He seems to be a nice person, but an incompetent primary physician. Stay away unless you need an allergy specialist.

He's very knowledgeable but one of those few good doctors I know who's confident and nothing himself to say when he doesn't know something. That might be one of the most important attributes for a good doctor to have as it keeps patients with complicated conditions safer than some maverick who thinks they know everything. Besides that one unique point I thought I would share I have the same views as everyone else this guy is very kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and an asset to his field at a time when you have Stanford pumping out useless doctors by the hundreds who think they are God's gift to earth. But here's the honest truth about Doctor Rozelle, he's great because he's great, unlike doctors who could be considered good because of how bad the others are. This is a pretty big difference and why he deserves 5 stars!

In my search for an experienced rheumatologist without word of mouth recommendations, I blindly…read morescheduled appointments with almost a half dozen fellowship-trained rheumatologists before I would discover Dr Lambert. I specifically was seeking out one with experience with athletes and sports injuries, and was fortunate to have found Dr Lambert, as she had previously spent many years with the Stanford Sports Medicine clinic before moving over to SOAR. As Dr Lambert has a closed practice, I had to go through some hoops to obtain a referral for a consultation. I also endured almost a month's wait as this was during the holiday season. Despite these minor annoyances, Dr Lambert was nothing short of outstanding. After a comprehensive and inspiring one hour consultation, I cannot praise more highly the care provided by Dr Lambert. Her diagnostic skills are unrivaled, and this was matched by her professionalism, patient listening skills (asking appropriate questions afterwards, without interrupting the patient's train of thought), copious note-taking abilities (she filled my medical record page both front and back with the smallest of details), and empathy. I especially appreciated her hand-written notes updating me on new lab results, as well as personally calling me three times (we ran into an unfortunate game of phone tag) before reaching me, then spending ten minutes going over follow-up questions I neglected to ask during my last office visit. I look forward to my continued care under her infinite experience and wisdom!

She let me know Dr Lambert was not accepting new patients (after she made me go into detail about my call) and I could talk to someone else about it. When she transferred me, I got another voicemail. Dr. Cummings is the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology specialist at Menlo Medical Clinic and,…read moreaccording to her bio on the MMC site, she has been with them for 23 years. My three little boys have a variety of allergies and are all subject to asthma/wheezing, so we've gotten to know Dr. Cummings over several years now... and I'm thankful that she is here to help us sort through the associated complex and stressful issues. She's got the experience and research knowledge to know what she's doing -- and during my interactions she's demonstrated both a friendly bedside manner and a balance between confidence and caution that I find reassuring. Of course with allergies as with lots of other ailments, doctors are still learning -- so even the experts can often not tell you the "right answer" for how to manage a particular allergy. And it's no fun bringing your little guys in to be poked and prodded each year for an allergy test, especially when (as on our last visit) my three year old's uncomfortable skin test got botched and had to be repeated. But as with most things, no pain, no gain. And since we are trying to do our very best to keep our little guys safe and comfortable over the long haul, we're going to keep coming to Dr. Cummings for the best advice we can get.

I've been told I'm allergic/sensitive to chemicals, and there's no known way to treat that. Dr Cummings was highly recommended to me, and I went to her as a last ditch effort. She took a look at all my previous testing, listened to me talking about my symptoms, and pinpointed my main (though not only) problem immediately - untreated silent reflux - and gave me a recommendation for her colleague, Dr Chan. She was right on the money. Dr Chan tested me, put me on meds, and I've never been better. Unlike other allergists I've gone to, Dr Cummings knows what can mimic allergy problems, and who to send you to. And I'm really grateful for that expertise, and her wonderful bedside manner.

Hmm, not sure why my review doesn't show so resubmitting…read more I have been seeing Dr. Riker as my Rheumatologist for about 4-5 (7 now) years and I can't say enough good things about her. I have to agree with the previous reviewer about being surprised to see bad reviews. I have been extremely happy with her and I have had way too much experience with the medical community in general so I consider myself a pretty discriminating patient. I was previously seeing someone at SOAR where my 'annual' check-ups consisted of touching my hands, asking how I was and saying see you next year. Dr. Riker believes that once a year is too long for RA (I now agree since my RA is under much better control since seeing her). At my appointments, I really appreciate the time that Dr. Riker spends to understand what is going on with my health -- maybe because she is also an Internist, but she asks me about everything -- dental, opthamologist, dermatologist, immunizations, cholesterol, allergies, etc.. She reviews my records while I'm there and follows up on things (things that I was supposed to do) from our last visit item by item. I have never once felt the least bit rushed with her either. Overall, I feel very well taken care of with her and I feel like she cares about my health. It was hard to get into to see her (I wasn't being seen at MMC at the time and she wasn't taking new patients), but I persisted and was able to convince Mary to give me an appointment. In re: to some of the other comments I saw, I think MMC has a pretty strict late policy as I've been turned away for being late -- It wasn't just with Dr. Riker though. And, yes, it sucked at the time. But then if you're the next patient and the doctor is running on time because they didn't take people beyond 15 mins. late -- it's a good thing. Also, the quality of medical care was there from the first visit but I'd say it took me two or so visits to completely warm up to her -- but that's my style as well.

I agree completely with the other one star ratings. Riker's office also wasted two weeks of my…read moretime. I was able to speak to a medical professional exactly once during this nightmare. On Friday M. was very sympathetic and said Riker would review my records on Tuesday. I had heard nothing and called Menlo Clinic rheumatology on Thursday. The person on the phone would not put me through to M., but did have the courtesy to review my record. He said a letter had been sent to my referring dermatologist saying Riker's practice was closed. This isn't true. She accepts the patients she wants and lets the rest of us sit in limbo until the referring doctor tells us we didn't make the cut. Doesn't even have the courtesy to have one of her staff call the patient directly. I'm filing complaints with every agency I can think of.

There were barely any foods left I could eat anymore that would not cause me pain on top of having extreme bloating, cramping, nausea, constipation, heartburn, fatigue, and multiple other symptoms on top of my own stress and grief. Desperate for a solution when my regular doctor could not come up with any, I turned to Dr. Wong not knowing anything about how naturopathic medicine works. After seeing her on and off for the past year and a half, I am so grateful to no longer be reporting any of my original symptoms, and able to live my life again. While of course it is a more expensive route than just taking a simple pill along with much more dedication to your health, I am so glad that I decided to work with her. Not only does she genuinely care about your overall well-being, but also she comes up with an individualized plan based on multiple thorough tests based on your needs. I highly recommend working with Dr. Wong if you want to make a positive difference in your life and are able to financially commit to this type of work.
