I asked via email for total amount of fees for their service and received cost of making duplicate key and fob only, I have that one quote saved in my email. When the serviceman arrived I again asked for the total price. The amount quoted me did not include $69.00 service fee and did not include their 6% charge card fee (double the 3% fee most other vendors add). I was asked to pay without seeing an invoice in writing, received said invoice via email after my account was charged. I sent an email request for at least the service charge to be refunded and I would eat the double charge card fee. No response whatsoever. I did have a better price on the key but not the fob. Had I known about the hidden charges, I would definitely gone elsewhere.

It gave me time to walk down to the grocery before he arrived. When he arrived, he almost magically got the door open using my existing key. But what truly set him apart was what happened next. Instead of just unlocking the door and leaving, he took the time to figure out why it had jammed in the first place. The opening where the lock connected was slightly too small, causing it to stick. At no additional charge, he carefully filed it down to prevent the issue from happening again in the future. That level of care and professionalism is rare. Got into my lock in about 10 minutes and didn't charge me because I had so much trouble finding them, having gone to the old location fist. That is great customer service! I needed my house locks changed. I called asking if they had availability the next day, had to wait until the following morning, and was promptly greeted by Ethan who rekeyed the front and back doors, and then ordered the deadbolt replacement. He provided all keys ordered and said he would invoice once he'd finished installing the deadbolt. All in, three locks and 6 keys was just around $200. I called Pinhime Locksmith after reading their reviews on Yelp! I confirmed with them how much each…read morerekey would cost ($25-$32/lock) and no trip fees. I was told the only charge I would have would be the locks. So I was thinking no more than $64 at the most. When the locksmith showed up, he was from Kwik-Pick Locksmith (Not Pinhime). They charged us the same about per lock but Kwik Pick had a minimum of $150 (which was NEVER mentioned to us). The Kwik-Pick locksmith did inform me that Pinhime didn't have a minimum but that they contracted the appt out to Kiwk-Pick. So instead of paying $64 for 2 locks which is what I had planned for, I had to pay $150 for 2 locks. Pinhime never informed me they would "contract" out my appt and that there would be additional charges by another company. So very disappointed in that communication and our experience with them. As for Kwik-Pick, they came and did a great job. Aside from having to pay over double what I planned, which was not Kiwk-Pick fault bc I never had any communication with them, they were kind, friendly and apologized multiple time for the miscommunication, which again, not their fault.
