We didn't have reservations and even though everything was fully booked, the staff was able to accommodate us and still gave us a generous 1.5 hours for our dinner. Not everyone could speak English, but most people knew German which was very helpful. PS: The town is also really nice and was fun to walk around.

My gluten free companion had salmon with (oddly) sauerkraut. The salmon was excellent and the sauerkraut was mild enough for a sensitive stomach. They started us with some cheese smoothie which was awesome and like nothing I ever had before!!! My Cordon Blue was really good with loads of cheese and chicken. Potatoes were even good which I mostly avoid. But my wifes dish was like a starter. For 15 euro not worth it and nothing like the photo they showed. Couple pieces of ham and bacon and wife was pissed. Service was very slow. never offered bread to us and always chasing her.

They don't usually hire others since France has some labor laws which prohibit firing people so they do all the work themselves....hmm, well there were way too many people in this place for the waitress to begin with. It took a long time for her to give us the menus, and an even longer time to get wiated on and get our food. We managed to order and noticed that there was some bread behind us on the counter so my husband asked the waitress if he should get this himself. She was very nice and said that she would get it for us. We waited and waited, about 20 minutes, then finally my husband went over to the bread bar to cut some himself and the waitress saw him and stopped him and said she would bring it. Nice correct? But when you bring the bread over to the table and ask out loud to the customer "when was the last time you ate, you are so hungry for the bread" Embarassing. Needless to say, we werent thrilled but were in this place for way too long at this point. My children ordered steaks, which I never recommend in France and they ended up giving a bunch of it to the dog. I ordered a flamchuken which came out cold and barely had any cheese on it at all. My husband enjoyed his veal but it was a so so place with so so food.,,and to get insulted as well. We wont go back for sure.
