After receiving an abnormal mammogram, I reached out to my doctor. She spoke about the high level of trust she had in Dr. Sachedina, D.O., FACOS. She said Dr. Sachedina takes great care of her patients, and she would not refer me to anyone else. I was able to get an appointment scheduled quickly. I remember Dr. Sachedina greeting me and 'educating me about my abnormal mammogram first.' She focused on one wall chart that showed an expanded view of the breast lobe and she stepped me through where the abnormality was. My level of trust and confidence in Dr. Sachedina quickly grew and I knew why my doctor referred me to her. Dr. Sachedina calmed me down by explaining that people do not die from this, but I still had decisions to make and needed to understand the process. She provided me with a specialized care team, which included Dr. Sachedina, her staff, radiologists, oncologists, and a plastic surgeon. Anyone can understand the complexities of a treatment involving multiple doctors, at multiple locations over many weeks. Dr. Sachedina drove the process, and at any sign of a scheduling delay, she stepped in. Any time I did not understand what was going on she explained it in a way I understood it. I truly appreciate her being my advocate! I have never had a doctor's office or group of doctors, which worked together so collaboratively. Because of this care team, I was able to make an 'informed decision.' Dr. Sachedina is the founder of Ub3E. The purpose of this community is to collectively be able to engage, educate and empower people through this platform. She is the author of the 'My Metu and Lee' an educational series written for children to learn about cancer, breast cancer and leukemia. This is unsafe due to lack of sanitation for anyone who is medically vulnerable. I just fired Dr. Sachedina because her entire office is unmasked, patients and staff wear no masks. If you have cancer, or might have cancer, or if you have any significant risk factors for severe Covid - this is unsafe for you. A patient in the waiting room started coughing up tons of yuck - without covering her mouth - no mask - clearly demonstrating Covid symptoms. The staff didn't care. It's way too risky for me. I had to leave and am now seeking a new doctor with a sanitary office. Sitting in the waiting room with clearly symptomatic people, none of whom are wearing masks, would have killed me and anyone else who has cancer or any other illness. Disgusting. read more

Boy am i glad i found these reviews. My pcp had recommended their office to me to have a fibroadenoma lump removed. i had it scheduled, but then they called to tell me that it would be $255 after my deductible for my consultation visit. I called back to cancel. My imaging office called to follow up and referred me to a different doctor that I saw and I only paid $45 for that visit which is my copay. The doctor I saw took as much time as I wanted to answer all of my questions regarding having my fibroadenoma removed. Judging on these previous reviews...it sure doesn't sound like Dr Sachedina would have spent that amount of time. Plus they didn't expect me to have any further mammograms...since I already had one recently. I am glad I didn't take a chance...and I ended up with a great doctor. read more

I have been a patient now for about 4 months. After getting news of AHDP that had to be removed. First visit with Dr Sachedina was very informative, she's got a great bed-side manner of being straightforward and telling you like it is, and I appreciated that. The process of going through all the tests can be daunting but handled very well. Day of surgery went smoothly and she re-explained everything, we even had a few mins of light chatter which put me at ease. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is due to the way the payments are handled. I had to pre-pay surgery fees and it ended up being about $900 more than I needed to so I had to get a refund after the fact. This is the only appointment I had to pre-pay before surgery and the only one that messed up the payment amount. I don't see that as a coincidence. I have insurance for a reason. Bill it and then get my copay for the remainder like everyone else does please. read more

I don't understand the other reviews bc the doctor, the assistants and other staff are all super. Dr. Sachedina is amazing. She explained why and what she planned on doing. She was patient and explained everything in non-medical terms. She answered all my questions. My experience was vastly different from reviews on here and I'm not sure why. She even asked during the procedure if I was okay. I'm really picky and I really respect her and her staff. I honestly would not want to go to a different doctor if I needed another biopsy done. And I'm saying this after I had one done 30 mins ago, so it's still fresh in my mind. read more

My GYN referred me to Dr S after confirming a lump. I was made aware that she follows a rigourous protocol and it might seem excessive. I was also asked by a friend, survivor, who raves about her doctor (Dr. S) who I was seeing. She looked relieved when I told her. Prevention is better than treatment. I like rigourous prevention. I had a really bad experience here. The ARNP and nurses were fine, the doctor was NOT. She had no bedside manner whatsoever and was in and out in 10 minutes-just enough time to drop the "cancer" bomb on me and go. I sat there in shock for a minute and then had to literally chase her down the hall to ask questions when I could contain myself and come to grips. She immediately wanted to perform surgery and said to not even think about having kids in the future-imagine hearing that as someone walks away from you down a busy hall!!! read more

