With my favorite mentor, Ms. Asmi. Best teacher ever!
    Oleksandra K.

I graduated from this school a year ago, and looking back, it was the best investment I've ever made! Even after a year in the industry, I still use everything I learned there. The school is amazing, but the absolute GOAT is Ms. Asmi. I'm still obsessed with her! She has this incredible way of making even the toughest techniques feel easy. No fluff, just pure skills and constant support. If you want to actually feel confident in your hands and start a career, you NEED to go to Ms. Asmi. Truly the best!

Miss Asmi is an incredible instructor that cares about everyone's experiences and learning journey. Miss Tammy and Mr hao are very kind and everyone here has a passion for their job. The girls in my esthetician course have been amazing. Miss Asmi is always accommodating to all the different people and personalities. People that have issues with the class/ faculty have issues with themselves . It's a super supportive and encouraging experience. Sad to be graduating soon

After and Before my keratin treatment. Amazing!!

The person servicing my feet used the drill bit so long that she really thinned out my nails & caused injury & intolerable pain, I almost asked her to leave those toes blank. But I also didn't want to leave with an incomplete service or take away her learning opportunity. It was extremely hard to communicate with them because of the language barrier, it was helpful when the teachers would come over & guide & also be a translator when these issues arose. The vibe overall was fine, the seating where we were guided was pretty uncomfortable set up wise, I felt like I was bending like a pretzel and was very unstable. My manicure came with my gel stuck to my fingers and lots of cuts, bubbles in my nails, and even hair. The sanitization wasn't the best either, tools were continually dropped and continued to be used. I also noticed dirty gloves on clean surfaces. I'd come back to try other things but I'm a bit unsettled by my nails experience. I also came aware that I would be getting services by students, so I completely understand the learning curves. I think the teachers could've stepped in more and supported, guided, corrected, and maybe even shown or done the procedure partially to give more guidance.

Bầu không khí tiêu cực do một số nhân viên tạo ra đã làm lu mờ những gì lẽ ra phải là một trải nghiệm học tập tích cực. My experience with Top Line Beauty College was extremely disappointing, largely because of one staff member, Kim. She often acts as though she runs the entire school and creates an uncomfortable environment for students. Over the years, I have heard similar concerns from numerous coworkers, classmates, and colleagues who felt they were treated unfairly or disrespectfully. Students come to beauty school to learn, grow, and build confidence in a supportive environment. Instead, many feel intimidated and afraid to speak up. A learning environment should encourage students, not make them feel fearful or anxious. Based on my experience and the experiences shared by others, I would not recommend this school. The negative atmosphere created by certain staff members overshadows what should be a positive educational experience.

Unfortunately, my original barber did not show up until around 4:50 PM. When I politely asked what happened, his response came across as dismissive and unprofessional rather than acknowledging the delay. After driving all the way from LA and waiting well past my appointment time, that was disappointing. That said, I want to give a huge shoutout to Uriyah (I may be misspelling his name). When I explained the situation and requested a different barber, he handled everything professionally, respectfully, and without hesitation. The school was extremely busy, but he listened and found a solution. I was reassigned to Andrew, and Andrew was absolutely 5 stars. He was friendly, professional, attentive, and gave me one of the best haircuts I've had in a long time. We had great conversations throughout the appointment, he made me feel comfortable, and he was incredibly kind to my dog as well. His attention to detail, positive attitude, and genuine care for his craft completely turned the experience around. So while I'm giving the school 4 stars because of the initial appointment experience, Andrew personally earned 5 stars from me. He completely salvaged the visit, and I'd happily book with him again. Thank you to Andrew and Uriyah for turning a frustrating start into a great experience.

I had to ask 2 times how much longer until im called back, the receptionist went to check but did not give me an update. The instructor did not check ONCE on the student. My daughter went for a cut. Her hair was to the middle of her butt. She asked for 4 inches off. They cut to her bra line. She wasn't able to see how much was being cut since she was cutting from the back. Afterwards my daughter was very upset. She told her this isn't what she asked for. The girl was not apologetic until she noticed my daughter looked down. Seeing different lengths of hair. She probably kept messing up and continued to cut. She left upset and crying. I called the school to speak with a manager and have yet to hear back. We understand this is a school and they are still learning. An instructor should be checking on them more often so these mistakes don't happen. It's just hair and I had to remind my daughter of that. But cutting off more than double what was asked is unacceptable.

