Dentists are great. The front office is incompetent. One office administrator told me she'd send the information off to the insurance company to pay the claim. When I called back after paying a very large sum, I was told that my Kingston Dental was out of my insurance company's network and I'd have to submit the claims myself. Another frustration... I booked an appointment on the phone with a scheduler for a crown and teeth extraction, when we arrived they told me we'd now have to go to a oral surgeon. Rather than validate my frustrations, they were more focused on saving their own bottoms. Would not recommend this office, even though it's right by my house. read more

I'm not a fan at all of the dentist. I had a bad experience from a prior dentist office and was a little scared to go to a new office but I knew I didn't want to go back to the prior dentist. My boyfriend has been going to Kingston Dental and referred me to them and I am so glad he did! They are very professional and caring. They explain everything in detail and make sure you are comfortable. I will definitely be back and highly recommend them to anyone who may ask! read more

Would not recommend. They sell you on all kinds of gimmicks that are not necessary. Also tried to do a crown on a filling only tooth and only when I had a second opinion things rapidly changed. The billing department is ridiculous and will bill you for 5 dollars after the adjustments if they are off, which is a waste of everyone's time. I would take your family somewhere else, it's not worth the hassle with these folks. read more

I have been going to this office for just about a year, I have a lot of positive experiences. The dentist and dental hygienists are great. They explain things effectively and are considerate and patient. My issue is with the front office staff. On several occasions while sitting in the waiting room I have witnessed poor behavior. They engage in catty behavior, whether it's talking poorly about customers they were on the phone with, complaining about others dental questions or financial concerns. Confusion on there insurance or establishing car. Or even talking about other coworkers in the back! It's extremely unprofessional and "mean girl" behavior. If you don't like your job then find a new one! This is not in line with the professionalism of the establishment. I feel for the dentists and back office staff who have excellent customer service and are committed to excellence. To have front of house positions effecting the quality of such a great dentist office. read more

This was my second attempt at establishing a dental care facility in the area through this office. Granted, my dental health is precarious, however this office seemed to only care about their financial well being, not the patients well being. I arrived with a painful abscess, after being seen by an urgent care several days prior and calling the office for an appointment. I was told I would need to wait another day and a half. Which I did. The assistant was judgmental and not helpful. The dentist looked as if he had been on vacation for several weeks....unshaven. Neither listened to, or acknowledged, the severe abscess, pain and swelling, or my request for extraction. Clearly, they were interested in their financial well being, not mine. Completely crest fallen and disappointed. I would not recommend Kingston Dental. read more

Back in September I had a crown put on at Kingston Dental. He used so much meds to numb me I thought I wasn't going to be able to drive home. The next visit I told him about it and asked not to have meds when they put on the permanent crown. He assured me that it would be no big deal to do that. It was just popping on the permanent one. I want to say that was the most painful experience I ever had. Or so I thought. Dr Greif said it would take a month or two before it would feel normal. So skip to late November. I got Covid really bad. Not hospitalized just sick almost 4 weeks. I still could not eat on that side. I called right after the new year. Explain I could not eat on that side and had some pain. They said it would be 3-4 weeks before they could see me. I said I guess I would wait because my cleaning was 4 weeks away. Told Dr Greif about this. He apologized that they didn't get me in sooner. He prescribed steroids. Said that should help it. It did as long as the steroids lasted. I called back. Once again had a hard time getting in. Explain my pain was a 10. If they weren't going to see me that I was going to go to the ER. I was losing feeling in my tongue at this point. Dr Greif seemed annoyed and told me I needed physical therapy to help me. My neck was the issue he said. And I needed about $1000 in mouth guards. I was so scared about the pain in my head and losing feeling in my tongue. Called my doctor. She was very concerned. She ordered an MRI. It came back that there was mild nerve issues. Put me on meds. So I went to another dentist for a second opinion. He said I needed a root canal. At this point I remember Dr Greif commenting that he hoped I would not need a root canal back in September. So I was scheduled for a root canal. Not 1, but 2!!! The smell of that deadness in mouth my was horrible. I had a horrible infection. It took a few days but I was finally pain free for the first time in months. If I would have listened to Dr Greif I would have spent another $2000 in appliances and therapy. I had to have another crown put on the tooth next to the one he originally put on. The infection had spread to that tooth. You really need to think about using this office. They don't make you a priority when you have an issue. Sarah was my hygienist and she was fantastic! Best part of the business. I've contacted my insurance to see about filing a grievance against what he charged me for services after the crown. Working on that now. read more

