Dr Ryan was my gynecologist long before I became I mom, and he is to this day. I've been going to him for over 20 years, and I have no complaints at all. He is a fun and silly person who clearly understands how ridiculously uncomfortable it is (mentally and sometimes physically) to have a gynecological exam, and he will chat and laugh with his patients to get them through the experience with minimal discomfort. He has had three nurses since I started seeing him, and every one of them has been warm, funny, kind, spunky, and well . . . just the kind of woman you'd want to go have a drink with. Dr. Ryan is very much NOT an alarmist. He is quite easy-going, and his confidence is extremely reassuring, especially for nervous soon-to-be moms. His jovial and relaxed bedside manner aside, however, he is also extremely knowledgeable and reacts quickly to save lives when the situation arises, as it did with the birth of my first child. After a brutally long labor, Dr. Ryan indulged my fears for my own pain with sympathy and good humor until the second my daughter began experiencing distress in utero. At that moment, he became all business, moving extremely quickly to pull my girl out with forceps while barking at the nurses and other people there so they too would react quickly on her arrival. It turns out that the umbilical cord had wrapped around her neck twice and was choking her with my pushing. The second he knew there was a problem, he acted amazingly and ensured that I would have a lovely, healthy daughter instead of a sad tale to tell. I know he takes Blue Cross, Blue Shield, because that is the type of insurance I have. I could not recommend him more highly. Additionally, I see that he has scored a 100% satisfaction rating at healthgrades based on 13 of his other patients' surveys (I did not do one).

It was a welcome change & the staff have been phenomenal since day one. I started going here in April/May 2022. My doctor is amazing, caring, attentive,& listens to your concerns. Unlike the other program, he didn't force any choices on me or make me feel guilty about anything. My surgery date was 9/2022 & everything has been wonderful. He has I think 2 or 3 kids of his own that are high school age so he understands parents concerns and is not one of those doctors that gets mad if you call to ask a question. I really liked that he visited my baby and I in the hospital the day he was born, even thought it wasn't the hospital he normally works out of. All very personal, and some of them truly embarrassing. This so-called doctor of medicine, Dr. Peeper, turned to me and said "Oh, that's not a real thing. It's all in your head." This is, my friends, textbook gas lighting, which is considered abuse by any standard, highly damaging, and never something I would expect any legitimate medical professional to say. If you are in perimenopause, run very far and very fast away from Dr. Peeper and find a doctor who is 1. knowledgeable, 2. professional, and 3. capable of showing a mere modicum of compassion.

I recently needed a procedure when I developed a symptom and he did a great job on the surgery and also helping me understand timing implications while were worried about the recent upsurge in COVID cases possibly limiting my options. His staff helped a ton with getting me names and referrals for surgery clearance. I am so grateful to the whole practice for all their help! I recently asked Dr Peeper for some recommendations of doctors for another family member, totally unrelated to my health and he knows which physicians are the best to go to in their field in NO since he is so well respected and a top notch medical leader in NO. It's not hard getting an appt time, his staff are good at working with my schedule, and as with any OB, since he delivers babies, his waiting room times can be fast, or a little longer.
