One of the girls actually reminded me I still had an extra 10% off, which was a nice surprise. I picked up two perfume sample sets from a brand I've been wanting to try, so I was really happy with that. Also loved their new checkout system they can actually ring you up while you're waiting in line if you're paying by card. One of the associates pulled me aside and checked me out on her phone, which made everything way faster. Overall, really smooth experience. Would definitely go back.

The studio is in a building on St-Catherine - quite easy to find. There was nice natural light in the space, with a cute mural right outside the window. The studio was cozy, with a dedicated table for hair and another for makeup. We started with hair, which was gently curled strand by strand with heat protection and minimal fixative for soft curls that held all day. Then we shifted to the makeup station. We started with skin prep, which was light and comfortable. The eyes were done very naturally, as I requested. Fake lashes (20$ extra) were comfortable and sturdy. Last were my lips, which were given a lovely light color. What I appreciated the most was the care for matching the natural tone of my skin. Sophie is really talented and fun to chat with. Time flew by super fast! I was really satisfied with my experience. Definitely more expensive than makeup at home, but some occasions just call for professionals, don't you think?

The Loft Salon is a hair salon and beauty bar that's been around in Cornwall for about three years…read morenow. Currently, they are moving to their new location at 130 Pitt street, and I had the opportunity to take my daughter there because she won a contest to have her hair and makeup done for her prom. The setting looks very promising, with sleek, new furniture, sliding mirrors along either side of the establishment, and a nice trendy brick interior (just like a loft, except on the ground floor.) Bathrooms were good, floor space is large and airy, and there will be a lot of stations, which means more ability to get an appointment in. They did a great job on my daughter's hair, which is very very long, curly, and thick. They essentially did a blowout, followed by a coiled curl hairdo, which was then put into a half-up, half-down formal style. It was feminine and in style, and it held very well -- from early morning, when it was done, until the middle of the night, when she came home. The makeup job was great as well, done by a woman who has MAC training and experience. My daughter is a woman of color, and a good measure of a makeup artist is whether or not they can match foundation skintones to people who aren't white or who have unusual undertones. She hand-mixed foundations and ended up with a perfect match. It's the little things like this which can really make or break a makeup artist. I recommend this place. The staff was very personable and skilled, and the place is going to end up very nice once all the construction is finished.

What I loved about this salon is they went above and beyond to make me happy and it was such a wonderful welcome to the French Canadian people. Benoit and Daniele beautifully styled our hair. First let me tell you how they treated us with EXCEPTIONAL FULL SERVICE. I was in a terrible time crunch and did not have time to do my nails so they brought me a nail file, acetone, and I did my own nails while they were doing my hair. They also brought us a big standing makeup light and let us stay in the styling chairs after they were done so that we could do our makeup. And to top it off, a glass of champagne or a beverage of your choice to only make things better! Finally and most importantly, Benoit and Daniele did a beautiful job on our hair! They were both so diligent and skilled. We have long thick ethnic hair and even though it probably took them much more time than the average set of hair to style, they charged us such a reasonable amount. I loved my experience. They are a relatively new business and imagine they will grow a set of loyal clientele quickly based on their exceptional service.
