They came out multiple times to make sure I was good and to even talk a little. The Michelada mix was delicious, ceviche had a really good taste, and you have to try a charro taco!!! We've been wanting tacos while driving up the 99 and came across this place. To say the food was good is an understatement. We ordered a few asada tacos and a quesabirria. The tacos were great and the quesabirria is the best I've had. The orders also came with a bean tostada (delicious!), grilled onions, a chile torreado, and house chips. I came for the burrito. I stayed for the quesa birria. This place has earned its reputation. It's a fantastic little hole in the wall, complete with a dirt parking lot, scenic view of a truck wash and tire shop... it even has a bullet hole in one window. The food is fantastic. Flavourful carnitas, perfectly grilled peppers and onions, and a really fantastic, smokey hot salsa (you have to ask for it. The table salsa served with chips is very mild). Enough about all that. These are the best QuesaBirria I've ever had. Perfect ratios of meat and cheese. Outstanding flavor, and everything is served hot off the grill. My only complaint is a slight soapy flavor in the diet coke, but I'll overlook that to come back for more. My hunny took me here for lunch one day and I really liked it. If you dine in they bring chips and salsa to your table....and if you know me, you know that's totally my jam! Most Mexican Restaurants will do this, and I always ask if they have different salsa varieties...I have bit of a salsa problem. Anyway, back to the food! I ordered the cheese enchiladas, make sure to order Michoacán style! Depending on your preference, you'll want to order them either wet or dry. Wet is your typical heavy sauce, heavy cheese, lettuce on the side. Dry (Michoacán) have less sauce but they're covered in salad mix, crema, and cotija cheese sprinkled on top! I've had them both ways and I've converted to a "Michoacán Enchilada Lover"! My hunny had shrimp tacos. They were very good! The shrimp is battered and fried. Light and fluffy! Not heavy at all. They had all the goodies inside as well. Cabbage, pico, crema! Yum! I like that they have a drive-thru. It's fairly small inside, not great for big parties, but they do have an outdoor seating area! We're taking a trip down south. And stopped by on accident. I could smell the burgers from across the street. Took a chance and ate here, we ordered a double burger with fries, burritos & asada fries. At first glance the food looks really plain. But the burger melts in your mouth. Packed with flavor. Found this gem right off the 99 as my husband was craving a breakfast burrito. He got a couple of breakfast burritos and I got the carne asada taco plate with all rice. OMG SO GOOD. The flavor of the asada is similar to my previous fave king taco but this one is SO MUCH BETTER. The tacos are moist and flavorful. Each bite is so delicious I just wish I ordered more. The rice is super fluffy and compliments the tacos well. They also give you chips and salsa. The chips taste homemade and the salsa is delicious too.
