I went looking for non surgical treatment regarding the skin on my face and neck. I was newly…read moreretired at the time and felt like I could use a refresher. During the consultation it was recommended that I have their Halo treatment for the skin surface and any sun damage and pigmentation problems. It was also recommended I have two Softwave treatments, this would supposedly generate new collagen growth underneath the surface. The before and after pictures for the Softwave were definitely impressive, but fair warning here, also VERY deceptive. I personally saw nothing like the before and after pictures in their brochures, in fact the esthetician and I looked at my before and after pictures and agreed there was little if any difference! I certainly appreciated here honesty in agreeing that there really was no change, especially when you consider how excruciatingly painful these 2 Softwave procedures were. I am not exaggerating when I say I have never been in such prolonged pain in my life, each session took at least an hour and this was after a topical anesthetic was applied! The esthetician even remarked that she had other clients who were also dissatisfied and that she was considering reaching out to the Softwave company to ask that something be done for her dissatisfied clients. She asked me if I would like to consider getting a third treatment at no cost to myself. I told her at the time that I just didn't think I could endure a third treatment even if it were free, considering also that there was NO improvement with the first two treatments, but that I wouldn't least think about it and get back with her. I did ultimately reach out to her through email, not necessarily inquiring about a third treatment, but maybe to discuss a slight reimbursement in the cost of the original procedure which was 4800$, if not that, maybe a couple of gift cards, that I could use on their very pricey skincare products. She never responded to my email. And to add insult to injury, I did have a gift card valued at 125$ that came with my skincare package that totaled just under 6500$ (this included the Halo,) (which is a whole other disappointment) that I won't go into here. And that gift card that came with the package actually expired before I even had the chance to use it. I mentioned that I had no idea it would expire, (it was in the fine print, not on the card itself) Nope, they wouldn't honor it! I am writing this review for others who are considering Bengston, just be careful! Lower any expectations you may have that you will notice any improvement whatsoever. And most of all buyer beware. In retrospect for me it was like pissing hard earned money into the wind. Hard lesson learned!!! Well, my well planned virtual visit, easily scheduled in person meeting for sizing, and my pre-op appointment for marking were professional, thorough, and left me feeling like I was in the most capable hands. Anna, his medical assistant, is so kind and reassuring. She does an amazing job of making sure all is running smoothly for each appointment and answered any questions that I had. The front desk staff are kind, helpful, and make the most of your time. The rooms are private, clean and comfortable. I met a medical student at my initial appointment, as well as two others during my marking appointment. Dr. Hammond made made so many notes on exactly how he was going to perform my surgery, that even I was impressed by his level of detail and felt very important. He is professional, thorough, and very sure he can deliver on his promises. Surgery day arrived and I was treated like the only patient on the planet. Dr. Hammond came in to check on me and go over the plan. The surgery team (Karen was awesome) was concerned and answered all my questions after going over my plan, the surgery center is state of the art and private, and my husband was kept up to date on each stage of my procedure. And yet another plastic surgeon was in my surgery, learning from the master! I found out afterward that Dr. Hammond had taken extra time to ensure my results were what he had promised. I got to see video from my procedure directly post-op, and he spoke with my husband and I about the entire decision process. I admit that I was a little doubtful that his SAFE augmentation protocol could really leave me almost painless, able to return to normal activity the next day. I expected to be unable to raise my arms, hug my family, or even pull up my hair on my own. I am happy to admit, I was wrong! My family kept having to remind me that I had just had surgery! I went back to work five days later and had no issues taking only Tylenol for a few days. I'm over the moon with my choice in surgeon and staff. The consultant even mentioned it had worked for her, which made me feel confident moving forward. Later, I realized her hair may have been dyed blonde -- which could explain why she saw results and I didn't. Unfortunately, the treatments didn't work for me and caused breakouts.
