The reviews are accurate the "office management" care more about money than they do about pain or…read moresuffering. Callous and Venal are the the words I would choose. I canceled a Monday appointment on a prior Thursday because I was going to seek immediate attention for my pain. Marc's practice is closed Fri thru Sunday and did not want to be discourteous by canceling the Monday appointment, DAY OF, if I had been successful in finding treatment! The cancellation had NOTHING to due with money! Marc may be a good Dentist but his "practice" SUCKS and his scheduling staff are insensitive LIARS. Avoid this DMD , he IS way overpriced and his staffs blatant disregard for the patient pain involved in their CHOSEN line of work make them unworthy of a profitable business and deserving of this terrible review. Hey Marc, I had things to tell you about the mystery of the reason my last root canal was ultimately Extracted and I had assessed your character as BETTER THAN THIS.

I went to this dentist some years back and his work was good. I had no issues. But for some…read morereason when I needed to book another appointment with him, I was told that my chart had been flagged and they couldn't book an appointment. Of course I asked what the reason for this was and they said they couldn't see the reason. So they wouldn't meet with me to discuss this issue to get to the bottom of this. I have never heard of this before. so for this reason, I wouldn't recommend this practice. I will never know what the reason was...

On July 12, 2023 Dr. Shawn Kennedy gave me the impression (after looking at x-rays) that he could…read moresave both tooth #21 and tooth #22 with root canals and surgical root resorption repair (fillings). Dr. Kennedy was supposed to remove the sutures on August 23rd, however, the office called that morning to say that he would be unavailable. I did not get that message since I was already gone. Instead his assistant tried and could not get them out so she called Dr. Mancia (whom I had not met) to help. The removal of the stitches was a very painful procedure. My gums did not heal and they were causing me pain. Dr. Kennedy recommended I see Dr. Fertik for laser surgery which did not help but cost more money with the evaluation, procedure and follow up appointment. Dr. Fertik mentioned that part of the filling of #21 had become loose. I believe this was due to faulty workmanship from Dr. Kennedy. Dr. Fertik said he would call Dr. Kennedy. I did not hear back from Dr. Kennedy. When I called his office his response through the receptionist was "PULL THE TOOTH" and he did not offer to see me again to check on the loose filling. On February 19, 2024 I went to go to an oral surgeon who lifted out the piece of loose filling. He pulled my tooth #21 on March 15, 2024. I believe that Dr. Kennedy and his office were very unprofessional during this experience. He lacked skill in taking care of my teeth, was uncaring and did not follow through. This whole experience cost me $3,968.75. I could have avoided much of this cost if he would have done a good job with tooth #21. I would not recommend Dr. Kennedy.

Now I've had root canals before, dating back to 1957. That first one took about 3 weeks with many intermediate treatments- most without novocain. These procedures, thankfully, have been refined over the years but I was not expecting the ease and efficiency of Dr Ewing's treatment. This was a breeze. I was in and out in about an hour and was absolutely, positively pain free. The office followed up the next day and I reported no discomfort whatsoever. I enthusiastically recommend the Kennedy practice and Dr James Ewing if you need this kind of work.