When I got there I realized it was not the stylist I wanted but took a chance on her anyway (they had the same name). Paul Mitchell needs to explain the services on their website more clearly. I had no idea what a phase I or phase II was when booking. Had I known, I would have booked phase II (I believe the students are more experienced). That was my mistake which is the only reason I marked the review as a two star instead of one. On to the actual service, the student was friendly and the hair wash was nice and gentle. I told her I have thick heavy hair and I wanted lots of layers starting at my shoulders and a couple inches off with face framing bangs. Right away I could tell she didn't know where to start, which is fine. I wasn't expecting perfection and was fully prepared to walk out with some flaws. My stylist asked for guidance from the teacher there. She helped with the bangs and that's about it. The student never asked for help again and the teacher never came back. I thought it was weird that she wasn't lifting my hair and cutting layers like I usually see with a layered haircut. I thought she must be taking it slow and doing a different approach. I don't know what she was doing because she started blowing drying my hair not long after. So I thought maybe she'd cut more when it's dry. She proceeds to add a bunch of products to my hair with two other students trying to do a blow out for an HOUR. After that she asked me how I liked it, I told her it's hard to tell because it looks the same. The bangs were the only noticeable difference. I asked if she did layers and she said she did. She told me to let her know if anything's wrong they can fix it. But at this point, I didn't want to waste anymore time. Nearly two hours on that chair for little to no difference. I came in for a haircut and couldn't even get that. I would've appreciated it if the student at least tried but it seemed like she wasn't interested. She could've asked for help any of that time and the teacher could've checked up on her (they stay around the area but mainly socialize with each other or sit in empty chairs on their phones). I also did not feel comfortable with the students around gossiping about other clients, it was completely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable to voice my opinion. When I got home I noticed that the bangs weren't even at all once I tied my hair up. At that point I was really frustrated because the way she cut it was as easy as a YouTube tutorial cut. She never bothered to check if they were even so I had to even it out at home. The blowout also wasn't really there and all the products she put made my hair feel heavy and weighed down and a bit crunchy. I can handle a bad haircut - I have long thick hair that grows fairly quick. I'm not too picky either but to come spend two hours for a service and not receive anything is annoying to say the least.

This school from day one has been amazing, so supportive, enthusiastic, and I had the greatest experience from the teachers including Ms lynda - Every girl that I've ever come across in this class has been impeccable, amazing, outstanding words cannot say enough of how deserving the school is each and every girl from day one!!! The school from day one prepares you gives you all the knowledge and teachings you will ever need for an aesthetician they give you bookwork, they give you test, hands on training can you even get to work on clients and they can book appointments with you Tuesday through Friday at 5:30 and 730 appointment times they teach you everything from waxing to using high frequency microdermabrasion, and chemical peel with enzyme peel's you name it they will teach you everything. Miss Felicia was 100% correct when she said the esthe girls have a bond like not other. I've walked out with friend for a life time, and a school experience I'll never forget. Not to mention when we all graduate individually we get a potluck and the tunnel!! With all the barbers and esthe girls in support of our success. Thank you thank you for giving me a career I absolutely love.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!…read more Wish I could give it 0 stars! Can't believe this POS is still even open! I attended the Esthetics course for this school from 2003-2004. I (like so many other students, more then half!) found it almost impossible to finish on time because the school was so boring. It took me a year but I managed to finish those boring hours eventually! I wasn't aware that Paul Mitchell existed until after I had signed up here but 16 years later am STILL sorry I didn't transfer there instead despite the fact that it was 3 times more expensive. Well worth it if you ask me! We NEVER had any "clients" to work on so we always had to practice on each other which was terrible because we didn't get enough real experience. My teacher was a very nice woman (the only nice thing I can say about this school! I did like my teacher ok!) and she noticed I was struggling and the school made the offer that I could go to night school if I needed to to get my hours that way. That made it worse! The teacher was only there from 9-5 everyday so I wasn't even being supervised after 5 pm except by the cosmetology teacher who spent her time telling me about her special diet. I pretty much paid them to sit after hours in an empty classroom and they actually let me!! All of this isn't even why I HATE this school though! My real motivation is the fact that right after I graduated I had a baby and became a stay at home mom, so I didn't go for my license but obviously still planned to. About 7 years went by and I couldn't find my proof of hours because they were repossessed in my storage unit so I contacted the school about a new copy of my proof of hours. The snotty woman on the phone informed me that "they are legally required to only hold onto those records for up to five years and it had been seven, but since it had been so long I should probably go back to school anyways since I probably don't remember anything anyways". First of all, this is NOT rocket science and I have a photographic memory so I actually remember 3/4 of what I learned despite the fact that it has been 16 years now! I recently reached out to the state board because I apparently forgot to finish paying the last quarter of my student loan off (darn) and have been denied financial aid to community college today because of it. While I was checking that info on the government website it showed that I attended the school from 2003-2004 and in fact graduated, but naturally that is NOT enough proof for me to take my test! The only proof I can use is from the school, who apparently wiped their asses with it years ago. Thanks guys! Btw, I paid a little over $2000 back in 2003, today they charge $10,000! I would rather stab myself in the eye then pay another school like this that much money to "retake my hours" Hope this helps! Please do check out the reviews that are "not recommended at this time" as well. There are 18 of them and half of them are bad! Sneaky sneaky!!
