The worse paint job. I pay them well . And in return there were areas that were painted that should have not been painted. I call spoke with Annette . And I was informed that I would have to pay them to fix their damage. Their boss should have at my residence especially hearing of customer complaint. We had our entire home painted on August 18, 2025, and I stayed until August 22, 2025, to go back to Connecticut and when we moved in September 10, 2025, into our home in PA. I e-mailed project manager and said that ALL 16 doors had paint drippings on door handles, hinges, latches, locks. Was told I signed off on the sheet and that it was a month later making this claim and there nothing Amato could do, but really it was 17 days. These are just a sample of the pictures; I could not take pictures of all the inside/outside hinges of 16 doors. There is not one door that did not have paint drippings, i also did not take pictures of the paint drippings on our ceiling fan, brand new bathroom fixtures. As the other reviews say, they subcontract. I had to have the lead guy come out twice to fix all the mistakes the sub contractor made. You'd think the guy whose name is on the company would reach out and apologize? Or inspect the work that is done under his name? No. Poor business practice. Had my molding done all on my first floor, paint was all over my existing walls. Had the ceilings done and he splattered all over my existing wall paint. General patching was included, when i pointed out a spot Ryan and i specifically discussed the original subcontractor spackled it and left it. Job done. The sub contractor had to contantly ask what work needed to be done, the guy didn't even know the job!!! I spent a day cleaning up paint chips off my wood floors and peeling tape left behind. Had to take 2 days off work to have them come out and "fix" it. Im still looking at my old paint through the new paint in some spots. Ive resorted to fixing it myself because i don't want them touching my walls again. Steer very clear of them. Never again. read more

We have used Ryan since the beginning when it was only him doing the painting. He painted out old home himself, from that point on we recommend him to everyone. His team does the same quality work we received from the beginning. When we moved to our new home we had the guys paint the entire exterior as well as the kitchen cabinets. I guess it should've been a major red flag when the estimate from the company includes a paragraph stating that Ryan Amato is too busy to deal with his clients. Now I understand. They hire subcontractors, who Amato Painting, LLC, hangs out to dry when they need support. The subcontractors hired were nice enough, but barely prepped the house for exterior painting. Obviously, this is a very important step in painting and the resulting paint job looked like a 5 year old did it. The office offers minimal support. The subcontractor "lead" did try to remedy the situation. Amato Painting did the estimate. They didn't convey the details to the subcontractors, which resulted in the painters rigging a 45' extension ladder on top of a van to reach the 3rd floor of our house. Obviously the painter didn't take the time to prep or paint correctly while he was dangling from an unsafe rig. Once again, Amato offered no support for the painters. Only when we noticed gross incompetence would it be fixed. I was hoping to hire a professional company who knew what they were doing, especially with the price tag. Unfortunately, we got amateurs who were just hoping to skate by with a crappy job. They also left a lot of trash, ruined shrubbery, and broke slate roof shingles. Takeaway: If you're thinking of hiring Amato Painting, be sure to do your own prepping, including removing anything affixed to the house (hose reels, etc.), and hit up the dollar store for your own dropcloths to protect landscaping. They spray the paint on instead of brushing. Additionally, you will need to be prepared to point out any deficiencies with the work in order to have them properly addressed. Or just save yourself a lot of aggravation and hire actual professional painters. (Check out pictures posted. This is what they consider a completed job.) read more

When I researched who to hire to paint my kitchen cabinets, I thought that I did my due diligence. I wanted to hire a local company and Amato's is 5-10 minutes away from my house. I also watched a YouTube video of Ryan Amato talking about high quality kitchen cabinet painting. Finally, Amato's advertises Free Touch ups for life so it was a no brainer to me to hire them. I did not realize that they sub contract. I will say that my painter did an exceptional job; however, he travelled far to my house which defeated the point of hiring locally. When Frank from Amato's called me, I asked him how they would paint the cabinets and he said that it's up to the painter. This confused me because I thought that I was hiring a company that was consistent in doing the best practices in kitchen cabinet painting. My painter sprayed the cabinets and they turned out fabulous; however, I wasn't informed in advance and thought that I would have some access to my kitchen during the process. This wasn't the case at all. Finally when I asked Amato's about the lifetime touch ups, I was quoted $1500 and then told that my project did not qualify since it's kitchen cabinets. As a customer, I feel that this is false advertising...so much for "Free touch ups for life." After the job was finished, Amato's never followed up with me on how everything went. I just received an email that final payment was due. The positives are that my painter did a great job on the painting. But when he put the cabinets back, he didn't pay attention to which cabinets belonged where and we had to re-attach them to get the holes lined up for the hardware to fit properly. I believe that my painter used the best technique for painting kitchen cabinets and he finished the job in 2 days. But since Amato subcontracts, you can never be sure that you will get a quality job. read more

Ryan Amato Painting did an outstanding job through the whole painting project. They kept the original schedule, showed up on time and worked at least 12 hours a day. They cleaned up the site each day before they left. The quality of their work and attention to detail was outstanding. Other quotes were 4 to 5 days for this project they finished it in 3 days and I was very impressed with the quality of their work. I would highly recommend Ryan amato painting and definitely hire them again. read more

