There is nothing in me that could ever make me recommend this photographer to anyone! And if you ever been late to anything, reconsider! I was running 40 minutes late to my 11 am courthouse ceremony in the city, it was pouring, and we made a mistake of forgetting our marriage license which caused the delay. Mistakes happen. Brittany was very frustrated when I made her aware of this and turned around to go home. I paid $1200 for one hour of shooting and obviously didn't get anything. I told her I would be writing a review about this experience and she took to Facebook to encourage her followers to bully me. ON MY WEDDING DAY! I received multiple threatening messages, fake reviews were left on my works google reviews; to the point where the police are involved now. I am in disbelief at the behavior and how this was handled. It's not even about the photos anymore. Yes I'm sad I don't have them but I am more upset that a grown woman could treat another woman like this on her wedding day. read more

It's honestly the worst feeling in the world seeing my wife so upset on the one day that is supposed to be all about her. She worked so hard to make sure everything would be perfect. Yes the weather is unpredictable and there was some confusion on what time we need to be there, but, we were 100 % going to be there. About 30 minutes after leaving the house and being on time I had realized that I left our license. We immediately turned are and this is the time we reached out to Brittani about the situation. We obviously asked for a compromise and we were only offered a mini shoot. We aren't entitled people, but are people who work super hard for what we have just like anybody else. Brittani didn't even try to meet us to at the courthouse in Houston but turned around and went to where ever as soon as we said we are going to be 40 late. We scheduled 1130 to 1230 a month before our day but two days before we did push it forward 30 min. From 11 to 12 and she did ask me wife if we were still on because it was supposed to rain. With that I believe she still could have been there waiting for us with in hour scheduled time frame and she also had even an extra 30 that we would of happily paid for just to have our day be remembered by with some beautiful photos. Instead we got scammed and my wife has gotten harassed and bullied at her job by some weird fan following all on our wedding day. Brittani was nothing short of phenomenal! I found her via Instagram, and instantly fell in love with her talent and the chemistry she was able to make come to life through photos. I booked a boudoir session along with a couples session for my husband and I. The boudoir session made me nervous being in front of a camera and stranger so vulnerable, but she made me feel so comfortable and confident!! I wish I would have done more because it was so much fun, and the images were flawless. Knowing the location she shot at near her home was gorgeous (Deception Pass), I decided to book the couples session and drive the three hours from my home to hers, and it was so worth it. The images came out so, so beautiful. She made us laugh, posed us naturally, and captured images that I will treasure forever. I've used other photographers, and they either send me all pic of mini shoots or send me unedited pics for my family to choose our favorites. Unfortunately they ones she chose were not our favorites and asked if she could replace some I didn't like with 2 I was expecting to get and she said no. read more

Brittani is so talented! She did my son's 2nd birthday mini session and the photos were pure magic capturing his inquisitive personality and playful nature. She is easy to work with even with the challenges of wrangling a super active little one who didn't want to look at the camera. She also came out and took photos at his actual birthday party and I am so grateful to have so many special moments from that day. Six months later and I'm finally getting it together to write the wonderful review that our amazing photographer deserves! (Sorry this took so long!) Brittany Taylor did such a wonderful job on our wedding & engagement photos, we absolutely loved her! After spending countless hours on Instagram trying to find a venue I loved, I continued to find certain photos that I really liked, I realize that they came from Brittany Taylor! These were all different venues in all different brides, I immediately loved her style! After booking our venue, I was thrilled to realize that she was on their preferred vendor list! I called her right away to check on her availability, I also wanted to discuss some of my concerns for the day of the wedding. I come from a big family full of bossy, loud, opinionated woman. I was worried that we might have trouble getting the photos I wanted with so many opinions. Brittany was able to assure me that this would not be a problem for her, with six children at home and a business of her own to run, she knew how to keep things orderly! Sounded like a perfect fit for us, we booked her right away. We were able to do an engagement shoot prior to our wedding date to get to know her better & also for us to experience what professional photography would look like for us. My husband (fiancé at the time) & I were both nervous for these photos, we don't know how to pose & certainly don't know how to stare longingly into each other's eyes (for minutes at a time) without bursting out in laughter. Brittany was able to take our personalities & make everything feel natural! We feel that we have the most perfect wedding photos, she truly captured all of the love & excitement we had that very special day! I found Brittani on Instagram, her photos were great and she was decently priced. However, I would have never booked with her if I would have known her customer service was as bad as it is. I've worked in hotels my entire life therefore customer service is greatly important to me. I paid Brittani $250 for photos and $50 for a travel fee. The day of the appointment she pushed back the appointment by 30 minutes. I thought to myself "Well that's annoying" considering we strategically picked a time based on Seattle weather forecast. Timing the rain is everything, especially when you are entitled to three outfit changes. When she was close to arriving she texted me asking if it was raining (at this point it was, however when we arrived on time it was not) I informed her it was and she said she was going to stop and get an umbrella. Her pit stop took an hour-on top of the 30 minutes she was already running behind. When she arrived she did not say "hello" "sorry" or "nice to meet you" instead in a panic she said "Ya'll were going to shoot one outfit here and reschedule for another time". I thought great! We did our one outfit and left. She sent us pictures that were lovely about a week later. We had scheduled our next shoot - which she requested to move again by 30 minutes, she also requested I drive to her which was two hours away from my house. I was willing to do so because these photos were a 5 year anniversary present. The day prior I texted her to confirm we were still on, she wrote back "yes!" then I receive "there is an 80% chance of rain tomorrow; I forgot to check the weather." At this point I thought, "It's been two months since we took our original photos, we have guests coming into town the next three weekends and she is so difficult to schedule with due to her lack of response. I will just see if I get can a 50% refund and we can call it a day". When I texted Brittani she informed me that she "did me a favor by shooting my boyfriend and I because she thought we were a cute couple. She stood in the rain to take our pictures and she does not work for free but we can reschedule again". Last time I checked my Venmo she received a $300 payment from me, no favors were done. In her contract you are entitled to 3 outfit changes. She states "I sent you the number of pictures that you are entitled to in your contract; therefore I 100% fulfilled my job." SO, because she sent me every photo she took that day I was no longer entitled to my other two outfits, even though she was 1.5 hours late. Therefore, I informed her she has only done 33.33% of her job. I will not be getting a $150 refund from Brittani but that is okay. Luckily for her I value my time more than the $150 she needs. Driving 2 hours with the chance of her being late again (which is likely), to stand in the rain and feel disrespected by her is not worth my time. Brittani could have easily humbled herself as a future business owner; considering what she is running right now is not a business and realized she has not fulfilled her commitments. She is an amateur, professionals handle things professionally. I recommend you have your photos taken by someone who sees your money as a BUSINESS TRANSACTION and not you sending her money for a FAVOR. read more

