Think talking to staff on the on the phone is a better price than just blindly booking online. I listed prices at the moment below with what we fit and other tips we want to remember. What we fit in our transit van: Larger than normal 3seat sofa, larger than normal love seat, bar table, 8cubed shelving, queen mattress and queen box spring and bed frames with floating shelves, huge flat screen tv, a dresser, large mirror (as big as regular 3seat sofa size), 2 ottomans, art piece and large frames, and bunch of smaller or easier to manuever items. Damages to care about has to be bigger than quarter dent, and scratches longer than dollar bill? Gas needs to be at/more than point when received or get charged for gas. Over mileage will be charged per $x what current price is. Due to covid times, they no longer drop or pick you up (ignore the phone on hold spew). Insurance: If your insurance is full coverage, then that should usually cover your car. Double check in case with specific rental you got. Transit Van is a cheaper option to U-Haul moving. Rachet straps needed to secure items. = We paid $203ish for Friday 7am - Monday 7am, transit van was same price as regular cargo due to that day's deal? Or inventory? Changes every day. When I called back to move forward and place a deposit, a different salesperson suddenly tried to add a $10,000 markup. When I questioned the markup, he became upset and hung up on me. I called back several times asking to speak with a sales manager and was repeatedly hung up on. The next day, Samantha reached out to follow up on my inquiry. I explained everything that had happened, and she connected me with the General Manager. After hearing my experience, the GM apologized and assured me they would honor the truck at MSRP. He said they would send me a link to place my deposit. Hours passed and I never received the link. I called multiple times but couldn't get a response from Samantha or anyone on the sales team. Then, on 7/13, Samantha contacted me again with completely different numbers than what we had agreed to. This time, they refused to sell me the truck unless I purchased mandatory add-ons, including LoJack, paint protection, and glass protection, adding $4,575 to the price. This dealership wasted my time, changed the terms multiple times, and used bait-and-switch tactics. If you're quoted a price, get everything in writing and be prepared for it to change. He was unprofessional from the get go, looking disinterested with no smile accompanied by a sweaty handshake and looking at his phone on and off. It wasn't until we got inside the car we were looking at for a test drive that he started looking less disinterested and started dropping profanities every other sentence as if he was talking to a friend. When I asked him if he could price the vehicle around $21,000, he said he couldn't and that it would have to be sticker price at around $23,000, as per what "his phone showed". I mentioned to him the sticker price showed as "$24,000" so he responded saying "Oh yea, $24,000", even though his phone showed "$23,000". I then asked him if the $24,000 would include the TOTAL out the door price including fees, taxes, dmv charges, etc... and he responded saying "yes". As we later thank him for the information he provided us, he asks us what price we're aiming to pay, so I remind him closer to $21,000. He responds by saying he can't do $21,000 but try to get it closer to that price if we just go inside and give him 5 minutes. After a while, he comes back with paperwork showing us "2 discounts" he's able to provide us making the total price over $26,000. $2,000 to $3,000 more than what he quoted us outside and nowhere near $21,000. As I tell him if they can't get close to that price, then that's fine, we can go somewhere else which proceeded to make him snap and condescending. I later asked him for his name again and he refused to provide it then lies AGAIN and says his name is Jack. Luckily, my partner actually remembered his name, which is Omar. So if you're looking for terrible lackluster service, ask for him, otherwise, try another salesman or another dealership, probably another dealership.
