See, a bunch of days prior it started yelling at me every time I had to slow down, probably because Priuses love to go fast, and maybe because it was going to die and take me and my family along for the ride. Who's to say? Anyway, for whatever reason, I decided to live, and went over to Duquette's to see if they had any time during the afternoon that week, and do you know what? They had time the very next afternoon! And then do you know what else? The owner called me back and was like, "we can do it now if you're cool leaving your car until 7 or 8." I was like, "Wow! Thats amazing!" And it was amazing, and they fixed my car for the reasonable price they quoted, and they had a cool shop dog, and they had fun music, and they were all super friendly! Even if your car isn't in need of repair, you should go just to see a cool dog, and if you get some top notch work done on your car, well that's even better! Fifteen stars.

Duquette's service station was the closest to St. Vincent's so I just drove there carefully and showed up without an appointment throwing myself on his mercy. Eli was the only mechanic on duty that day, and he had just become owner of the shop a month ago when the former owner retired. He immediately understood, called to find out the cost of parts, gave me a very fair price and had the brakes done within 90 minutes! The entire experience was fabulous: the waiting room has cushy chairs, the place is very clean and inviting, Eli offered bottles of water and snacks and was both a skilled mechanic and an amazing host. I will definitely be going back there!
