I recently had my windshield replaced by S&H auto glass, I thought everything went fine, but I notice a little rubber flap sticking out of the window trim interfering with my wiper blades. I figured no problem I'll take it to S&H they can fix it in like 5 minutes. Instead of fixing the problem they argued with me and told me that was the way it was supposed to be. While I did my errands, I stopped and checked every Tiguan I saw, and guess what, in every single one that rubber flap was inserted into the channel on the side of the windshield. I watched a video on YouTube, it was so easy to fix, once the rubber flap was where it was suppose to be, the trim snapped all the way in. It's weird in the time they spent arguing with me they could have fix it two times over. They definitely need to work on service after the sale. read more

My husband took our Jeep in for a windshield replacement today because the window had suffered damages (cracks, etc). While it took a little time to get an appointment on the books (it wasn't a super urgent need), the actual time to fix the windshield was super quick (In by 800a and ready with a phone call by 1100a)! The people are polite and helpful, with a welcoming and helpful demeanor. My husband had other things to take care of and I was working so they were kind enough to give him a ride back home as well. All the usual aside, my husband is a stickler for details, especially automotive details... and he is over the moon with the quality of the replacement work and the care taken in the replacement. While at the end of a long weekend getaway with my SO, one of the windows on his car was smashed while parked in a local hotel parking lot along with three other cars' windows. The hotel manager gave us the telephone number for S&H Auto Glass and said the owner was happy to vacuum the glass and seal the window for our ride home. We didn't get the owners name, but it appears here that her name is Melissa. She was quick and efficient in cleaning up our unfortunate mess. I will add that she was kind and hospitable. My whole back windshield was busted out so we called and they didn't have the glass needed, however the lady was very professional and nice. She suggested a guy who might potentially have the glass so we could come back and have it installed. A hefty chip I got while driving on the lovely 299 turned into a large crack that eventually spread across my windshield. (Thanks, Caltrans!) I called S&H on a Monday for a replacement and was scheduled an appointment for Thursday. Melissa was extremely professional and friendly and told me it'd be done in two and a half hours. They were right on time and I returned to my truck looking so fresh and so clean, clean, I could barely believe it. They even have a very sweet shop cat (I'm a sucker for cats) you can hangout with while you wait. Or you can walk a short distance to beautiful downtown Eureka like I did and get yelled at by transient folks-- the choice is yours! Have had to bring two cars here a total of three times now due to them being broken into. Due to the large amounts of break ins we get in Humboldt most places are a month to months wait time but this is the only place that can usually get me in the fastest. Not sure if pricing is better than other places in town but their customer service is too good for me to ever check other's prices. read more

After my car was vandalized in eureka I realized there weren't a whole lot of options to choose from after searching the web. I called S $ H and another glass company in the area to get a quote of course the other place was higher by about twenty dollars. So I chose S & H, she had to have the window ordered and so I thought it would take a bit longer into the week. She called me the very next morning and was ready to have me come in ASAP. I was so thrilled, plus she worked with my schedule when I forgot I had a meeting. As I pulled up the lady at the window explained all the documents I had to sign and took the keys to pull around the back. It wasn't but an hour after they were done. During a recent road trip, our car was broken into in lovely downtown Eureka. One of the side windows was completely smashed. We called S&H and though their schedule was packed, they made time for us and did an excellent job putting some temporary plastic over our missing window (we did a permanent fix once we got home from the trip). They also vacuumed out all the broken glass from our car. We're so grateful they were close by in our time of need. Everyone we encountered was friendly and super helpful. Slow on every level from estimate to work to finish. Misinformation people of the work and work is terrible. Had a classic collector car windows replaced and they wanted to double the price of the glass from the cost from the same supplier I was able to get it from. No parts allowed to be brought in. Then they wanted a huge price tag to install well above normal! They said we mark it up and they want to make a profit. Trust they got plenty. Got my car back. Inspected it glass still in interior (excuse not a detail shop) haha. Windows not fully attached to car with wrong seals. Even got chemicals on my new paint job and damaged paint. Not sure what was even good with the job it was all bad. Go somewhere else The person that responded to this review from s and h auto glass named melissa is full of it. It's 100% the location the issue occurred. This place is that ridiculous it is self evident! She even claims there must be a mix up of businesses. read more

I got my window changed on my Dodge Avenger. Should have told them to stop working on my car when I noticed the owner or main employee who was changing the window struggling really bad. He didn't even know what he was doing. My car door no longer locks, unlocks plus makes a terrible noise every time I get on the freeway cause of this shit window replacement job. I told them about the situation and they sent me to an electrician next door to them and they estimated the cost to fix this was $1200. I just moved to socal and I got it fixed for $40. Also they said they couldn't do anything about my car door after I got that estimate, didn't even offer to fix it. Also they told me they Jerry Rigged it? I don't think that's too profesional but atleast I got a window on my door. My opinion, go somewhere else. read more

While driving up to Eureka, from the San Francisco Bay Area, my truck windshield was hit by a rock. The crack started to spread. To avoid the crack from spreading, I wanted to get the windshield fixed. S & H Glass was recommended by the mechanic my daughter uses in Eureka. S & H gave me an appointment the next day to have my windshield fixed. The repair took less time than I was quoted and the repair was excellent. Unfortunately, while my truck was being moved out of the repair area, one of the employees broke my drivers side mirror. I talked to Marianne. She stated S& H would do what ever was necessary to fix the mirror. When the mirror was not available in Eureka, I ordered the mirror from my dealer in the Bay Area. After returning home and having the dealer install my mirror, I sent S & H the receipt. I received a check a few days later. I was very impressed with the professionalism and speed in which S & H took care of the mirror when they were dealing with a customer who was not local or had ever been to their business before. I had a chip in my windshield that was repaired (patched with resin) by S&H Auto Glass. I was amazed by the quality of the repair. It's hardly visible. There was an approx 1/2 inch crack to the side of the chip which is completely gone now. The center of the chip is visible, but only if you know where to look. The woman at the front desk was helpful and easy to work with. The entire process took slightly less than one hour. read more
