Found this sweet place by Fluke! I was in the area late last night and wass Craving some Mexican .. I know I just came from there and the food in Mexico is hard to beat but thiS place is pretty close ... It had a Big Bulging sign saying : "Ouvert" Yaaay I came in and was lured in by the sccent from the ready made meals to the left. I didn't even take the time to go through their grocery section. I should have, as I love cooking homemade meals, but I was hungry and in a hurry & the last thing I want to do when I get back home is Cook haha. Ambiance: a bit old looking and needs a real facelift but that didn't stop me from giving it a try. The take out counter was all ready prepared meats and interesting dishes that reminded me a lot of Mexico! It's a latino grocery store kind of like a mini Adonis but more authentic and unique. Service: Fabulous! Very nice boys behind the counter smilling and serving me anything I wanted. They seemed very friendly and even taught me words in Spanish .. super cool! Food: They had fresh Pork skins , pork dishes, chicken dishes meatballs, beef, beans, Empanadas , Tongue wow it was cook to perfection I should have gotten the 4 tacos for 10$ but slipped my mind ( next time ;;)) The flavours are very authentic and comes super close to the food I had in Mexico. It's latin cuisine lots of rice dishes, tacos, salsa Piquante ,Pico de gallo .. the Guaccc was AMAZING I really enjoyed it. The Empanadas is a Colombian dish was very good too they had to different cooks ( baked or fried) I got both .. the fried was way more flavourful .. the baked empanadas was ok but kinda dry. Parking: Hard as you have to be lucky now a days with all this snow and bike paths lol Cost: Very reasonable.. we got lots of assorted meats and dishes for around 50$ Overall, really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back for More !

Absolutely amazing food. I have been to two other Arepera places in Montrea, both sucked. Bocadillo and another. They had so many fillers that you could not taste the main ingredients. You could only see a lot of food and then tastes were all compromised. This is the opposite: for half the price, and focus on the main ingredients: bread, avocado and beef. Each perfectly done!! No fillers needed. Straigh to the point & simply perfect. It's been a few hours since I had it and already wish I could eat it again. So far I keep realizing that great food in Montreal is in the places you least expect it!

What a fantastic discovery! This is a south American heaven. There are three parts to this place. A butcher who had beautiful cuts of meats. A supermarket with tons of authentic south American products, not that Old El Paso crap. And finally a restaurant. The restaurant has a variety of scrumptious dishes, all of which can be for take out. This is more of a fast food place, not a proper sit down restaurant with service. I played the dummy that I am and the staff was eager to answer my questions. I can't wait to go back!

Wow! What a gem in this city. Right when I walked in, I was transported to a local deli in NYC. Everything here is fantastic. I highly recommend the Colombian empanadas with meat and potatoes, the chorizo tacos and the fresh squeezed passion fruit juice. In the back they even sell Hispanic produce, snacks, and groceries. The staff is super friendly and warm. Love this low-key, under the radar place!! Can't rave enough about how bomb the food is.

Latino bottega, meat shop, bakery & restaurant. All under one roof. If you close your eyes and open upon entering you could imagine you are in El Barrio in east Harlem. The grocery store is small packed but has many if not all of the ingredients needed for a Latin inspired recipe or meal. As other have mentioned the bakery is pretty unbelievable. Churros, buns, cookies, cakes and so many tasty sweet items. The butcher shop has some different cuts and I noticed Mexican chorizo sausages and even Colombian chorizo. Plus many other different cuts that your Metro or IGA would not have. They did have an excellent selection of fresh tortas and tortillas. Mostly corn ones but I did see some wheat based also in different sizes. I walked over to the restaurant and it was too busy for me to discover but it looked like they had fresh steamed tamales and the smell was one of cornmeal and pork in the resto. It smelled amazing. Just as your mouth salivating feeling as a running faucet.....l amazing! I must come back and take more time to discover earlier in the day!

I would totally recommend anyone to try this place, the lady is welcoming, food might have taken a short while to come but it was worth the wait. I had a plate stuffed with broken rice, red beans, plantains cooked in two different ways, beef steak, pork sausages, lard, avocado and yuka with a quickly fried egg. All that for somewhere around 25$. A little pricey you might say but look at the amount of food you get! To clean all this I also got a freshly made passion fruit juice, wish I could have this every morning to be honest... It's located near Marché Jean Talon and you can park on the street, the place doesn't lie. They don't need fancy table cloth or cool lightnings, you come here for one thing : the food.

I came with a group of 8 and we had no problems finding seating though. Food: The Bandeja Paisa...huge mixture of food on a platter, consisted of chorizo sausages, bed of excellent rice, red beans, fried egg, fried pork rind, grilled steak...possibly the national dish of Columbia. It was done very well. Outstanding seasoning. Others in my party ordered the pork chops or fried fish. Everything was done well. Prices were $10-$20. Service was fast and the owner was very friendly. I highly recommend Tina's.

Great service and even better food. Me and my best friend…read moreended it up coming here for dinner randomly because it was already late (11pm) and a lot of restaurants were closed. We chose Bocadillo because it seemed to have good ambiance (it was full of people finishing their dinners). we ordered the fromage tacanhos and we immediately looked at each other because they were delicious. We just wanted to order more... after that, we chose a vegetarian plate and the Bistro de Pollo that was the best arepa I have ever had in my life! I wasn't a fan of arepas or at least i thought (by my experience in Caracas)... We were perplexed by the quality of the food and the simpathy they had although it was almost closing time. I highly recommend this place to all fans of Venezuelan food and who ever wants to get to know this amazing cuisine.

Even though the patty was thick, it was still moist and juicy. The bacon had a bite to it which I prefer, the fried egg adding body and the avocado adding creaminess. To top off, a burger of this size needed buns with integrity and strength, and these definitely provided, and had been toasted as well. I thought the fries could've used a bit less time in the frier, but all in all a great option for a burger. Like others have said here, the outside with the takeout window makes it seem smaller than it is, but there's plenty of seating inside. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. Definitely coming back for the arepas.
