STAY AWAY. Absolutely unacceptable work. What was supposed to be simple trimming turned into severe over-pruning that completely ruined my plants. Multiple mature, full, flowering shrubs were cut down into stiff, unnatural box-like shapes with most of the blooms removed. The entire look of my yard was drastically changed in a single visit. This is not professional landscaping - it's careless and shows a lack of basic pruning knowledge. When I contacted the owner about it, my concerns were dismissed and he hung up on me. Save yourself the frustration and go with a more competent company. Photos speak for themselves. ***Update***: The owner's response speaks for itself. Rather than addressing the legitimate concerns about the quality of work, he chose to attack me personally and publicly, calling me disgustingly rude and telling other businesses never to work with me. The man wanted $300 to clean up weeds in a front yard. Insanely ludicrous amount to quote someone right of the bat when many of the other Landscape companies were anywhere from $95-$140 for a one time cleanup. I get wanting to get customers on a biweekly or monthly plan but price gouging just drives away customers instantly like it did me. If you live even as far south as Merrill Ranch, I highly recommend BV Lawn Care. I needed a 35 foot tall Palo Verde cut down to 5 foot. Sent a message in first and Billy replied in 5 min. It was 8:30 am and even though I sent a picture he said he would be over by 11 am to make sure it's priced correctly and he can determine much more accurately the number of guys to send. He got here at 10:45 and in 5 min gave me an excellent quote and said 2 guys would do the job in 2.5 hrs. We set a date 4 days later at 8 am. The two guys arrived at 7:50 am. We went to the tree and discussed what I wanted done. I offered to help but they said they had it handled and they would come get me when done. They came to my front door when done and took me around back to check it out and make sure I was pleased. They were polite and professional. They had all the proper tools needed to do the job. They hauled away all the trimmings. They not only raked the gravel but blew off that entire side of the yard. They also managed the entire job without damaging any of the 5 large prickly pear cactus, 2 birds of paradise, and 1 mini palm tree that are all within 1-5 feet from this tree. It's a family run business, his crews are covered by his insurance while on your property. One hour after they left, Billy V (owner) called to follow up to make sure I was satisfied and to answer any concerns I may have. He also thanked me for the business. Needed one tree trim- a beautiful Dallas Elm we had for decades. I know little about trimming trees and left a decent review without realizing just how much damage was done to the tree. I was told they would have a basket to do the work. They did not. Very shortly after they left, there was a minor windstorm that evening. I called the business and a few days later they removed a large branch that was knocked from the tree. I thought that would be the end of it but it was not. The next wind, in the same area that the guy removed the last large branch, caused the tree to further split after their last cut. Eventually the tree completely split in two with minimal assistance from the wind and damage to the roof. I thought these guys knew what they were doing. Not only were they the MOST EXPENSIVE bid in town, it also cost more than twice the original payment for a tree removal (obviously with another company). My whole neighborhood misses that tree and the damage that was most assuredly created by BV Lawn Care. read more

These guys did a great job. My front landscaping had not been addressed in over a year and everything had grown into itself and you couldn't tell where one piece started and another ended. Within a week they had two guys come out to get me taken care of. I needed two willow trees shaped and thinned before the monsoons get here this year. One tree is very large and one is fairly small. Billy came by to take a look at my trees and gave me a quote. On a Sunday... During the holidays! Top notch service. Had the work done two days later and it turned out excellent. I can't say enough about Billy and his team. We bought a home in April and contacted BV Lawn to plant grass and add a nice border, as well as fix our sprinklers. Needless to say over 6k later, they did not level my yard so when it rains the patio floods, my sprinklers were never fixed and the company they hired to do the border, left all their concrete mess that's still stuck to the ground. I would never recommend them to anyone. Highway robbery. All they cared about was the money. TERRIBLE! The second time they came to do yard work after about 15 minutes into being here their 2 young employees continued to weed wack rocks. This resulted in the entire glass door shattering. When approached in entire disbelief that they'd shattered and entire door and just continued to dig up nothing, I got an "oh sorry this happens like once a year" to top it off they were contacted for overgrown weeds in the middle of a lawn. Not in the rocks. They stated all we brought was a weed whacker, we will return tomorrow. So not only did the job they were contacted for not get done, they broke an entire window AND did not come back the next day as promised. When I reached out to the owner, he too was very nonchalant. They do not care. They'll come to your house, send kids to do the job, shatter thousands of dollars worth of property and leave. And won't pay to replace what they've broken either. I absolutely do not recommend them. I now have a boarded up door that they will not replace and has to come out of pocket. Use another company!!!!! read more

