Having had past dental procedures by Dr. Vitali Bondar, Smile Design, Portsmouth NH, there is no other dentist I would rather go to. His calm demeanor is wonderful, absolutely, then couple that with his skill, knowledge, and inventive nature makes him a "miracle worker". I had an emergency on a Friday night (as my front tooth decided to leave), and of course, during after hours. I left a message on the Doctor Vitali's emergency number, but told him not to hurry in, as the emergency was mine, without pain or blood, and wanted him home with his family. Sure enough his Office Manager, Leanne, phoned me first thing Monday morning and scheduled me in that afternoon for a consult. After the consult it was decided that a bridge was needed as both front teeth were in turmoil. This was shocking to hear, but I have faith in this man, from past experiences; yes, was a bit frightened, Both teeth were removed on Holy Thursday and the Monday after Easter, I had a bridge with beautiful teeth. PAINLESS and secure. It had been a long time to eat something with such comfort and normalcy. I forgot what that was like and so very thrilled beyond understanding how he made this happen, but it is truthful. I am so happy., Dr. Bondar's staff has to be commended also, just has to be. Leanne works her magic with running the office and accommodating their patients with regular appointments and those with emergence. I feel really comfortable with her at the helm, always wanting to help and please in a sincere kind and caring way. Federica and Shannon are the doctor's Assistants and where does he get these personal, capable staff members is beyond me. Their gracious persona, and for real caring attitude is very comforting. They made me forget what I was there for. I am scheduled for a cleaning with their Hygienist and have not yet met her, but I've seen her usher her patients out with warmth, and genuine feelings of care, so I am sure, she will be added to my happiness with Smile Design. The process of placing an upper bridge and full implants took a lot longer than I thought. The doctor was kind enough, but very quiet and hard to understand. He did not tell me what he was doing before he did it. My teeth came out rather nice. I am pleased with them, although I do think they were placed a bit off so that my bite is not quite right and is causing some difficulty. I did find that they were very pricey . In one matter I had to reschedule an appointment and the doctor told me I was responsible for $1500 to pay for the rescheduled appointment. read more

Dr Bondar most ethical dentist I've seen in years. He took the time to make sure my smile was just right. He takes his job to to heart. I have been going to several different dentists and unfortunately they do not have the same morals. I have been going to Dr. Bondar for over 6 years. All of my previous dental work that was over 20 years old needed to be repaired. We made a plan and addressed the many teeth that needed to be restored . His office runs like a brand new car, no problems. Timely, professtional and a great staff. He is the only dentist that I have encountered that takes his time with injections to reduce discomfort, somthing that is appreciated. He is very knowledgeable and has the latest equipment. Just completed three implants with Dr. Bondar and I am very pleased with the result!! If you are looking for dentures and/or implants, I highly recommend you go in for a consultation. He gives an honest opinion and is willing to work with what you expect. About two years ago I had the good fortune to meet up with Dr. Bondar and his excellent practice. I just had my second and third implant completed, plus had him reconstruct a tooth which had become chipped and worn. I am very impressed and pleased. I will explain why. Dr. Bondar is conservative. In other implants I've had done in the past, a healing period for the post of six to eight weeks has been the usual. Dr. Bondar prefers to be on the safe side, especially in instances which involve bone grafting, so he requires a four-month healing period. He explained his reasons for this and they made perfect sense. When it came time for the particular implant to be installed, the fine details of matching it to my bite were accomplished with complete accuracy. Dr. Bondar's staff is professional, friendly, and wonderful. He has shown a serious concern for providing excellence while at the same time keeping costs as reasonable as possible. I had to have a full set of implants done because of various health issues and found this dentist to be very well respected in the field, I was very happy with him and his staff from the very first visit all very friendly, polite and kind. The service was excellent and making my appointments was very easy as the scheduling with the office was very flexible and accommodating with my limited schedule. Any review that is negative or casts dispersions should be taken with a huge amount of salt and with the understanding that there must be more to the story! I travelled 45 minutes to make my appointments because his expertise and service level were unequalled by any other office. Very affordable treatment plan as well, so worth a call or in person visit before you make any decisions. I'm very happy with my new choppers, they work great and look terrific, my family thinks so as well ;) I can't sing their praises loud enough! Do yourself a favor and make that call or visit, before wasting time and resources on a less qualified and less talented dentist. Good luck. read more

