This afternoon I needed to pick up some items for an apple sangria we were making and I was excited to see that Ryan and Casey's had all the items I needed, plus more. This store has an incredible amount of alcoholic beverages which as said in a previous review includes an amazing amount of ciders. They had a few items I had never seen before including Angry Orchard Iceman. This cider was delicious and they had a ton of others. They also have a great selection of beer and hard alcohol. This is also the only store in the area were I have been able to find multiple apple brandy brands. The only critique that I have about this store is that sometimes the employees are a bit rude. Some staff also gets frustrated if you ask them to help you find a certain item in their vast selection. Other employees are great but it is definitely a hit and miss. read more

My gilfriend and I were on our way out to her family's farmhouse in Western Mass for Thanksgiving. We had to stop for beer. We stopped at the first place along the way and lamented the poor selection, but grabbed something we were fine with and we were on our way. But my girlfriend wanted everything to be perfect for the Farmhouse Thansgiving so she said "Let's stop somewhere else." We were passing by and just happened to stop into Ryan and Casey's. How serindipitous. The beer selection was absolutely incredible. As another reviewer said, it's easily the best selection I've seen outside of a major city. The staff was friendly and unpretentious. The prices were fair. And they were happy to sell you anything you wanted in a single. I stocked up on a wide variety and then got too drunk on Thanksgiving and yelled at my girlfriend's dad. Wow. Their beer selection is pretty amazing. I was stunned! So many craft and local brews! Their wines are great too. My friend was able to find a California Pinot that she hasn't been able to find anywhere else, including at Table and Vine. I was impressed by their sale selection too. The selection here is, bar-none, the best selection of craft beers I've ever seen outside of a first-rate beer store in major city. Both domestic and European beers are exceptionally well represented here and nearly every liquor you could imagine is available. If you're headed up to the Green Mountain State for any recreational activities, this is a good stop to make for beers and liquors -- just be sure to apply upward pressure to your jaw before you enter. read more

Review is in regards to the beer selection, which is top-notch and likely the best in Western Mass. Large craft selection which spans many of the best microbreweries in the country. Sizable rack of imported Belgians as well as the best Belgian-style brews from the states. Lots of bombers. Pricing is pretty good. Carries mostly all of the best local breweries in MA, and their prices on Berkshire bombers and growlers are very good. They allow you to break up six packs and both times I took advantage they did not mark-up each bottle for doing so, unlike Table & Vine in W. Springfield. They also have a very good wine selection and large coolers of your regular light beer and macro brands. It's possible to catch them in between stock-ups of certain names, as I did last time when the Troegs shelf was nearly bare, but that's a minor complaint. Overall selection is fantastic and well-maintained, a great stop and glad to have places like this. read more

I went into Ryan and caseys for the first time to buy beer. I asked one of the workers if they would give me a 12 pack price if I bought two 6 packs of Sam Adams and she rudely said no. They have these mixed pack six packs of Different beers for 9.99 in a brown bag. I like to try new beers so I went with it. I bought a 6 pack of the beer I wanted and a six pack of the mix micro brews in the bag that they made. When I opened the brown bag I found that every beer in there was expired or was about too. One beer had expired back in September of last year. Quite a crafty way to get rid of beer that is old in your store. Not impressed. I can't remember the last time I spent nearly 10 dollars for a six pack of expired beer. Will not be going back. Beware of the brown paper bags in this store...... old expired beer. read more

I come to this place once a year for the Beer and Wine Festival they hold in September. I highly recommend you mosey on over for this. It's a little out of the way as I live in NYC but I have an annual date with my college roommate to come here and sample until I'm drunk at noon. It's thanks to this fest that I know what kind of beer I like now: wheat beers particularly of the Belgian variety. They set up in the parking lot and you get a Ryan & Casey double shot glass to sample in and a food ticket for your entrance fee (pulled pork sandwiches!!!). Then it's 6 hours (used to be 4 hours) of sampling fun. We try to pace ourselves but we're always too excited and like I said drunk by noon. There's also stands selling stuff like at a fair (jewelry, sculptures, clothes, paintings, salsa...) You can be selective about how you taste but I go for all wheat beers, anything with a cool name and hard ciders; this means I try everything except the wines. I tried to write down the names of the ones I really liked so I can come back and load up the car before I head back to NYC. This doesn't usually work bc drunk writing is basically illegible. There were a lot of blueberry beers that were yummy like Seadog. There's a sweet strawberry beer that tastes like candy, Fruli, that I brought back for my sister who doesn't like to drink (what??) and she found it delish. There's the best hard cider I've ever had---J.K.'s Scrumpy Hard Cider which I never see at stores so I make multiple trips to this tent and sample about a dozen times. Can't get enough. There's a chocolate stout that sampleman had me mix with a banana beer and that made for a tasty beverage dessert. And many many more.... And last year when I went one of the stands was selling bacon chocolate chip cookies!! Very delicious...but then again I was sufficiently drunk to eat just about anything. My friend and I went back to Ryan & Casey's the next day to buy our favorites from the fest, which ended up being a trunk full! We had a lot of fun picking and choosing, and when the owner saw how much we were purchasing he gave us a discount on the whole lot. That is excellent service, wouldn't you say? I enjoy this fest immensely and look forward to seeing my Ryan & Casey double shot glass collection grow. See you in Sept for my 4th fest! read more

Ryan & Casey Liquor Store has an incredible selection of beer, wine, and liquor! If they don't have what you want, they can special order it, and even give discounts on cases. For our wedding, we ordered from them, and they called to tell us when we could pick up the cases, and even helped load them into our car. Awesome. read more

Love this place! They have great discounts if you're buying in bulk. We bought all the alcohol for our wedding here. But even for everyday drinking, its fun to browse their selection. You could probably spend hours looking at all the different and interesting things they have, and they are all about supporting local breweries, which is AMAZING. Great place. Excellent beer selection and they have sales on different items every month. This month it's 10% Off new England beers. Staff members are helpful and always recognize me, which maybe isn't a good thing. This is the only liquor store I shop at in Greenfield, aside from Big Y or Foster's. Unlike a lot of liquor stores in this region, these guys had a ton of craft beer. They also had some Kind folks who are Passionate about craft beer and gave some good recommendations based on our convo as well as a nice survey of the local scene. They have a ton of local stuff and they do a good job of bringing in new things as wel. Even by the register they were rocking Evil Twin. lost abbey, and Harviesloun. What jerks! I ordered a case of wine as a gift for $218 as a birthday present for our sister in Greenfield. They could not get through to the recipient via phone so they let it sit in the back room for over a month!! Finally, after at least 5 weeks they called to say they had not arranged delivery. There goes that present! When I called back to suggest even a discount- since the birthday gift was ruin, they did nothing. Never called me to follow up - I had to call them.
