I was shocked at the price…read morethey want for renting a simple flat deck unit ($165 day rate) plus they add mandatory damage fees which does not include full insurance, plus they told me if I park the trailer at their off hours drop off there were more fees to be added (total coming to $265). As well they were wanting $10 tie down strap. As well, their check in time was horribly long and service wasn't too friendly. I left and called u-haul in Airdrie, where they JUST had a car dolly dropped off. Their rate was $57 for the day, which included tire straps and chains. Their unit worked well and had no issues. Like another poster noted, we are no longer in boom times in Alberta, either learn to cut costs (which they could do considering they had a ton of admin staff there) or eventually go out of business.

Right from the start there was high pressure sales and promises made that were never kept. Told us that the mouse guard would protect our trailer from mice ... this is not entirely true! Had we been told the truth we would have taken steps to mouse-proof our trailer. First year we had mice! Then the warranty work! What a nightmare! Their service department is embarrassing and borderline incompetent! Door and microwave needed to be replaced and brought back three times before it was done. Then the final straw ... we brought it in (for warranty work) and told them to winterize it. They charged us $280.00 and come spring, the lines and tank had not been drained, froze and exploded. This caused a large amount of damage to the floor and trim. They tried to put it under our warranty (which wee stopped) but they did end of fixing it. We asked for a refund and they offered to give as a 50% service credit. We sold the trailer and wouldn't use Allendale RV for anything. Service Manager Sean was supposed to call us to discuss .... nothing! We paid $45,000 for the trailer from these thieves in 2023 and they offered to purchase it from us for $25,000. Sales Manger Mahzair made all these promises and then ghosted us! All we asked was for a refund on our service for the winterization and on the mouse guard as we were not told the truth. They are more interested in making a fast buck then customer loyalty or service. Still waiting of the refund on the warranty purchase ... I'm sure this was a lie as well! Anyone have any ideas on who to complain to, please let me know! We sold the trailer to another dealer for $27,000. Make sure you read the negative reviews! Stay away from this company! I'm sure the owner will read this and ignore it just like all his staff due to upset customers! Ruined our desire to ever enter the camping world. Thanks Allendale RV for nothing!

It has taken quite some time but luckily all that's left to fix is a part for the awning and the radio. Can't control parts from the manufacturer however so for now we will wait. To help us out for the issues, they are driving the trailer down here tomorrow. The rest is a wait-and-see situation but I'm hopeful that the rest of the work will be completed in a prompt manner, without issues, once the parts arrive. I was hoping for a bit of a better resolution with this, but it's what they have offered so at least that's something I guess.

I'm not sure if all the Travelland rvs service groups are this way but I have been dealing with the…read moreAirdrie service group since January 2024 and it has been a terrible experience. 1) their service representative will not return phone calls or get back to you when the parts come in. I have to keep calling her and emailing her to find out if the parts arrived. This was not just one incident . 2) they forgot or neglect to submit warranty work to the manufacturer. I waited 2 months to confirm my warranty work was approved. I called them every 2 weeks over a 2 month period and when the service representative finally returned my call she said that they were still waiting to hear from Thor. I asked her for the reference number so I could call Thor myself and she said they don't get a reference number. I finally called Thor and found out that they hadn't even submitted the warranty request at all and if they had submitted it there would have been a PA number. When I texted Travelland and asked for the GMs number, I got a very quick response....but the GMs number was never provided. 3) the service techs are unable to complete the work within the warranty time allotment so they need to charge extra. Apparently it took the service tech 1 hour to find out where the inverter was in my motorhome so he could turn it on. This was not the flat 1 hour minimum fee as a bunch of other warranty work was being done at the same time. 4) they are quoting two hours to replace some plastic trim on the ceiling that is only held in place by 8 screws. Of course this is one hour longer than Thor warranty group will authorize...and about 1 hour and 45 minutes longer than it would actually take. Even Thor is calling Travelland trying to understand how they are inventing these numbers. 5) I suspect the issues with Travelland stems from the top as the service representative said in an email that they would not be charging more time above the warranty period if I had bought my rv from them. And I never did receive the GM is phone number.

