Horrible! Ruth's Roses is a fraud and Absolutely terrible service, never received confirmation of delivery. When I called, I get some offshores representative that puts you in eternal hold and makes excuses saying delivery driver is still out, etc. it's 6:30 pm and still no confirmation. I'm reporting them to my credit card company for fraud and a refund. Avoid at all costs. read more

I placed an order early Thursday morning for a funeral paid for and everything ,realized that they emailed me at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and said they canceled my order. How do you do that? I purchased the Ever-Budding Romance Deluxe for my Daughter-in-Law to congratulate her on the birth of my grandson. I was INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED when I saw the arrangement. The gentleman, on the phone when I ordered this arrangement, said it was much taller and wider than the bouquet that was delivered. It was very small. Equally, the roses had black edges indicating that they were old. This arrangement looked NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE ON THEIR WEBSITE!! I paid $109.93 for the arrangement. I have been using Ruth's for many years for floral arrangements. Her arrangements are always stellar. She took arrangements to the cemetery for my son and granddaughter interred in Midvale Cemetery. I've been unable to reach her shop lately, and I understand Ruth's is no longer in operation. I will miss Ruth's and her sensitive service and beautiful arrangements. I hope she is feeling better. I have been away for work for a month and wanted to surprise my wife with flowers at her work. What I ordered and what she got was no where near the photo online. The price had an $18 "convenience fee" attached to it which when I asked what that was he just stated it was to ensure the flowers are fresh? The price also mentioned 45% off orders that day, which in the final bill was false as well. Extremely dissapointed in the all aspects of the company. I should have cancelled the order after I had to call back 3 different times to talk to someone regarding my order and each time it went to a different person. I felt it was suspicious and asked if this was the flower shop, there answer was "no this is a call center." For as simple a thing as flowers and a kind gesture it turned into over priced greenery and dissapointment. read more

I have no reason to change my rating since my review 3 years ago. Since I left my last review I have had more interaction with Ruth and more reason to recommend her services. My mother died in June 2014. We went to Ruth to arrange the flowers we wanted for her services. We very specifically asked for white calla lilies and red carnations with greenery for her casket spray and family flowers. Mom's favorite holiday was Christmas and with her silver casket the flowers were PERFECT! Ruth went above and beyond this and included flowers for Mom's grandchildren to place on her casket in their favorite colors. We had little bouquets of pink, orange, and even black tipped carnations for the littles to place. It was the perfect suggestion for them to be involved and show their respects to their grandmother. The flowers were done and delivered on time. We had a fast turn around for this funeral. Mom died Friday and her viewing was Monday. Ruth worked with the funeral home and all of our bills were sent there. We only had one bill from Goff Mortuary for the whole service. This was such a relief to us as the last thing we wanted to deal with when Mom died was bills from tens of different places. Here is where the service from Ruth is different from other places I have been. Ruth has been through the happy and sad occasions herself and has perfect empathy for what I have gone through. She has cared for and lost family and friends. She has celebrated with her family through weddings and dances. I have yet to have a bad bouquet or experience with anything I have needed from Ruth's regardless of if I deal with Ruth or Tiffany. Ruth is my florist and is still a flower magician! read more

Still cute. Still a fan. And I'm finding out that the friendliness they exhibit in special ordering what you want is probably what I remember them best for. As a small lil' shop, the selection isn't what you might find at the other bigger boys, but they have heart, and that counts in my book. Since I'm usually after stems and not arrangements, I can't really comment too much on the skill of the arrangers or their style (I actually don't recall much their style) but it's worth a stop, especially when trying to support the little, local guy. If I could give this place zero stars I would. My aunt recently went here to purchase flowers and was declined service by the owner due to her middle eastern heritage, telling her to "go back to her own country." I can't believe that a simple act of buying flowers has turned into this. This is an act of racism. What a rude place! We were told the other arrangement we liked was a bump on a casket and her arrangement was long and fit the casket. Caskets are the same size (except the oversized ones)! They also charged $100 more than another place. She forced us to place the order on the spot and not to think about it or she couldn't do anything for us. read more

I found Ruth's Floral online and would not recommend them to anyone! I called to order a bouquet of sunflowers for my daughter's birthday which were to be delivered. I told the girl who took my order how much my daughter "loves sunflowers." and asked if they had any in stock. I was informed that they did. When my daughter received the bouquet the next day the arrangement included one rose, snapdragons, babies breath, gerbera daisies, several carnations, AND ONE SUNFLOWER! Does this sound like an arrangement of sunflowers to you? I called to express my dissatisfaction and got nowhere with the Ruth, the owner. She didn't seem to care at all that my order was not what I asked for. She made up a bunch of excuses for what happened as did the girl on the phone who took my order. I didn't not have a florist that I care for and was really disappointed in all the florists I have used in the last several years. I needed a funeral spray for my mom and thought I would give Ruth's a try, not expecting much because of all my disappointments. WOW!! The arrangement was beyond beautiful! It was more beautiful than any of the other arrangements at the funeral. I am happy to say, I have a new florist and will be using Ruth's from now on! read more

When I called yesterday morning to order a spray of flowers for a funeral on Friday, I never imagined I'd be ignored and treated the way I have from Ruth's Floral. The first guy I spoke with said he wasn't sure if they could do it for me or not and he'd have someone call back. Of course that didn't happen and I called again later in the day. I spoke with Ruth who was with people and was promised she'd call back. I called once again around 5:45 pm and they were closed. I left another message. This morning I spoke with another employee and explained that I really needed to know one way or another if they could do it. She said she'd have to find out and call me later this afternoon. I explained a funeral isn't something you can just be left hanging on. She said "well you may just want to go a different route then". It took me so off guard, all I could say is "really?...that's your response?" WOW! I'm so disappointed in Ruths Floral. I've wasted my last call on them. read more

Ruth is amazing! She has done arrangements for me for funerals, weddings and special occasions. I have never been disappointed in her work. I love how Stephanie J. described Ruth as a Flower Magician--she is right! The two weddings she did for my daughters were over the top, fabulous. I think Ruth might even be classified as a savant ;o) She is always willing to collaborate with me and explain seasonality and availability of floral products and can recommend the best flowers to suit the occasion. People are still talking about the flowers at both of my daughter's weddings, because they were beautiful, classic and unique. I think they were simply amazing! Ruth and her staff make me feel like a friend or family, not simply another one of their clients. I have recommended Ruth to several friends and they have been equally pleased. Thank goodness that Ruth has been in business for so long--what would we do without her and her team! read more