I used BV Lawncare based on yelp reviews. In the time I contracted with them they were never once able to show up in time (except the initial appt). Each visit was delayed for one reason or another. The primary reason I am posting this review it the text I received from Billy after letting his crew know not to come by. He indicated I was being rude to his crew and that they work very hard. I had never once been rude to his crew, other than letting them know not to come back. I think Billy forgot a component of being in the service industry, your customer. I found BV Lawn Care, after getting several quotes, in addition to one other 5-star rated business on Yelp. From the first time I spoke to Billy, I had a favorable impression of his cheerful responsiveness. I was actually pretty happy with the quote I received from a certified arborist, who showed up first to quote me on the trimming of a mesquite tree in my backyard. In addition to the mesquite tree trim, I also wanted some trees removed, along with having new ones planted. In addition to my primary residence, I also had a more substantive project readying a rental house in Queen Creek for sale. The backyard was in dire straits, and required immediate appeal by having new sod and grass installed, and the entire irrigation system repaired to sustain the new grass. Among the other quotes, the certified arborist wasn't able to handle the entirety of the project scopes I was looking to complete, aside from tree removal. Another 5-star rated Yelp business also didn't stand up to the test of reasonable pricing, and was not the most professional either. After receiving a late evening phone response about the pricing for the sod and grass installation (with audible screaming kids in the background), I was actually "advised" that many people nowadays "don't even want new grass placed in their backyard - you'd be surprised how many people are upset at having grass when they don't want it". He suggested I consider putting the house on the market as-is. While there might have been merit in this statement, the lack of professionalism and attitude of 'Meh, I don't need your business' rather than 'What can I do to meet your needs?' was one that I did not care as much for. This is where Billy stepped in. From the moment I met Billy, he was punctual, professional, upbeat, super friendly and enthusiastic about wanting to earn my business, by proving himself through his work to make this the best possible experience for me. As the owner of the business, he recognized the need to prove himself first to gain my trust as a first time customer. He cut me a truly awesome deal that encompassed both my home and rental house in Queen Creek. I was hesitant, but it was difficult to turn down what he had offered me. And boy am I glad I shook hands with him and decided to give him a shot! For me and my husband, it's safe to say that I will always be going back to BV Lawn Care for all our lawncare needs! Billy and his crew did an AMAZING job with both projects. In particular, the house in Queen Creek that we put on sale. The transformation of that house was nothing short of INCREDIBLE. Even my real estate agent remarked that the landscaping was what really sold the house, and asked for Billy's information, wanting to use him for his own projects! Billy and his crew worked quickly to make sure we didn't waste any time readying the house to be placed on the market. Billy really put his best foot forward with us by working around the clock so we could have the house on the market by the weekend. And yes, Billy stays plenty busy already with plenty of other jobs, but he still put our needs first and delivered top-notch work! The end result? We had a bid for a sale contract on that house that VERY SAME WEEKEND (in just 2 days!), and I honestly attribute it to the clean-up job he did. I will let the pictures tell its own story. He truly went above and beyond, communicating with me and my husband every step of the way, so that we understood exactly what was going on, what needed to be done. And he really took care of us with our timeline, at a very reasonable cost! There are many other little bits of fixes that he did at no charge to help earn our trust in him as a first time customer. I'll say: I'm SOLD! :) I've also posted some pictures of the job he did at our home, to showcase the mesquite tree trim, and palm tree stripping that he did. It really opened up our backyard, and made it feel brighter and bigger. We could not be more happy with his work! He went above and beyond and helped us procure some river rock to place over the planters in our pool too, as the dirt from the planters kept blowing into the pool, that caused the filters to clog up incessantly. Just had a one time yard cleanup done and our home looks amazing. We had trees and shrubbery trimmed and shaped and they look perfect. The workers were very friendly when I greeted them. The best part is that I was able to do the whole transaction via text and email. The whole reason I needed the help with the yard was due to how busy I am with work and Billy and crew made the whole transaction seamless.