Yesterday I had the most terrifying experience of my life!!…read moreI went to pick up my trailer for storage to bring home for the night for camping this weekend as I have done since I bought it a year ago.. everything went right but something was very wrong.. 10 Minutes down the road on a country road in Airdrie with no shoulder and all of a sudden the trailer slams down on the ground as I'm going 90 and starts bouncing back and forth only attached by one cable as the cable was sheared, the emergency brake line pulled to lock the trailer breaks and the metal was dragging on the ground shooting sparks thru the air!! All while I try to slow down my vehicle and the trailer and stop without rolling either into the ditch as the was NO shoulder to pull over! I decided to try to call Racetrack RV where I bought it a year ago to ask their suggestion as to how I can move it now before I called a tow truck.. I was frantic! The receptionist who answered said no problem I'm going to transfer you to someone who can help.. The guy on the phone said no problem where are you I'm on my way!!Keep in mind I didn't just buy it.. it was in May 2017!! But after sitting terrified on the road , in the pouring rain not able to move I see the Racetrack truck pull up and feel so relieved!! I walk back to greet him and it's the owner!!! He gets down on the ground replaces the line so I am able to unlock and drive then says " ok now let's drive it to my service lot and I'll follow so you know you're safe" The Service business lot was closed for the day so he unlocks, drives me in, takes the trailer off my vehicle and as I'm thanking him over and over I ask when it can be fixed..he says " oh you're still camping this weekend this is our first service to be completed tomorrow " Now that is Customer Service..Talk about going above and beyond!!!! I love supporting companies who truly care about people!!

I've dealt with several people in parts & service since I bought my trailer at the RV show in February 2016. The latest was Shawn and I gotta say, so far he's been great to deal with. He was very accommodating by coming in on his day off so I could pick up my unit that was in for some warranty work and accident repair. He was helpful and thoroughly explained everything that was done. He has a genuine concern that the customers he looks after are happy with the service they've been given and that they will feel comfortable coming back should they need service in the future. My trailer was cleaned and ready to go when we arrived to pick it up. They also did a few minor services, like inspect the roof and tire pressure. These little things mean a lot to a customer. I've emailed the parts department several times and always got a response in a very timely manner. I will never recommend the Racetrack business team that I had the misfortune of dealing with (Matt & Josh) but I will absolutely recommend their parts and service staff, their sales staff and Ken, the owner as people I will do business with again. As someone that runs a camping group in Calgary, I will be sure to share my experience with the over 500 members in my group :)

Bucars is top notch knowledge on Tiffins as well as Newmar. The people were incredible nice and they keep you hooked up to power even before they take you into a bay. Shortly after taking possession, I notified Parker, the salesperson, that the fridge was going into "check" mode when plugged into shore power and also when running on propane. The trailer was also tripping the breaker at my house. Parker and I agreed that I would take the trailer camping over the May long weekend and then return it afterward for repairs. The service department was very helpful. They replaced a part on the fridge and advised me that it was working properly. I brought the trailer home, plugged it in, and everything initially seemed fine. The following day, I checked on the trailer and found the fridge had gone back into "check" mode and was sounding the alarm. I switched the fridge to propane while leaving the trailer plugged in, but the same issue continued and the alarm kept sounding. I contacted the service department and let them hear the noise over the phone. Another service appointment was scheduled, and I continued using the trailer. During this time, I unplugged the trailer from the power and operated it on battery power with the fridge running on propane. Under those conditions, the fridge worked perfectly. When I returned the trailer for service, I explained that the fridge operated properly on propane when the trailer was not plugged in, but consistently went into "check" mode and sounded the alarm whenever shore power was connected. Today, I received a call from the service department informing me that the refrigerator control board needed to be replaced. The manager stated that this was a different problem than the one previously repaired and that I would be responsible for up to $500 in repair costs. Unfortunately, this is not the first issue I have had with management. When I purchased the trailer for $34,000, the front window was cracked and needed replacement. The manager had the salesperson ask whether I would pay the additional $1,400 required for the repair. When I became upset and indicated that I wanted to cancel the entire purchase, the manager suddenly changed his position and claimed it had all been a misunderstanding. Would I purchase another RV from this dealer? Absolutely not. I would strongly recommend that others look elsewhere. In my opinion, this trailer had not been properly serviced before it was sold. It was not even properly cleaned. I found a baby bottle nipple in the bed area, and the outside kitchen was quite dirty. To be fair, the service department has been very good to deal with and has tried to help. My concerns are with the overall management of the dealership, which has been disappointing. I highly recommend not leaving a deposit or doing business with the parts department at rangeland in Calgary. Customers shouldn't have to pay for what they didn't order. I didn't take the product and they kept my money.
