Well stocked location located right on the corner of Rosemead Blvd and Beverly Blvd. It was very easy to place my order online for the truck I wanted and review the rates. I have never rented a U-Haul before and was not experienced in driving a truck this size, but the transaction hassle free and truck was easy to drive. Make sure to return the truck at the required fuel tank capacity. Funny moment when we went in to sweep the inside of the truck before returning it and took a close look at the promotional poster. What type of U-Haul places is that only one person which is the supervisor manager are able to know how to do cash transactions with this type of business and this type of brand there should be more responsibility on that area more training. read more

I give this place 1 star . I picked up the 10ft U-haul with gas level below where the level it should be. They did not make sure the gas level at the level it should be before they handed it out to the customer. I used and drove the truck exactly 10 miles. One gallon of gas will give you 10 miles. So before I return the truck, I went and filled up one gallon of gas to the bar level when I picked up the truck. It was exactly one gallon. It was back to the exact level I picked up the truck. The manager there told me I was no. He said maybe people steal the truck and used it. That's could be the reason why it was lower than it should. What an absurd excuse. I had a very bad experience.Beware of this place. They don't go over the truck with you. Make sure everything is ok before you leave the place. I ended up filling up 3 gallon of gas and spent an extra $10 for the gas. I rented a Uhaul at a different location 2 months ago, they went over everything with me especially the gas level. read more

I see they only have a two-star rating so I don't expect much to be done. The worker at the counter told us that the guy who was supposed to attach our trailer was at the liquor store next door. 15 mins later he comes back and says he cannot attach it because he had a bandage on his wrist. The young woman behind the desk tried to do it but on our way back it disengaged. The trailer rammed into our car and made us fish tail into the curb. We waited an hour and a half for the U-haul roadside assistance to help us attach it correctly. He laughed at the attempt of the prior u-haul worker to attach it. We were getting up early the next morning to drive a thousand miles to Denver and there we were sitting on the side of the road needing to back the trailer up and get going. Was looking to install a hitch and bike rack and took off a week of work to get it installed. Had my day scheduled but was told the hitch installer would b3 out the day i was schedueld for and wouldn't be back till Mon, when my vacation was over. I wasn't getting paid for my vacation so this would of been an extreme inconvenience, considering I was going to pay over 300 for the hitch and bike rack. It was rescheduled for another location thankfully thr same day but this change should have never happened in the first place. I think the business should know when workers wont be available ahead of time and not make last minute changes that inconvenience the customer. read more

I was charged an extra $13.00 for gasoline even though they rig it so to rip you off; or there is something wrong with the gas gauge; I filled it up to the same level as when I picked it up 3 times; as every time that it got to that level or close to it, it would fall off and go back down. I felt like a yoyo running back and forth to the gas station cashier to keep adding money to it; because every time it reached and even passed the level it would just go back down and when it finally seemed that it stayed; it happen again when I dropped it off and had only driven from Whittier to Beverly on Rosemead; extremely disappointed. What was to advertise as only $19.99 turned out to be close to $400.00 I picked up truck at approximately 8:00 am and returned it 6:40 pm I wouldn't recommend this place they have the nicer newest trucks in the front and when you get there they give you the older not so gently used ones. William, you just topped off my propane tanks. You initially met me with a facial expression that can only be described as, annoyed. You stood upright, with your hands placed at your hips, and starred at me. It was as if I caused you an inconvenience because I unloaded three propane tanks from my vehicle. I felt so uncomfortable, that I was compelled to apologize to you for bringing you my propane tanks. I then greeted you and asked you how you were doing. You responded by saying, "you know..." Nothing more. You completed the top off and charged my card, I told you 'thank you,' and you walked away without a response. As a small business owner, I encourage U-haul to dig down to their roots and not forget that customer service is important. I'm not gonna lose sleep over this, but I do want to point out that I took time from my important schedule to write this review. A thing that I have never done before. William definitely needs a refresher on customer service and being courteous. Or simply, needs to be seperated from the company. But that's not my call. I do hope, that this review does reach people that can make a positive change, because William definitely needs to change his attitude with regards to how he treats the customers. read more