I've read the complaints and it seems like most are financial in nature. Dr. Sachedina was very patient and explained everything. There must be a feeling of trust when you go through the trauma of a biopsy. From everything I have read, you must have a mammogram and ultrasound to find a mass to do the biopsy. So I followed the process and am now waiting for the results. It's scary and emotional and some of the patients sounded upset before they even walked in. I have great respect for Dr. Sachedina as well as being informed by other doctors that she is one of the best at detecting problems early on. I chose for my body to have the most thorough and scrupulous doctor. Again - these reviews could be a matter of personality preferences. I want the best of the best. I found her very calm and assuring and compassionate. I want her to be confident and straight forward. We are talking about our lives here. read more

I had the same experience that Emily W. had with this so called "doctor". I don't even have cancer yet, but I was referred to this person after I had the BRCA test and found out I had the bad gene. She told me I shouldn't have kids because I would be passing on the bad gene. She also wanted me to go ahead and have a complete mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. In fact, her staff went ahead and scheduled all these appointments with reconstructive surgeons, etc. and then kept calling me and harrassing me when I didnt' go. This was several years ago, but obviously, she has not changed. Maybe she's excellent if you already have cancer and need an aggressive surgeon, but for someone like me, she's nothing but a nightmare. Steer clear. Is it possible to do no stars?? read more

Her office staff was rude. They tried to collect over $200 when I kept telling them what my copay was and what it covered. The billing manager came out and said she would collect my copay but would be calling me personally to collect the rest when my insurance processed the claim. I owed nothing more when my insurance processed the claim. The doctor herself was rude and was extremely rough on me. I have kept asking for the lump to be removed but she would rather bill me every 3-6 months for a mammogram and office visit for the rest of my life instead. read more

I had the worst experience with Dr. Sachedina and her office. I would not recommend her to anyone. I underwent a biopsy to determine a lump was a fibroadenoma. Her office required a mammogram before they would see me, which I paid for out of pocket. When I arrived Sachedina told me they only view mammograms done at their own facility and charged me for that "visit". Then they charged me to come back for one of their mammograms. Then they refused to give me results over the phone and insisted I come in (another charge) to tell me I needed a biopsy. Sachedina is completely lacking in bedside manner. She explained the biopsy to me as a "very small needle, similar to a flu shot, that goes in once" and that was it. When I came in for the biopsy, she gave me a totally different story, including the fact that a metal clip is inserted which counters my religious beliefs. She argued with me and raised her voice to the point where I began crying. She told me I had fifteen minutes to make up my mind and stormed out of the room. All the while I was in serious fear that the tumor was cancerous, when in reality all indications pointed to it being a fibroadenoma. I agreed to the procedure and she proceeded to use a drill. Must larger than a "small needle". I was sitting up and had to watch the entire thing, unlike other offices where you are placed on a special table on your stomach. She kept going back in with the drill five or six times. It was graphic. I don't think I have ever been more upset. Then, I had to come back in for the results (another charge, wouldn't talk over the phone), to find out that nothing was wrong. Then I was told I must come back to Sachedina every year and was discouraged from finding another breast surgeon.I asked the doctor if there was any other way for this to be resolved other than via a biopsy. From detecting the lump to the two mammograms to the biopsy, everything indicated the fibroadenoma. Yet the biopsy was inevitable. The doctor said that no matter what, they would ultimately opt to do a biopsy. What I want to know is why I was scheduled and charged for all these appointments and mammograms when they knew what they were going to do anyway. They should have just scheduled the biopsy off the bat because nothing they could find would change their mind - as they told me. I ended up spending a fortune in medical bills all over nothing. I was bullied and scared. I wouldn't recommend Sachedina to anyone. read more

I had a similar experience. I recently went to Dr. Sachedina for a follow up appointment. After waiting for over a half an hour for her, she rushed in the room to perform the ultrasound. She started to get visibly upset and said me that there were "drastic changes in my breast tissue", and "from now on I was coming there to get my mammograms". She then went on to say that she was ordering a mammogram and taking tissue samples and left the room. I had no idea what just happened, let alone why she got upset and raised her voice or for that matter, ordered a biopsy. Soon after, I was cattled into get the mammogram. ( I seriously felt more like a number than a patient). On top of all that when leaving I'm informed of a huge out of pocket charge for my visit and given the future charges that I will be responsible for when I come in for the biopsy the following week. The whole experience was a bit overwhelming. Dr. Sachedina is sorely lacking in bedside manner, and her staff really isn't that much better. I was amazed at the lack of empathy. Seriously, you can't order a biopsy and then leave the room without explaining what you saw and why you feel a biopsy is necessary, not to mention drop a huge out of pocket charge when I'm still dealing with the 'what if's' that are swirling around in my brain due to the Dr. that didn't explain jack crap to me about what she saw on the ultrasound. I decided to get a second opinion but overall, I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. read more
