I'm SO glad I made this switch, love this office! Everyone here is so nice and super easy to talk to. There is a large parking lot, it is conveniently located in downtown Westbrook, and they have a very comfortable waiting area with couches and pleasing colors. I have had two visits so far, the first being a new patient visit, which was a tad longer than usual just because they needed to get films and such. The dental hygienist was SUPER nice, and we got along great, which eased my anxiety of visiting a new practice. The second visit was today. I needed to have some very minor dental work done (cavity, ugh, hate admitting that). It was honestly painless. They got started at 7:40 and I was in my car by 8:15. Dr. Cloutier is very thorough, friendly, and knows his stuff! Again, the hygienist was awesome, and I will venture to say that my visit was even borderline fun...if you can imagine that? Very impressed. Oh! They have perks too! FREE CHAPSTICK. Yes, read that again. I said free chapstick...a real lifesaver for me since I like to have (GOOD) chapsticks everywhere I can possibly have them so I can use one at any given moment. It's really good quality too, fig and pear scented. Omg, I love it. Ok, enough about the chapstick. Overall, I'm very glad I made the switch to this office and highly recommend them!

I might loathe visits to the dentist, but what makes them bearable is having a really incredible doctor -- someone like Dr. Doyon. I first saw Dr. Doyon last year at his former practice in Portland. He came with glowing recommendations from my mother and sister and I decided to give him a try. To be honest, my visit was because of a toothache, but he didn't make me feel badly for not having seen a dentist in a few years. Dr. Doyon has been wonderful to me. He's kind, funny, engaging -- he spends part of every visit with me just catching up, making me feel more relaxed. He takes the time to explain things, and always answers my questions without making me feel silly for asking. After learning that Dr. Doyon was leaving his former practice to open up his own, it didn't matter to me where he was going -- I was right there behind him. I used to travel 5 minutes to see him, now I travel 30 minutes. But he and his staff are worth it. His staff -- they are awesome. Friendly, upbeat, and reassuring -- plus, you can tell that they like working for Dr. Doyon. A happy hygenist is always a good thing! His calm demeanor is wonderful, absolutely, then couple that with his skill, knowledge, and inventive nature makes him a "miracle worker". I had an emergency on a Friday night (as my front tooth decided to leave), and of course, during after hours. I left a message on the Doctor Vitali's emergency number, but told him not to hurry in, as the emergency was mine, without pain or blood, and wanted him home with his family. Sure enough his Office Manager, Leanne, phoned me first thing Monday morning and scheduled me in that afternoon for a consult. After the consult it was decided that a bridge was needed as both front teeth were in turmoil. This was shocking to hear, but I have faith in this man, from past experiences; yes, was a bit frightened, Both teeth were removed on Holy Thursday and the Monday after Easter, I had a bridge with beautiful teeth. PAINLESS and secure. It had been a long time to eat something with such comfort and normalcy. I forgot what that was like and so very thrilled beyond understanding how he made this happen, but it is truthful. I am so happy., Dr. Bondar's staff has to be commended also, just has to be. Leanne works her magic with running the office and accommodating their patients with regular appointments and those with emergence. I feel really comfortable with her at the helm, always wanting to help and please in a sincere kind and caring way. Federica and Shannon are the doctor's Assistants and where does he get these personal, capable staff members is beyond me. Their gracious persona, and for real caring attitude is very comforting. They made me forget what I was there for. I am scheduled for a cleaning with their Hygienist and have not yet met her, but I've seen her usher her patients out with warmth, and genuine feelings of care, so I am sure, she will be added to my happiness with Smile Design. We had trusted Dr. Knudsen. We were shocked by his behavior and failure to take responsibility in this situation. We would later come to find that several other patients had similar experiences. We moved on to a wonderful dentist in Portland who thankfully had the expertise to correct the situation. Sadly, in today's world it has become more about money than what is ethically correct. We had two independent professional opinions confirm that the procedure was in fact known to fail and never should have been done. Efforts to resolve this situation in a respectful manner and get compassionate help for a painful situation were totally disrespected by Dr. Knudsen. As professionals ourselves, we were very saddened after all these years to leave a long standing relationship on these terms.
