Unfortunately, both porches started sinking shortly after construction. I expected the porches to be stable for decades of time. Instead, over the first 5 years the front porch sank by at least 2.5 inches, endangering the roof over the porch. Gooden-Harrison refused to correct the problem I had to use TerraFirma to raise the front porch to its proper position with their Polylevel method. During this process I found out that Gooden-Harrison neglected to provide any foundation under the porch. They refused to compensate me for the fixing of the problem even after I pointed out this defect. I cannot recommend a firm that does not stand behind its work.

There were some speedbumps here and there and some timelines proved hard to keep but when it came down to it, they were very communicative and honest. Something that stuck out to me was when their sub-contractors came in at a lower cost (excavation and electrical) than expected on certain parts of the project they let me know about it rather than just pocket the difference like you see with a lot of other contractors out there. While on the topic of money they also called out items that I could do myself to help save some additional money. Ryan who acted as our primary contact and project manager was always cool, calm and collected and always knew what the next step was when dealing with the county and other related entities. Gooden and Harrisons Crew was always personable and easy to talk to. JR especially acted with great care when he was on site and always made sure to talk to my Wife and I if we were onsite to make sure we were all on the same page about what we wanted to see in regard to how stuff was finished and executed. There were constant "change orders" for things like an additional $2,600 for touch up paint on trim and other things that should have simply been part of the contract. Our $73,600 contract ballooned into a $93,200 contract with no significant changes made to the work.  It took them 7 months to remodel a bathroom, paint, install laminate floors and they still weren't done when we finally asked them to just not come back due to workers never showing up. They have no secretary and try to manage everything through an app that does not work. Payments through the app didn't go through so we had to just send a check that the company could not or would not keep track of. There is no way to directly contact Ryon. All you can do is text and he will say "I'll look into that" and then you will never hear back. He literally said "I will get back to you ASAP" over a month ago now. They left a ton of trash from the remodel on the side of our house. We had to clean up after them at the end of the job. And then there was just weird stuff... like they painted the walls in semi gloss, they would just leave doors open--not just unlocked--open when they left for the night. Our plumbing started leaking and pooling in the basement near the shutoff valve they were using and they never told us.... Altogether it was just a legendary bad experience.

Called again a couple of days later. Still no response. Tried a third time. No call back. I drove out to the showroom a few days later and found it closed and empty. DREYCO had moved out. Managed to track down Tanners mother to find he had moved into a warehouse complex off W.11th. When I arrived the place looked abandoned and the only sign that anything was going on as a small sign on one of the windows. I dug up some other phone numbers and still no call back. I Finally managed make contact with Ceasar to inform him that I had hired another contractor to do the job and wanted a refund. Ceasar agreed and said he would have refund check in the mail on a few days. It arrived a few days later, but failed to cash. Insuffient funds. That was the end of Februay. I'm still holding a bad check on 3/25/2024. I tried to make contact today but no one arrived at the new warehouse location. Next step. . . . Maybe the DA's office to file a formal complaint. I hope I don't have to do that.

We sat down and he drafted a kitchen cabinet plan for my remodel and quoted a price. The price was almost the same as Home Depot and Lowes off the shelves cabinets. After picking out the cabinets, we picked out the counter top, they have a huge selection of quartz and granite. Their yard had odd shapes and sizes for pretty much any build you want. The project took about two weeks to finish, from planning to installation. We couldn't be happier with their work and pricing.
