Steve was very helpful in helpful me figure out exactly what I needed for my install. He kept in constant communication and arrived to my house on time. Hands down the nicest guy! Super responsive on Yelp. I asked for a quote, and he responded within an hour. Easy to communicate with, very prompt and professional. I actually had asked for a quote last year, but did not get around to getting it done. Came back this year, he was able to fit me in within a few days, just had to wait on the part order to arrive. Remember when businesses used to respond to enquiries in a professional fashion, answer all your questions, and then do the work as promised with excellent communication and workmanship, as well as fair pricing? That was my experience with Steve and Sacramento Mobile Hitch. He's like a breath of fresh air in a world gone crazy. (Sorry to be dramatic but I just spent a wasted half hour on the phone with Wells Fargo - that is in addition to the first waisted fifteen minutes inside their automated phone system pushing buttons and then the wait for a live person. Steve was a pleasure to work with. He contacted us by phone and followed through with the plans we made. We tow our Honda behind our RV. The current Roadmaster hitch was 5 years old and due for a rebuild. Steve suggested some modification but then called by to let us know that our Honda was too old to qualify - darn. He came to the RV park removed the hitch, took it back and worked quickly to get the parts necessary to rebuild before the holiday weekend. He brought it back Thursday morning so we will be all set to leave on Tuesday morning. From initial contact (while we were still in transit to Sacramento) to complete was just over a week. Some of the delay was on our end due to other plans. I highly recommend Steve for your connection needs. read more

Every reason you should call Sacramento Mobile Hitch if you need a hitch attached to your vehicle -You message and will receive a polite, timely reply where you can discuss estimates and such. -They come to YOU! -When they get there you will get a text (when I came out he was already setting up and getting ready to go, that was nice), you go outside, a look at the hitch, pay the man, go back about your business. -When the jobs done: you get a text, go out to ur yard, grab ur key, say thank you, go back inside. I don't write a lot of reviews, well actually this is my first time on YELP. I had to write a review because I was very impressed with Sacramento Mobile Hitch (Steve). I Just bought a BMW X5 so it was very important to me who would install a Stealth Hitch that I had purchased online. I knew that the rear fascia was going to have to be removed , but after communicating with Steve I felt very comfortable with him doing the work. I had called other hitch installers and the response I was getting was that it was going to take almost all day and they were charging an arm and a leg..YUCK! The best thing that makes it convenient with Sacramento Mobile Hitch on my end is that I didn't have to have someone take me to drop off my car and then have to go pick it up. The BEST of all is that Steve was here no more than 2 hrs, he was professional, came with a mask (COVID) and had the best price in town :) I've had hitches put on my other vehicles in the past and by far this was my best experience. Steve did a phenomenal job on my 2008 ML350. Mercedes required special wiring and an elaborate factory OEM hitch to benefit from full towing capacity. Add on hitches don't have nearly the capacity. He was able to overcome numerous issues after I found a salvaged factory hitch to retrofit along with added brake controller. Even dealer and MB specialists were stymied, but Steve overcame and now I don't need to buy a new tow vehicle. Total, can-do professional and I was very fortunate to have his help (and at a most reasonable price!). read more

When I went to pick it up I was charger for packing the bearings and replacing a seal which they said had nothing to do with the tire wear. The communication was poor from start to finish. We were repeatedly told that someone would call us with updates, and those calls simply never happened. Each time, my husband ended up having to chase down information himself. If you're going to tell a customer you'll call, then call. The final straw came when the awning installation was completed. My husband picked up the RV, brought it home, and discovered the awning didn't work. After all the waiting and follow-up, he then had to take the RV back so they could fix their own installation mistake. Nobody expects perfection, but customers do expect basic communication and for the work to be done correctly before a vehicle is returned. We can be patient with delays. We can be patient with parts shortages. What is difficult to overlook is having to repeatedly follow up for information and then discovering the repair wasn't completed properly in the first place. We invested a significant amount of money in this project and expected a much higher level of customer service and quality control. Unfortunately, this experience left us with little confidence in the company, and we will not be returning.

I called them back again and told them the problem was not fixed and to return. They came out on the 30th to try again. The tech looked for codes which there were none thrown. Then he said it was the chasis batteries and replaced them. Still would not work. Then he said the house betteries were bad and should replace those. Well the house batteries have nothing to do with the engine or chasis power. So they replaced those. After all said and done and with a bill of almost $3,000.00 the problem was not fixed. I told them to get the batteries since it was not the issue. Also they marked them up 40% from cost. The tech wanted to come Friday and i went to Chico and would be back. He text me Monday and said he was on his way and would be there by 9 AM. I responded that i could not make that time but when i return, i will take out batteries and give to them and they could adjust my bill. When i returned to my RV, i had realized they came there without my presence, broke into my battery storage bay and took the batteries and put old ones back. They did not hook up a possitive cable and the battery hold down brackets. They dented the door, broke the entry latch etc. I called the owner and explained to him that what he did was not right. His response was do what i need to do. So a police report filed and BAR will be contacted as well. I then called Cummins West. They came out, ran the codes and determined was a loose ground wire. Fixed problem with 10 minutes and $300.00. Whoever uses this shop beware as they have no clue on how to work on diesel motorhomes.

Nick's technicians completed the job within an hour. The price was very reasonable. Nick's shop also offers services that are related to any heavy duty diesel and gas truck engines. The shop also offers services such as electrical work that are related to the RV house itself. Some of these services can also be offered in mobile. I hired him to…read morereplace the battery on my 2010 Honda Civic and inspect several parts that a dealer had claimed were leaking and needed to be replaced. He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. I am very happy with the service he provided and the price I paid! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. I was having issues with a strong exhaust smell in the cab of my…read more2013 Chevy Equinox, and was in search for a trustworthy mechanic to take a look and hopefully repair any problems before an upcoming SoCal roadtrip that I was taking with my family. I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

Prices were much more reasonable in comparison to dealership. I was informed of the costs prior to any work being done. This is my second time trusting stress free auto with my car. They did a wonderful job on my break repair service last year. I was kept updated and informed of their work progress. I would encourage them to continue with the updated communication to customers as it does help ease your mind. I would recommend this business.

Found this shop based on the great reviews and I can see why they have earned this reputation…read more First time here and overall great experience. Made an appointment and dropped my car off. It was a quick turnaround, ready for pickup the same day. We prepaid for the part and expected to pay for labor at pickup. Instead we were surprised to be handed a check for $200. Turns out that we had paid for the wrong part and what we needed was actually cheaper. They had every opportunity to pocket the difference but instead they did the right thing and earned a returning customer. This level of integrity is rare. Highly recommend.