Great customer service and fast. Pick up process was easy. I did end up returning my truck rental after they had closed and the return app is a great idea but calculations when it comes to the gas section is waaay off so I just left the keys in the return box and left and dealt with it the next day without submitting it through the app. They have cameras outside so they have the ability to verify your drop off time. I just want to express my frustration using u-Haul for the first time. I made a reservation June 24th for a hitch installation on July 3rd. Before my schedule appointment I went to the store just to check if they had the hitch already they said no. On the day of my appointment I went back and the didn't have the hitch again, they said they were gonna call me back they never did. After that I keep checking with customer service and they said that the hitch was not shipped yet. Since I noticed this was going to take longer. I decided to purchased my own hitch CSA said that if I buy it on my own the store can install it for me. Went back to the store today asked if they could install it and one of the girls said NO right away because it has to be a hitch directly from Uhaul but then she asked her manager and told me to go back in 2 more days to do it. Before this customer service told me the manager of the store was going to be calling me to follow up but I never received a call. In concluding this process has taken over 14 days with crappy customer service . Thank God I didn't had any trips planned. The girls that help me today were not friendly or helpful at all. Manager was in store but never came up to me. On Sunday it will be my 4th time going to store and I hope is the last time. It didn't looked like they took my information for Sunday so hope everything goes well. Honestly am very very disappointed on how all this happened. read more

Robert the region manager was exceptionally helpful today finalizing arrangements for my UHaul UBox delivery to my home at the last minute. Earlier in the day I found out I needed a special adaptor that was not in stock. Without the special adapter I would not be able to tow the UBox with my vehicle, Ben from the East LA office dropped box off and even gave me a hand with some really heavy items down three flights of stairs. He even showed me how to properly secure the box before it traveled to the East Coast. I called a day prior to my reserved pickup to ensure my requested tools would be available, specifically, a furniture and appliance dolly. Once I arrived to pickup the truck and dollies, they had given away the last furniture and appliance dollies--none were available! I really needed these two dollies, and it really messed up my moving day because we did NOT have the reserved tools we really needed, and moving was very difficult because of this mishap. And to top it off, the clerk handling our check-in was unsympathetic, not offering any excuses, apologies, no sympathy to this plight whatsoever. I will never, ever go to another UHaul for moving services and equipment again, especially not the one in Pico Rivera, CA. The check-out process was nice, by the way, as all I had to do is give the clerk the key and walk away. But I will still never, ever go to another UHaul for any reason again. read more

Mike and Glen, you guys are FANTASTIC! I've done a lot of moving and rented at a lot of UHauls over the years but this was by far the best Uhaul experience yet. Mike was super friendly as soon as we pulled up and Glen was like a uhaul superhero when he was helping us inside. We got a great deal and the truck was really clean and worked great. We rented a pod and it was the perfect size and also really clean. The store was clean with sanitizer everywhere and the staff all wore masks. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Came in to get a 5x9 trailer that we reserved online. We were in and out in less than 7 minutes. They loaded it up, checked the lights and sent us on our way. The return process was even faster. This location is not even worth one star - but since I need to give one I did. First off, seriously - if you can - drive the extra distance to avoid this location altogether. The customer service is the worst and they overcharged me for my rental. When i called the 800 customer service for a reimbursement they directed me to the location to discuss with a manager on site. I left several messages and got no response, of course. It was a $30 overcharge on top of what I had already paid up front. The staff entered the incorrect mileage on the vehicle I rented. I literally drove it within a 8 mile radius around montebello for 2 hours (storage unit to home) and I ended up paying for an extra 20 miles on top of what I paid for in person. I guess the staff was too busy not paying attention to their tasks at hand - especially after a worker in a UHaul shirt walked into the back of the location with a case of Modelo in hand ‍. Don't bother coming here. Check out the other location on Washington or whichever is closer. read more

PROPANE GAS -They never have propane an hour before closing. I have been there on 3 different occasions and different days of the week AND they are always out. That's what the employers say. This past Thursday, August 20, 2020 I called to confirm around noon time and person said "we gave plenty of propane" come n down. I went after work 6:10pm (close 7:00pm), rang the attendance bell no one came so I went inside the store and two employees standing around, they said propane was out. Really... Corporate should really look into getting a large tank because they are losing business or maybe look at what employees are an hour before closing time. read more