Everyone in the office seems committed to making your visit as comfortable as possible. I've always gotten good treatment at Kingston Dental Care. June 17th after the Covid lockdown, I was assigned a different hygienist, Becky, she is the real deal. From the time she walked out to my car to get me and throughout the cleaning, she was the happiest, friendliest person you could wish for. I really hate to do this because so many people had good experiences and I had a problem. Filled out the necessary paperwork and walked in for my first visit, using my Yelp coupon. Dentist was quiet but seemed to be thorough. No problem. I knew I needed a lot of dental work done but I was shocked that the estimate given was for 12K. They whisked me off to the "financial lady" they have on staff, where she tried to offer sources of payment. I told her I was going to need a second opinion. I made an appointment with another Dentist for a second opinion and I called Kingston Dental to see if I could pick up the xrays. They refused me stating that I really hadn't paid for them because of my Yelp coupon and if I wanted to pay $300 for the xray then, and only then, would they release it. I was surprised they had a financial person on staff to begin with and that they refused to send the new Dentist my xrays. I will never be back. read more

Growing up looking slightly like Alfred P. Neuman and Louie Anderson's love child, I figured 25 was a good age to finally get some dental work done. You're probably thinking I'm gross, but I don't mean I finally caved in a got a cleaning! Ew. Been there and done that. It was time for veneers! Being very hesitant, the dentist (Dr. Greif) agreed to show me on my OWN teeth what the new veneers would look like. This was a first. Every other dentist I've been to would only agree to show me on a plaster mold. I'm sorry, but I'm not having my real teeth shaved down into nubs because they look good on a blue set of teeth across the room. This was much better! They looked great. If you come here, be wary as they may not take your crappy dental insurance. However, they have an awesome office with a fridge stocked full of water, juice and soda (you know ... the good for your teeth stuff). The staff is very friendly, and the dentists are superb and listen to your needs. I must add that every dentist before Dr. Greif told me they couldn't help me. My teeth are too straight for braces, plus I wouldn't want to add to my nerd factor. InVisalign wouldn't help. I've heard it all. They just gave up! Dr. Greif gave me hope for the first time ever that I could have beautiful teeth. It's pretty life changing. I just hope I don't speak with a lisp now. Until then, goodbye gap-toothed daddies! I don't know what the hell is going on at this office but man are they genuinely good people! We had an accident 3 hours before a wedding and they saw us on a Saturday, 1 hour before closing, and with no appointment. They all seemed to genuinely care about the accident, treated us better than I've ever been treated at a doctor or dentist, and did a fantastic job mending the cracked tooth! I couldn't have been happier with our experience and if I lived in St. Louis, I would immediately use them as my primary dentist! read more

I love this place. They are ALL friendly. Dr Greif is such a nice guy, you get the feeling when he's talking to you that he actually likes you as a person; like he really does care about your hobbies and such. The Hygienist (gosh I am sorry I forgot her name!) is very gentle and friendly too. I feel like their techniques are totally state of the art and the place is very clean as well. I haven't gotten into the SERIOUS dental care yet, just some initial visits and cleanings, but I will be sure to check back when the big stuff gets done. By the way, after my first visit, I got a REAL card in the mail. With real handwritten address, and real, sincere message inside, and signed by Dr' Greif in the same handwriting. Alright, I have been here many times over the last 5 years!! I first started with needing my wisdom teeth removed, no insurance, little part time job, and the ladies helped me apply for the care credit card to off set my payments for this process. Doc was amazing. I do nottttt like dentists at all. But he warned me when I was going to feel something or hear something while he was extracting them. Afterwards he called me to follow up to make sure I was doing okay. I've need had any doctor do this! That's a step above and beyond the status quo. Fast forward- I waited too long to get back in (that no insurance thing) so once I got insurance we started the normal cleanings and perio treatments and moved on here and there to fillings/ crown. I think I've chatted with just about everyone in the office at some time or another and the staff is amazing. They don't just get you in to get your money, they remember their patients and actually care! They will laugh with you, or at you (if you are my crazy hubby leaving the oil cap off on my car so it smokes in the parking lot lol) and you can grow with this practice. I have referred quite a few people here and will continue to do so. Love this office. read more

OVER DIAGNOSERS! I paid for a cleaning ahead of time. Then was told I needed to pay more for a deeper cleaning. Then left with a $3,000 treatment plan. Yes really. I had all records sent to another office for a second opinion where I had one cavities filled. One. Not a whole mouth full of work. I called Kingston Dental on a Saturday morning with a horrible toothache that had kept me up all night. My dentist's office had been closed for 2 days, as they have no office hours on Friday or Saturday :(. The receptionist was awesome, and asked how quickly I could get there. They squeezed me in, found the cracked tooth and the infection and did the root canal right then and there...temporary crown and all...all on a Saturday morning.