I came to smile design after loosing 4 of my bottom front teeth after being hit in the face with a 2x6. As a woman I was devistated by this, it affected my ability to live life normally as my selfesteem and my feelings of being a beautiful women in my eyes were smashed away in loosing the smile that people always complemented me on. I Found Smile Design on the internet and with excitement I told my husband that this place sounded like the place i needed to go. The web site answered lots of questions and gave me real hope that it would be done painless and with out me having to spend months without my smile. My first appointment was a free conceltation and it was amazing I felt comfort. I felt and heard the confidence that the staff and Dr Bondar had in reashuring me that I was in good hands and that I woldnt have to go all summer with no smile. His implants included a temp bridge cemented on the day the implants were put in and i could eat and talk and sleep with out anyone noticing that i had ever had missing teeth :) In fact They also reshape and whiten teeth so if I wanted I could have a newer better smile and cofidence. My apointment came and as nervous as I was fearing the worse, they walked in with smiles they laughed and comforted me. The 2 1/2 hours I was there getting implants was Painless !!! I was awake the whole time and its was unlike any dental appointment I had ever had in my life. Besides some swelling and the feeling of a bruse in my jaw area I was walking out the door and home resting that day. The very next morning I was suprised I personally had very little pain I needed no pain meds and I was out talking w family and smiling again. In 3 days time I had NO pain No discomfort and I couldnt tell this was not my very own real teeth!! WOW I was so happy excited and I just couldnt wait to do all the things ive been hiding from since the injury. I now had a temp smile that was just as beautiful as my real smile was :) I made the choice to whiten to give me have a million dollar smile I also had them shape two of my real teeth to make me look better. Every appointment I had was completly enjoyable the Staff from the front desk to the assistants and Dr Bondar always everytime made me feel like I was important that they cared and Ive never had a dental office give me this kind of feeling. As someone that is always apprehensive and nervous about going to the dentist, I can honestly say that Smile Design Center is the best dentist office in the area! I've been going here for years and wouldn't even think about going anywhere else. The office is always super clean, up to date with the nicest and latest equipment, and has a warm, comfortable atmosphere. They have a very modern feel, and the combination of the relaxing music and the extremely friendly receptionist & office manager Leigh-Anne, you are put at ease right away. Dr. Bondar's assistants, Kathryn and Chelsea, are both very friendly, sweet, and gentle. They make the whole process very easy and comfortable. I always go in expecting to be miserable the whole time (let's face it- no one ever WANTS to go to the dentist) and I always leave feeling relaxed and happy. Dr. Bondar is very gentle, and is great at communicating with you about any issues or any procedures you may undergo. He is very understanding about any nervousness you may have, and will work with you to make sure you are comfortable. I'm moving a couple hours away from my current location in a few months, and don't trust any other office with my dental health. I plan on making the trip a couple times a year for my checkups! THAT'S how good they are! The entire office is superior than any other I have been in before. The staff are all people that care about you, and will remember the little things going on in your life (even with visits only every 6 months!). I highly recommend giving them a try- it's worth it! I had houses in four states and in various locations in each state so I have been to many dentists in my travels. I honestly have to say this is by far my favorite. The entire staff is always friendly and respectful. It's spotlessly clean. Dr Bondar is truly a dental artist! He did my veneers 10 years ago. I've moved a few times since and every dentist or hygienist I have seen since have said they are the best they have every seen. People are shocked if for some reason they find out I have them. They look amazing! My husband has retired and we bought a house at Hampton beach. I wanted to have all of doctors in Hampton so I tried one and didn't like it, then another that was okay but I decided to go back to Smile Design Center where I feel I get the best care and the 20 minute drive is certainly worth it. read more

To start, the fact that I am taking the time to submit a review , speaks volumes. I am a self admitted Ortho phobic .. meaning = dread dentist visits. I had to have a root canal done, was referred to an endodontist in the area.. did not feel comfortable with this office/doctor. So, i searched the web, and found Dr. Bondar. What a great find. I moved to Rye a couple of years ago and recently decided it was time to look for a new dentist in the area. I initially went to Dr. Bondar for a tooth extraction and implant. During the process I talked with Dr. Bondar about replacing my veneers because I was not happy with them. Dr. Bondar explained, in clear detail, what replacing my veneers would involve. I decided to take a chance and have my upper veneers replaced. The initial procedure is now complete and I must say Dr. Bondar is an artist! I am so happy with Dr. Bondar's work that I am having veneers put on my bottom teeth. I am on my way to having the smile that I have always dreamed of. I highly recommend Dr. Bondar. I discovered the Small Design Center through an online search in my area of Portsmouth NH, did the research (I'm a market research professional), made an appointment for a consultation, and have been completely delighted in every way. So I'm posting this review because I know the power of word of mouth and how valuable it is since that's my line of work. With everything -- from my initial conversation, scheduling, directions, access to offices, parking, friendliness, professionalism, insurance and paperwork, all the way through to referrals, follow up -- and most importantly to me the doctor's excellent skills and willingness to thoroughly discuss the options and answer all my questions. My oral situation was complicated and together we came up with a comprehensive plan (including coordinating orthodontia) and are about 2/3 of the way through and I'm thrilled with the results so far. Totally natural looking which took a bit of art and science and I really appreciate the custom approach. Highly recommend this practice -- the best dentistry I've ever come across.
