They also recommended a crown for one of my back teeth that had lost a filling. He didn't fill it but rather waited for me to come in for a new crown. The cost estimate was pricey so I had to hold off on the dental work. 6 mos. later, still needing a filling, I had a cleaning, which was a terrible job. The hygenist didn't even floss me at all, ignoring my bridge and gums. I was very disappointed with the "cleaning". The dentist came in and ended up filling the hole in my tooth, which he'd wanted to crown before. All my other "loose" fillings are still intact just fine. I feel like I was going to be ripped off so I now have a new dentist.

Overall they are sufficient for normal cleanings. My husband needed more extensive treatment and…read moreinformed them it takes a lot longer for the medications to take effect than a typical person. The dentist was not patient and instead apologized multiple times as he proceeded, seeing the pain in my husband's face. Additionally once we were asked a few weeks prior to move our appointment up an hour to help accommodate their schedule. We then sat for over an hour waiting to be seen b/c of another patient's dental emergency. This would have been acceptable IF I had been told something while sitting in the in waiting room for that hour. Especially when they charge you if you need to cancel your appointment within 24 hours!! I missed another appointment due to them, can I charge them $25?? We will not be returning.

Wow!! I can't say enough great things about this location and the people who work here. I was…read morenervous about my almost 3-year old having her first real cleaning and not going to a pediatric dentist. However, the dental hygienist who cleaned her teeth was AMAZING. She took the time to explain each tool to my daughter and let her test it out. Then, the dentist who checked on her teeth was so kind and sweet with her. The ladies at the front desk are also the best- so kind and helpful!! Ultimately we had a great first experience for our daughter and I'd recommend them to anyone!!

After posting my review, I received several calls from Eureka Dental Group. First was from the…read morePatient Account Specialist and she did help explain the new charges but was still unwilling to give me an appointment until I gave them a "reservation fee" of $120. She said my crown was there but I could not get it until I paid her for a reservation. While I did have the money, I was unwilling to pay to make an appointment. I think their policy of paying to make an appointment is ridiculous and unheard of. There are simply way too many dentists in Eureka to have to abide by such a draconian policy. The second call I received was from the Office Manager, and she did seem to care about my frustrations and did agree to a payment plan to address the additional (hidden/uninformed) charges. She also lowered the reservation fee from $120 to $100. She explained the reservation fee would be applied towards my procedure; that they employ this concept on longer procedures to help ensure patients show up for their appointments. Although I emphatically disagree with the reservation fee concept, I did pay it (crown hostage fee) so I could make an appointment. Personally, I think Eureka Dental Group should adopt a no-show policy in line with other doctors that charge a no-show fee rather than charging a reservation fee. A couple of days later I received a call from Dr. Wehrmeister. He indicated it was his day off and he was calling because his Office Manager had informed him of my concerns and he wanted to try an address them. Dr. Wehrmeister seemed to genuinely care about my issues with Eureka Dental Group and I was impressed he took the time to call me on his day off to talk thru my recent experiences. After about a 20-minute conversation I felt comfortable Eureka Dental Group valued me as a patient and cared for my satisfaction, despite their unwillingness to concede the reservation fee policy. I went on about my day and received a second call from Dr. Wehrmeister about 15-minutes following our previous conversation. To my surprise, Dr. Wehrmeister said he talked with his Office Manager and they felt the fair thing to do was to pick-up my out of pocket increase that was not communicated to me until after the fact. This was one of my biggest concerns/complaints and I feel they have adequately addressed this concern. Likewise, I am changing my review from 1-star to 4-stars and will give EDG another opportunity to retain my business. Thank you, Dr. Wehrmeister and Eureka Dental Group Team!!

Be aware before booking!…read more I made a dental appointment for my husband at this facility, since we wanted someplace local that is covered by his insurance. They seemed fine enough until we received a $400 bill last week for a standard check up. When I checked my husband's insurance, it was due to a charge on there for an xray that is only covered on his insurance once every five years meaning it is not a standard xray. My husband called the office to talk with them about the bill, and the office lady put him on hold to bring up his account. When she got back on the phone, she was immediately rude and said he signed a form stating they do a full xray examination for every new patient, no exceptions. My husband told he that in all the years he has gotten his teeth cleaned twice a year, he has never received a bill or had a dentist office give him xrays that weren't standard. The office lady admitted they were special xrays and were stated in the paperwork they give new patients. The office lady told him he should have read through the paperwork, and it's not their responsibility to tell patients about xrays that may not be covered. We are now stuck with a $400 bill for their little scheme they have going on, and we clearly won't be returning. If you don't want to get an unexpected bill on your first visit or ever, I would find a new dentist. They know exactly what they are doing by the way she spoke to my husband and her demeanor with the billing situation. I would not recommend them to anyone.