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE Ryan Amato Painting. I contacted them to restain my deck at the end of April 2019. They explained they schedule out a week in advance and would be contacting us when our job was up. This is where the communication broke down. We went close to a month with very little contact from Ryan Amato Painting. The next break down in communication occurred when an employee showed up at our house midday to clean and prepare our deck without any warning. We had not been informed someone would be coming to work on our deck, therefore our deck furniture, grill, and various pots were still out on the deck. Not being home the worker was forced to move everything the best he could leaving marks and dirty spots on the deck. The following week I received another a call midday while at work from an employee who wanted to stain my deck that day. Unable to get home from work (and already waiting close to 3 months to have our job completed) we agreed to the next day. We were promised in past conversations that Ryan was personally going to stain our deck and glorified the situation. (to basically quiet us) That day the male that showed up was not Ryan, was not aware exactly what he was to perform on my deck, had to walk through my house because DID NOT HAVE A LADDER TO COMPLETE the job! I was told he would have to come back another day and finish or lean over the rails to paint! Wanting the project done and not wanting him to do a bad job by "leaning" I gave the man a ladder to finish my project. So he showed up unprepared and uninformed of what he needed to complete the job. At this point, I was extremely upset with the lack of communication and surprise visits to complete this job. I left a voice mail and emailed my complaints about the job. Again I hear nothing back from anyone at Ryan Amato Painting, except for an invoice. So they ignored my issues and just sent my bill with NO attempt to explain the situation or offer an apology. The lack of communication is absolutely astounding. Very unprofessional company and I am now left feeling robbed and disappointed this ended the way it did. Go with anyone else for your project and save yourself the stress. read more

Had an estimate scheduled more than 4 weeks in advance. No one showed up or called. I was not told to expect a virtual estimate. After the fact, I got an email saying they would do a virtual estimate for part of the job. Poor customer service. I recognize you may be busy, but that does not mean you have poor customer service. I would not hire them, even for the part of the job they gave the estimate for. Too much attention to google advertising and making you tube videos. Not enough time actually taking care of customers. There are many other reputable painters. Don't choose them just because they're at the top of internet google search. read more

I had used them years ago with excellent results for cabinet painting. Tried them again recently and they subcontracted a different company that obviously did not have the experience. Paid for an experienced company and got a new painter job. Still fixing the painting errors and had to pay another company to fix the cabinets that were put together wrong. All this and was not offered refund or decreased pricing. Will never use them or refer to them again. read more

Several issues with this company everything from the paint job performed to the way their mgmt. handled it. Even when I contacted the owner, Ryan, he said he doesn't deal with operational issues and asked me to try to resolve with the salesman after talking to two different operational managers. They said that the painting didn't meet my expectations but I think it would not meet anyone's expectations. The dining room, kitchen, family room, upstairs and downstairs hallways were painted. Most lines where the wall and trim meet are not straight, the paint in any of the 90 degree angles does not go all the way to the corner, there is ceiling paint on the crown molding, several areas that they missed painting all together, there is paint spatter on my hardwood floor and stairs, wall paint on the white trim, many layers of paint on quite a bit of trim when my house is only about 2 years old, paint drippings on walls and trim that was not cleaned up and now is dried on. They also removed all leftover paint from my home which I was charged for. The list is quite extensive. After three different painters were in my home, they are now asking to send a fourth to try to resolve and they expect full payment. The poor quality I received is noticed on nearly every wall in every room they painted. Not a company that I would recommend doing business with. read more

Just want to tell you a little bit about our story we used this company to pressure wash our house they ruined our siding they did not back up their job we called them multiple times to come out and look at the issues they came out and looked but said they can do nothing about it this company does not guarantee their work I would never use them if I have the option to give them zero stars I would unfortunately I had to leave this review but it is something I do not like to do to a local company , very unhappy customer!!! read more

Absolutely no clean-up. Not sure they use drop clothes, spent about 4 hours cleaning all the paint specs off my hardwood floor. called to complain and told someone would get back to you. of course they never did. read more

Chuck & Brian did a great job on my kitchen cabinets. A little issue with the doors sticking and removing a little of the paint but they are coming out to fix. Very friendly and knowledgeable about paint. I would use them again. read more

I wish I could be one of the lucky ones that is able to give a 5 star review. Unfortunately my experience was beyond horrible!! What started out as just painting my kitchen cabinets, turned into having to repair my hardwood floor due to paint on it in spots and the finish pulled off from their taping job in other spots. They got paint on my porous stone backsplash. Whatever tape they used pulled the paint off my walls. And after all this it's not like my cabinets looked amazing and made up for the mess they created. Nope, they looked so bad!!! They were bumpy and "orange peel" looking. Some of the cabinet doors only had one coat of paint and you could see right through it. I was devasted to say the least. When I called to talk about getting this fixed the communication was awful. The "answering service" would tell me someone would call in the next 12-24 hours but after not getting calls back I would have to call again to follow up. I was so frustrated and asked to talk to Ryan, the owner of this company. Never did I get a response from him. Kyle Eades who was the sales representative was initially very responsive but even he was impossible to get a response back from after all this. They offered to power wash for me because of the horrible job they did. I agreed which was a huge mistake because although I specified "just do the siding". They did everything, including my windows- with the screens still on- that I had had professionally cleaned only a few months prior. They also did my front patio and dislodged some of the cement and it was all over my garden. When I questioned Kyle about it he assured me the guy only did the siding. When I got in touch with the guy who did the power washing he told me "Kyle told me to do everything". I have no idea how this company is getting all these great reviews (although some of the names I recognize as being employees of the company- surprise, surprise). I just want to tell my story so someone doesn't end up like me with more costs of repairs due to the damage Ryan Amato Painting caused than the actual cost to paint my cabinets (which still look horrible). read more
