He got here at 10:45 and in 5 min gave me an excellent quote and said 2 guys would do the job in 2.5 hrs. We set a date 4 days later at 8 am. The two guys arrived at 7:50 am. We went to the tree and discussed what I wanted done. I offered to help but they said they had it handled and they would come get me when done. They came to my front door when done and took me around back to check it out and make sure I was pleased. They were polite and professional. They had all the proper tools needed to do the job. They hauled away all the trimmings. They not only raked the gravel but blew off that entire side of the yard. They also managed the entire job without damaging any of the 5 large prickly pear cactus, 2 birds of paradise, and 1 mini palm tree that are all within 1-5 feet from this tree. It's a family run business, his crews are covered by his insurance while on your property. One hour after they left, Billy V (owner) called to follow up to make sure I was satisfied and to answer any concerns I may have. He also thanked me for the business. STAY AWAY…read more Absolutely unacceptable work. What was supposed to be simple trimming turned into severe over-pruning that completely ruined my plants. Multiple mature, full, flowering shrubs were cut down into stiff, unnatural box-like shapes with most of the blooms removed. The entire look of my yard was drastically changed in a single visit. This is not professional landscaping - it's careless and shows a lack of basic pruning knowledge. When I contacted the owner about it, my concerns were dismissed and he hung up on me. Save yourself the frustration and go with a more competent company. Photos speak for themselves. ***Update***: The owner's response speaks for itself. Rather than addressing the legitimate concerns about the quality of work, he chose to attack me personally and publicly, calling me disgustingly rude and telling other businesses never to work with me. They wanted $1200 to do an initial cleanup in my yard and then $120 per service for bi-weekly maintenance. $1200 for any cleanup on a residential property is a flat out robbery, it's a joke. Not one landscape company had ever charged me that much money for a cleanup, not even remotely close. My advice would be to find another company that charges fair prices.

Redwood Landscaping, a business that is licensed bonded and insured, did a paver project for me in…read morethe fall of 2022. Redwood landscaping shorted me out of 400 square feet of pavers. The overall cost of the paver project was $14,000. I had staked out and tied orange yarn around the area to be pavered. I had to go to work before the paver personnel had completed the job. It was dark when I returned. It was not until I had assembled two pergolas on the pavers that I had realized I had been shorted 400 ft.² of pavers. I contacted Walter to let him know about his company's error. He was not able to rectify the paver situation until February 2023. I had not bolted down the pergolas. The pergolas were to be bolted down in the area of the 400 ft.² paver shortage. in January 2023 a gust of wind blew down the two pergolas. The pergolas could not be repaired. I suffered a loss of $3000 plus in pergola damage because Redwood landscaping shorted me of 400 ft.² of pavers. Our…read moreyard service, Francysco's Landscaping, just quit when the pavers that they were repairing from our tree that fell over a few weeks ago were not leveled and left with large gaps between pavers. We told him this was unacceptable and he quit on the spot. Pavers are a service that they advertise on their truck that they provide. Apparently that is to their satisfaction and not the paying customer. He charges an outrageous amount and then wonders why you expect quality. We also asked him to fix a valve that was constantly running and over watering our palo verde and he fixed the wrong one. We told him it was still running (which he should have verified before leaving), so he said he must have fixed the wrong valve. His solution was to come back and remove valves that I didn't want removed only to have to come back and undo that work, that was neither needed or approved. Then he has the audacity to try to charge me for that work! Stay away from anyone that charges a fortune by overestimating the cost to do a job and then does not stand behind their work.

It involved an overgrown border of Bermuda grass, weeds, and palm trees that love to sprout every year. Knowing I'd probably be disappointed in the results, I decided to give another company a try and hired Phillip. Though his services weren't cheap, he was a clear communicator and took the time to carefully walk through the job with me. I decided to move forward with the bid, and his team did an excellent job. Everything was neat, clean, and performed with high care and quality. This was far from your typical hack-and-slash operation. I texted asking for a quote and Alis' wife, Maria, responded within a minute I think. Set up a quote for the following day - Alis and Manny showed up right on time. I walked them through our 6-month-neglected yard which was really a mess thanks to 2 mesquite trees. Anyone who has a mesquite tree knows exactly what I'm talking about regarding mesquite mess - layers and layers of mess and things to pick up. I'm so happy with the result! Our yard has never looked this clean. So much mesquite tree mess was always left behind with other landscapers or they'd just blow the mess into corners and leave most of it. Not with Alis. They did a fantastic job and I'm now going to have him come regularly. If you've neglected your yard like we did, you'll have to pay someone to deal with all of that neglect. If someone quotes you a low bid for a neglected yard (can't tell ya how many times I've gone for that!), don't go that route. Instead, pay someone who's going to be excellent, and then hire them permanently.