(I understand this could happen to any photographer, but it's all about how you handle the situation & make it right) I'm not one to bash someone or post things like this on social media but BRIDES or future clients please please please BEWARE of who you hire for your wedding day photographer! My husband and I hired Brittani Taylor Photography (Brittani Brister) and we were so very excited. We loved her work and just over all thought she was great! But that soon changed when we arrived home from our honey moon and got a Facebook message and a call that forever changed that! She lost all our wedding pictures and she was sorry and would refund us and give us free shoots. At first I tried to be understanding and calm but her stories started not to add up. The point is you just took all our precious memories away from us, something we can never get back of us and our family. We were and still are devastated and heart broken. But it gets worse... Her story changed 3 times on what actually happened to our images... first it was her computer crashed. Then it was Light room. Then when I asked about the SD card thinking they'd still be on there till my photos were uploaded, backed up, edited and signed, sealed and delivered. She had already erased her memory card. But it gets worse than that... after sleepless night, and more heartache I started researching how to recover these files, there's got to be a way! SD card recovery, hard drive recovery, anything I could think of. Started talking to IT people, Geek squad, other photographers and they're in shock as to what her story is about what happened to them. I constantly was messaging Brittani all my ideas how to recover these (thinking she should already know this and or have already tried this because she's a photographer) but no she literally would go hours on into the next day with no replies and when she did reply it was always some excuse, even though she told me she had already tried EVERYTHING! But when I asked about the SD card recovery as a last resort she was like no I haven't tried it but I can if you want to pay for it, like UMMM excuse me?! Ok! So I sent her money via Venmo for the SD card recovery program that I FOUND myself, set up everything, emailed her a link to follow with step by step directions, not to mention it took her forever to start the recovery process because she had more excuses and set backs. Then I waited and waited sick to my stomach hoping to hear from her. Woke up.... still nothing. Texted her a few times... nothing. But she was actively on FB the whole time she was blowing me off. Then I finally got a text that she was fixing to start it which I thought she already had, but that was just another lie, so I asked her for a picture of it on her computer just for proof that she was actually trying, she sent it to me. It told me the time lapse was 14 mins meaning she had JUST started it when she told me she started it already but whatever at this point I was just happy she was finally actually trying! Long story short it recovered 615 images and not one were mine she said. I took her word for it & went on with my day. But it gets even worse! She blocked me! & then posted on her page playing victim to the whole situation. I could go on and on. So I do not recommend her!!!!!! read more

I found Brittani through a bride group on Facebook! I just fell in love with her photos! Her editing style and the photos themselves were beautiful! I have to say I am soo happy I booked her! I took my bridals with her and she was soo accommodating with me (I live in corpus and it rained in houston). I was a little disappointed I didn't get to shoot in the park but that's houston for ya but we found a beautiful shopping center to shoot at(beautiful brick, waterfall and lots of greenery)! That night I got a preview and I believe in a week I got my photos!! My wedding day came and she flew in and got right to work! I really didn't have much of a photo shot list only certain things to remind her of and guest shot list (Hispanic catholic wedding). I really told her wanted lots of Candid photos because I wanted to see my guest having fun and everyone that made it! She delivered! The hour or so I allotted for portraits was great! She got some amazing shots! I loved that she doesn't do posed shots! She tells you what to do and had us interact and I got some amazing photos! Overall she is a great photographer and she is super sweet, easy to get a ahold of, she is priced fair! I plan to use her again in the future!! read more
