Anastasia is not JUST a photographer, she is a creative genius while still being very professional. My husband doesn't love getting photos taken, but with Anastasia, our anniversary photoshoot was more than just a photoshoot, it was a fun adventure that added a very special touch to our 15 year anniversary, my husband didn't even ask once if we were almost done, which seemed to be the norm judging from past experiences. I looked at her IG, FB, and website to view her photos. Our baby (we are 1st time parents) came a month early and Anastasia was graciously able to accommodate us at last minute notice. She also was thoughtful enough to ask me prior to the photo shoot what kind of photos and colors we liked/preferred so she could set up. We went to her studio at her home and it was super cool and professional. She had TONS of cute backdrops, props, and outfits. Anastasia is very patient. She allows time to nurse/feed and change diapers. Not to mention, she's like a baby whisperer. Our baby didn't really fuss at all. She also made sure to wash her hands prior to handling baby. Longer Answer: I needed a "headshot." Truth be told, I would prefer having a tooth pulled than having my picture taken, especially when it is just me. Thank you, no. I am 62, and I have finally come to the conclusion that I am never going to get taller or younger...I know, right? But I digress... After receiving more than a few proposals for my YELP request (which is one of the things I love about YELP) and filtering through them, I found I kept coming back to Courtney's website. After speaking with her on the phone, I knew she was who I wanted to work with. I mean, really, I can only take so many bad selfies, even with all those festive "apps" before I realized I wanted find a real photographer. Courtney is more than just a real photographer; she is an artist. When I showed up for the photo shoot, I was as nervous as can be. It's silly but true. Put me in front of a crowd of people to speak, a high school full of students, even when faced with that service writer about to tell me "Lola" (my car) needs "a bit more work than we were hoping...". That I can handle. No fear! But point a camera at me? Yeah...no. But I digress...again... Then I met Courtney Holcomb. Courtney has this amazingly calm manner and this kind smile that would help anyone relax. She listens. She asks questions that actually apply to the photo shoot. She wasn't trying to schmooze me. She was trying to make sure I got what I wanted. She explained exactly what she wanted me to do and how she wanted me to do it. She is patient. She smiles. She gets me. How cool is that? And I loved the studio! Come to find out, Courtney has access to several amazing studios, from basically the US/Canada border to the Seattle/Bellevue a rea. This makes it so much more convenient for me, and it was perfect! It was in this old building in Everett with these incredibly tall ceilings, tons of natural light (even that day when it was on the verge of raining), these gorgeous billowy curtains, and lots of furniture possibilities. It has a great dressing room area, too. In fact, the whole place is spacious enough for a herd of family without feeling cramped. Perfect. Now, let's dash to the INCREDIBLE proofs! First, I received them incredibly quickly, and the platform she uses to review them is very easy to use. The pictures themselves? WOW. They are wonderful. They made me feel beautiful. As a light-skinned Pacific Islander, I often felt uncomfortable with my appearance... until I moved to the continental us for college. I was running 40 minutes late to my 11 am courthouse ceremony in the city, it was pouring, and we made a mistake of forgetting our marriage license which caused the delay. Mistakes happen. Brittany was very frustrated when I made her aware of this and turned around to go home. I paid $1200 for one hour of shooting and obviously didn't get anything. I told her I would be writing a review about this experience and she took to Facebook to encourage her followers to bully me. ON MY WEDDING DAY! I received multiple threatening messages, fake reviews were left on my works google reviews; to the point where the police are involved now. I am in disbelief at the behavior and how this was handled. It's not even about the photos anymore. Yes I'm sad I don't have them but I am more upset that a grown woman could treat another woman like this on her wedding day.

Yes the weather is unpredictable and there was some confusion on what time we need to be there, but, we were 100 % going to be there. About 30 minutes after leaving the house and being on time I had realized that I left our license. We immediately turned are and this is the time we reached out to Brittani about the situation. We obviously asked for a compromise and we were only offered a mini shoot. We aren't entitled people, but are people who work super hard for what we have just like anybody else. Brittani didn't even try to meet us to at the courthouse in Houston but turned around and went to where ever as soon as we said we are going to be 40 late. We scheduled 1130 to 1230 a month before our day but two days before we did push it forward 30 min. From 11 to 12 and she did ask me wife if we were still on because it was supposed to rain. With that I believe she still could have been there waiting for us with in hour scheduled time frame and she also had even an extra 30 that we would of happily paid for just to have our day be remembered by with some beautiful photos. Instead we got scammed and my wife has gotten harassed and bullied at her job by some weird fan following all on our wedding day. I don't know anyone who would be cool with this on their wedding day
