He also advised extracting a tooth that previously had a root canal, after which I have experienced ongoing jaw and ear pain. While the front office staff are friendly, both the dentist and office manager handled my case unethically. They were aware that errors had been made but were evasive rather than transparent. As a result, I have spent over $10,000 on corrective treatment and follow-up visits. For anyone considering mercury filling removal, I would strongly urge caution. In my experience, the process caused more damage than benefit, and if you are asymptomatic, it may be best to leave fillings undisturbed. Some studies also suggest removal can increase mercury exposure rather than reduce it. One positive note is that he did successfully treat a cavitation that other dentists had been unable to diagnose. The office reimbursed a very small portion for his mistakes.
