Let's just say that "skin by hetal" really knows how to promote herself via social media . I work at a spa, and this is where I regularly get facials , however dermaplanning is not offered here yet . The main reason why I started following skin by hetal was because she offers dermaplanning, which is something that I've been wanting . Her client boomerangs and reviews are what made me want to come to her regardless of price and distance , keep in mind I live in Orange County and she's located in corona . After a couple months of following her, I finally scheduled my appointment . SCHEDULING: Booking an appointment was very easy and I like the system she uses . I chose the custom facial with dermaplanning add on . I booked for February 11. DAY OF : It was about a 45 min drive . I was greeted and walked into her little facial room . She asked me a couple questions and then I signed her intake form . She also asks me what services I was here for .... I would assume she would know since she is the one that manages her booking system . One thing that really surprised me was the fact that she never asked about my current skin care regimen or any products I was using , If any. THE SERVICE: She starts by examine my skin with gloves and briefly cleanses my face and then starts dermaplanning . After that she adds a jelly mask that I added the day of , and then goes in with a suction machine . Apparently the auction machine is the "hydro facial" To conclude she applies SPF, toner and lip balm . And then the facial is over . The whole service took about 30 minutes at the most and I was shocked !!! I think she saw it in my face because she then asks "is is not what you were expecting ?" I kindly smiled and didn't say anything . She then sends me my bill , she didn't give me any after care instructions or recommend any products for my skin .. nothing !!! She simply said she would follow up with me the next morning on how I should cleanse my face . The bill was not what I expected either , I was charged for a hydro facial instead of a custom facial. After the service I experienced I'm sure the custom facial would have been much more worth it and cheaper! TOTAL: $135 Overall I don't think the facial I received was worth paying what I paid . I definitely believe I could have gotten my money's worth elsewhere and could have saved myself some time as well . Not to mention , my skin had some sort of reaction later that day and i felt a burning sensation on my cheeks . One thing I did like was the lip balm she applied to me after the service . I decided To text her and ask her about the lip balm she used on me and her reply was not what I expected either ! This place is a hidden gem! Literally, you would never know it was there hidden in a corner building. I'm not complaining because I want Stacey all to myself. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with great calming relaxing music and a huge warm smile by Stacey. I would love to take back home with me their interior decorator, it's so beautiful and peaceful it goes well with the music and services. I was so nervous on my first visit because I did not know if the chemical peel was going to burn or hurt, she explained the whole process before starting to put me at ease. She would let me know exactly what she was doing right before doing it, it was the best peel I've ever had. No burning no uncomfortable tingling. That was a year ago, I was hooked with the results and can't and won't stop coming for more procedures. I also go in for microneedling and soon I'm having my first hydra facial. So I came across Hetal on instagram and was intrigued by the results her clients were getting so I made my first appointment back in August 2019. I had been going back and forth for about 3 years with what seemed like hormonal/stress/diet related acne. Let me tell you... Hetal got my skin back to a healthy texture and color. I was so dull and discolored from countless product use, unknowingly over exfoliating, and if i wasn't inflamed with acne my hyperpigmentation was really bad. I appreciated that Hetal acknowledged that being a woman of color that melanin means more hyperpigmentation and I felt comfortable immediately knowing she would take that into account with whatever she did going forward. So I started receiving peels once a month starting in December 2019 until March 2020. Amazing results! Breakouts went down, hyperpigmentation was starting to break up, and i was brighter and healthier all around. Due to covid-19 everything came to a stop but then Hetal introduced Glymed products into my skin care routine. I started with a few trial sizes for at home facial kits. Although Glymed is a bit on the pricey side it WORKS. I didnt see Hetal for 2 months and my investment in Glymed kept my skin healthy and even improved it. My breakouts were minimal and hyperpigmentation faded so much. Like Hetal says her services are only 20% of results and that 80% is your upkeep. Not only did Hetal bring my skin back to life she educated me on how to maintain it at home. I thought I knew everything skin but I was wrong. And it is a lot of effort with my skin type: changing eating habits and my pillow cases every 2 days as well as washing my hair every other day. And NO TOUCHING OR PICKING. Which i still struggle with and get called out for lol but its necessary for proper healing! And i still breakout around that time of the month but they are manageable now. Trust the process and this lady right here. This is not a quick fix. Everyones skin is different. She will give you the tools, you just have to put them to use.
