    Tostada mixta
    George T.

No mames!! I ordered a tostada mixta all I got was cucumber salad. No shrimp no fake crab. There food keeps getting worse.

    Pastor, lengua, pollo, carne asada

Came here during lunch and there weren't that many people. Surprisingly, it took a while for the food to come out. I got four tacos. Lengua - good but came out room temperature. Would've preferred it to be warmer Carne Asada- tasted like what you expect. The meat is a bit lean. No special flavoring or seasoning Al pastor - this one really stood out to me. Came out hot compared to others and the marinade is really good. I don't know how they flavored this but one of the best al pastor tacos I've had. Pollo - dry, lean meat. I'm used to dark meat but it was white meat. Tough and hardly any flavor. They charge you a credit card fee of 1 usd if your purchase is under 15. Not cool. Largest fee I've incurred so far for paying with a CC. This place overall is average. Not bad but not that good either. Small parking lot so expect to park on the street if you can't find anything.

23611 Ave 95 is the new address. Clean restaurant, with simple and delish food.

23611 Av. 95 is the address. Clean restaurant with good food. Lots of House Specials, which is great for a budget when you want to eat out. Plenty of parking.(First review... Yay!

My lunch. Mostly big chunks of fat, a little beef swimming in a pool of nasty grease. Missing the salad. Used to be great :(

The food was full of flavor. My first time I ordered the eggs and chorizo. Simple yet delicious, with some of the best handmade tortillas that I've had. My second time I ordered the tacos gobernador. They were full of flavor and had a good kick of spicy in them. Excelente restaurante. La comida estaba llena de sabor. Disfruté mucho los chips con salsa, que si estuvo picosita El servicio fue excelente. Nuestra mesera tomó el tiempo para conocernos y fue muy amable.

I can tell you whole heartedly that these were the absolute best nachos I've had in my life. Fresh runny beans, homemade hot fried chips, fresh melted cheese, carne asada, pico de gallo, green salsa, crema, pickled onions, avocado and oregano. The service was so nice and such a nice family vibe. We happened to come in when she was making FRESH PISTACHIO MILK/ water. Next door is a pistachio plant and luckily she has found a way to make those little nuts even better! This drink is insane. We will be coming here everytime we pass, up to springville, porterville or the sequoias. She even gifted us a bag of fresh pistachios because we were soooo hyped about her place! They definitely love what they do and show their love through food!

I love Mexican food and I'm 1/4 Mexican. This place has been around since 1976 so if I'm a bit…read moreharsh it's because they should know better. I checked Yelp but I neglected to sort by date. Some of the best reviews were many years ago. I ordered the chile verde burrito, wet, and my girlfriend ordered the fish taco Friday special. Chile verde has different sized pork chunks in a delicious green sauce but the meat was inconsistent in size with most pieces being rock hard, or fat/gristle. No pieces were tender. Chile verde should be tender. I can make better Chile verde in an Instant Pot with pork shoulder and a jar of Herdez green salsa. I trim my meat well though. No surprises. The fish tacos were attractive. They resembled fish sticks though. They had a bread crumb coating, were cooked earlier, and reheated before putting in the taco shell. Not beer batter fried aka Baja style. The taco shells were soft yellow corn tortillas with the texture of flour tortillas. These tortillas were really good! Avocado and fresh cilantro was a nice touch. No special fish taco sauce was used, but might improve the fish sticks. Rice was a solid hit for both of us. We make it like this at home with shrimp/tomato bouillon. The beans were ok. I ended up "returning" the inedible chile verde and they dutifully replaced it with a different burrito. The service was 5/5. The place itself is clean and neat and spacious. No complaints there.

There was a lot going on in town, which was shocking but we also came out of the park earlier than we normally do, but amazing enough Casa Mendoza wasn't very busy and we got seated immediately, and we just had the best server that we've ever had there, she was so polite and friendly and crazy efficient with our orders and getting them back to us asap. I didn't wanna fill up on beans and rice so I just went with an à la carte of three crispy tacos, and a tamale. I told her to put them all on one plate when they came out looking like the best à la carte plate I've ever seen; almost as if it was a menu item unto itself. Everything just had so much flavor, and the tamale is definitely in the top two of best tamales I've ever had. We will continue to come here after our Sequoia adventures for hopefully many more years to come

The chips were lightly seasoned and the salsa was flavorful. The kids had a good amount of options for food which is nice, other restaurants maybe have 3 or 4. The adult portions were huge!
