My husband and I purchased a class A RV from PPL motorhome and at first we were just going to purchase it but later we decided to have an expert look it over. We are so glad we did. The report uncovered a water leak in the rear bedroom. The report was 60 plus pages long with many pictures that illustrate issues and concerns. If your in the market, please don't hesitate to have an rv inspection before you buy.

This response was not an attempt to "clarify facts" for future readers--it was an attempt to…read morereframe events and make false statements about my actions and intentions while doing business with Brian at Armadillo Mobile RV Repair & Inspections. First, I did not ask Brian to come out and inspect my RV. That visit was his choice, which he offered on his own. I did not request a "no-charge" inspection, nor did I solicit free time or services. Any attempt to portray that visit as a favor I demanded is misleading. Second, the suggestion that I was repeatedly reaching out to Brian is false. The reality is the opposite. I learned of Brian's company after he blind texted me to promote his business. Much of our text communication consisted of Brian texting me or calling me to inquire about the status of my claim and when they could start services. The bulk of my messages occurred at the very end of our interaction, when Brian stopped returning my text, after I questioned his business practices. Before this, Brian repeatedly called me back-to-back when I was unavailable, then immediately followed those missed calls with text messages. His statements insinuates that I was the one persistently contacting him; that is simply untrue. Third, I never asked for a patch or partial repair--ever. From the beginning, it was clearly understood that I wanted my RV roof fully refinished. I received multiple written estimates from certified technicians, all of whom were able to provide complete quotes. None more outrageous than Brians estimate to my insurance company. Brian's claim that industry standards require a full replacement and that there were no other product options than the 50 year warranty product, is untrue. The only logical and professional way to complete an estimate is with photos and a written quote, which other professionals had no issue providing., without mark ups. The statement that I wanted work "not aligned with industry standards or insurance requirements" is a flat-out lie. Neither the RV industry nor my insurance company requires the use of a 50-year warranty product to resurface a roof. That was Brian's choice, not a mandate. To suggest otherwise is knowingly deceptive. The real issue was pricing discrepancies, not scope. When I informed Brian I would be filing through my insurance, the price suddenly skyrocketed. If a different product requiring fewer labor hours could be used for the lower price we discussed, there was no legitimate reason it could not be used when insurance was involved--unless the goal was to extract as much money from the insurance company as possible. When I raised this very reasonable question, communication didn't slowly fade--it came to a screeching halt. Calls and texts were no longer returned. Brian also cannot reasonably compare himself to an RV dealership. That comparison is apples to oranges and does not justify inflated labor hours or pricing. My insurance claim was proceeding smoothly until I began questioning Brian's tactics--at which point he began communicating with my vendor and stopped communicating with me. It goes without saying, I haven't received a estimate from my insurance after his little chats. It is worth noting that Brian found time to promptly respond to a Yelp review, yet could not take the same amount of time to return a call or text to resolve the issue directly, despite having done so numerous times earlier. That speaks volumes. I would never ask a professional to act unethically. In my experience, those who engage in unethical practices do so entirely on their own--and that is exactly what happened here. As I stated in my original review: run, don't walk, away from doing business with this company. Transparency, honesty, and professionalism are not reflected in this business's practices, regardless of how eloquently the response attempts to portray otherwise.
