My favorite is the Chicken BLT-it is delish! Of course all the sweet crepes are to die for as well.... I do have to ask for extra sauce certain crepes, but I am a sauce person. Their gelato is extra yummy too! Reasonably priced and friendly service. Must try! read more

This food truck set up at the Imaginarium Author Expo and they were AMAZING! I had the breakfast and the chicken bacon crepes. The crepes themselves were tasty and the fillings fresh and generously doled out. Plus, the guys inside were fantastic to talk to. Who doesn't love a crepe? Well, actually, my mom. (Who knows why?!) However, I am a fan of crepes, and a big part of what started this is Sweet 'n' Savory. This food truck can be found out and about Louisville. I've had it at various festivals and events. They've even come to UofL summer orientation! This truck offers a variety of options--sweet AND savory! What a coincidence! ;) I recently had the CBLT (chicken, bacon, lettuce, & tomato) and have had their Nutella crepes before too. They're decent in size, and with so many options, it can be difficult to order! (I couldn't decide between the CBLT and the Hot Brown the other day.) The folks who run the truck are also very friendly, and their crepes are all gluten-free. In addition to crepes, they also have smoothies, coffee drinks, and gelato (probably among other things I'm forgetting). And ina stroke of genius, the person taking my order said "do you want to add bacon to that?" HELLS YEAH I DO. Light, delicious and still satisfying. So good! There were many food trucks at the Foodie Flea and I got to try a couple of them. Wanted to get something sweet from here and opted for the banana nutella crepe sans the bananas. For being gluten free, the crepe tasted great. It cost around 7 bucks and was well worth it. I would definitely try one of their savory ones next time. The service was friendly too. read more

I really wish I lived in Louisville. This place is amazing! Never mind the crepes are gluten free. My partner who does not have to eat gluten free kept saying OMG with every bite of his Rueben crepe. I started to order a different crepe hoping he would share his with me. I am so glad I did not. I do not think he would have shared one bite. The crepe was light and crisp. The corn beef was tender. The sauerkraut was tasty. The Sriracha sauce gave it just the right kick. The crepe is huge and I ate every last bite by myself. If you haven't discovered Brandon's food truck follow him on Facebook. Crepes? Yay! Tonight I had the Sweet Tart (crepe with blueberry compote and lemon cream cheese). Wow! It was even better than I had imagined. Fresh blueberries barely cooked into a lightly sweetened sauce with lemon flavored cream cheese folded into a perfectly cooked crepe then dusted with powdered sugar. Mmm, good! I was really excited to see this food truck at Fall Flea in New Albany. Unfortunately I was disappointed in both the food and the extremely bad attitudes of the individuals working in the truck. As I waited for my order I watched as a customer asked for some salt for their crepe. The customer was rudely told that the ingredients had already been seasoned. After a tense standoff the customer had to hand over their plate to the cook so he could add the salt. After the customer walked away, the cook looked at the woman who was taking orders and said, "It's scary out here in the woods". She then said "How do you think I feel?" They then went on to make fun of the locals. This event was in downtown New Albany and people were lined up to support their small business. They clearly didn't deserve that support. In regards to their food, I paid $8 for a hot brown crepe. The crepe itself was fine but the ingredients inside were cold. It was literally like they took lunchmeat, partially defrosted tomatos, and a warm sauce and rolled them up in a fresh crepe. Honestly, I too wanted some salt. Though I dared not ask. I had seen this at a few street fairs and was finally able to give it a try at NuLu Fest. I had a Ham and White Cheddar that had some kind of aioli mayo on it. And it was sweet and savory. Ok not so much sweet but you see what I was trying to do there. The crepe was stuff full with thin sliced ham and melty cheese. Holy crepe! This was magically delicious! I had the banana nutella sweet crepe, along with some chocolate gelato. All of their crepes are gluten free, so that's fantastic for people who are intolerant or have sensitivities. You would never know, though, because the crepes taste like pure heaven. At first I was very hesitant about this good truck. We have a different food truck come to Freshman Orientation each session at UofL. I finally tried this truck and I was NOT disappointed. The sweet crepes were fantastic and the staff was very friendly. I heard nothing but great things from my students on a variety of menu items.
