Call up Anna and her wonderful dog walkers! I've used Whistler Dog Sitting for the past two trips in Whistler and I am happy to report both times went without a hitch! Anna and her sitters enabled me to enjoy my ski trips without worrying about my dog making a mess in the room or me having to quit the slopes early to take him out. Maybe it's a common Aussie trait, but Stephanie bonded easily with my dog and gave me status updates and photos of their adventures together. She accommodated all of my requests (room access, treat allowance, keeping him warm) and communicated with me quickly if there was a problem. I never had to go through her boss Anna for any issues. I will caution you that they have a two hour minimum ($20/hour) and only accept cash! So if you are traveling from out of country make sure to get some cash handy to pay the sitters (they must be paid each day for service). It will be well worth it!

The owner, Anna responded promptly during the holiday and sent over a liability and waiver to sign also wanting to gather details of our dog, Chip, so they could care for him. We arranged for 2 nights of sitting with this company for 3 hours each so that we could go out for dinner. First night: we had some transportation issues getting up to Whistler and arrived many hours later than we had anticipated. I went back and forth with Anna several times that day on email and she was highly responsive and understanding. Our sitter patiently waited for us and also texted me so I could let her know when we arrived. Carolyn had treats but was sure to ask if he had allergies, let us know what her plans with the dog were and she was very sweet to him. When we arrived back he was sleeping in his Westin Heavenly Dog Bed and was in good spirits despite a long dark bus ride up from Vancouver that day. Second night: we met Tamara in our hotel room and Chip got along with her right away. She provided an itinerary as well and took him out for an hour long walk. I left toys and treats for her to use with the dog and she asked us about specifics around food and his history. While we were waiting for our dinner reservation we did spot Chip out and about tail wagging happily and flirting with all the ladies. When we returned Chip was again well exercised, in high spirits and well behaved sleeping on top of our bed waiting for us. Will hire these folks again. Solid customer service and great sitters. I received a confirmation text from the owner for 2 walks in 1 week. I left money in the usual spot and was surprised to see it still there when i got home from work. I contacted Whistler Dog Walkers to find out what happened, they openly admitted to forgetting to pick up my dog and did not offer any apology or compensation. Later that evening, Whistler Dog Walkers owner called to inform me that they were not going to walk my dog the following day (contradicting the confirmation text sent 2 days prior) and I was informed that they were no longer doing casual walks...If i wanted to use their service I had to book in for several days a week for the entire winter. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and from my experience...uncaring about your pet.

PLEASE READ IF CONSIDERING DREAMCATCHER MEADOWS FOR YOUR WEDDING…read more I'd like to start this review by saying that the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and deserves 5 stars. However, this review is about the service provider who we had a lot of difficulty with after the wedding (and potentially before if our wedding planner hadn't taken over communication on our behalf). The day after our wedding, Jill sent my MIL (who had offered to cover the cost of extra rentals) an invoice for $3,166. In her email, she told my MIL that it was very generous of her to cover "the outstanding invoice and last-minute rentals". Just to clarify, there was no outstanding amount left for the venue rental fee (we paid it in full BEFORE the wedding) and the "last minute rentals" were all items we'd discussed 2 weeks before the event. I emailed Jill with some questions. Just to be clear, I never said to Jill that we didn't want to pay (on the contrary, she'd already charged my MIL's card without giving us a chance to review the invoice so not paying was out of the question). We simply wanted clarification on the items listed in the invoice. Unfortunately, all we got in return was a long emotional diatribe about how happy everyone was, how many last minute requests they accommodated and how we left decisions until the day of which caused unnecessary panic (still don't know who was panicking and why since we'd discussed everything ahead of time). None of the above items were addressed in her email except for one. Not only that, there were accusations in the email against us which were blatant lies (we have documentation to prove everything). Among them: - Jill was unable to take a damage deposit as she apparently didn't have a credit card on file. That's not true since the contract had a specific section that clearly stated the credit card information being provided was for a damage deposit (which we completed and sent back to her). If she didn't this information, why didn't she simply tell us instead of bringing it up on the day of the wedding? - We were accused (several times) of not sending her a list of rentals 7 days before the wedding. However, our wedding planner sent us a copy of the email she sent Jill 14 days before the wedding which clearly stated which rentals we required. The final straw was when she called my MIL and told her she no longer wanted to communicate with me and my husband. We, the clients, who signed the contract and paid $6,000 to use the venue are no longer welcome to contact her and try to get clarification on the items my MIL paid for. In addition to all of this, please be aware that we often felt like Jill's main objective was to promote her business. - She asked my MIL if we would put HER business's logo on OUR wedding favors - what kind of vendor asks a couple to put their logo on wedding favors?! We're not there to provide free advertising! - Jill also pushed us to write a review before the wedding. Again, who expects a review before goods/services are actually provided?! - After all this mess, she still had the audacity to tell us she would be majorly disappointed if we're not willing to share our pictures with her. She even asked our videographer for pictures! Just because we used her venue for our wedding, doesn't mean she owns the wedding now...we're not obliged to provide her with any pictures or videos nor was it stated in the contract. She shouldn't be reaching out to our other vendors to acquire goods that she has no right to. In a nutshell, the venue is gorgeous. John is very easy-going, helpful and a pleasure to work with. However, beware before signing a contract that communication with Jill will tough. We spent our honeymoon dealing with Jill and the invoice she sent my MIL all because we asked a few questions (which remain unanswered) If you decide to have your wedding here, please make sure you write every single thing down. Don't let Jill push you into writing a review BEFORE your wedding and don't feel obliged to let her take pictures. It's YOUR wedding. YOU decide who takes pictures and YOU decide what you want to share. We had to change our reservation and she did all the paperwork and ensured we still had the same babysitter for the entire stay. The babysitter was awesome, showed up right on time, texted photos throughout the day, adjusted times as requested and was super interactive with the babies. I will definitely use again!
