I chose boudoir as I havent done it before and I was feeling not so great about my body recently. I am SO glad I did it! Since i dont live in Philly I booked a hotel nearby and made a weekend of it. I was the first shoot of the day so I arrived at the studio the same time as my photographer Shannon and she was so great! We got in and got settled quickly then talked through the "why" of why I chose boudoir then we went through the items i brought and some that they had to pick my outfits. I opted to have them do my makeup since i pretty much suck at it and it was much cheaper than going out to buy all the items I would need. Shannon did a great job at it and I kept "my face on" the rest of the day and got so many compliments. Then on to the actual photos. I felt so comfortable in the presence of a stranger dressing down to lingerie and this is mostly because Shannon has such a great personality. She makes you feel comfortable. The poses were fun and she demonstrated each one and answered questions as we went through. i get kinda awkward with my hands so it was nice to have someone re adjust them and make sure every piece of hair was in the right place. it really showed in the photos i received! I had given myself a limit ahead of time as to how many pictures i would purchase so that I wouldn't go crazy and it was easy to go crazy. they sent me about 90 photos both in color and black and white and I loved a lot of them. Those i didnt love wasnt anyone's fault but my own.. I didnt love the third outfit i chose for myself and I didnt work on my "sexy face" as the website suggest so i felt some looked a little awkward, kinda like me trying to hard to be sexy. Overall i have some great shots from the shoot and some awesome birthday memories! I got the digital prints (they send them in color and in black and white) so i cant wait to make canvases of them to display in my walk in closet. Now every time i go to get dressed i'll be reminded of how beautiful i am stripped down.

The experience starts with the studio space, which is stunning. Danielle came down to great me and she was warm and friendly. The whole makeup and hair process was effortless. Although this was my first time being professionally photographed as well as my first time having my makeup professionally done, it was a great experience. Siobhan had my images up quickly and her work is so outstanding that the most difficult part is narrowing down the images! The album I chose was leather bound and embossed. It was packaged up with a bow, indicative of the attention to detail these ladies have. I've recommended them to all of my friends and I'm looking forward to working with them again. They expect the nerves and anxiety to be going, so first your offered a little champagne to relax, which I gladly accepted. Siobhan helps choose your outfits, gets a feel for what your looking for, super casual in her adorable studio, and then hair and makeup is done by Danielle. (Which by the way, if you've done some shopping you know their prices at doll face are the best- I mean awesome packages, tons of pictures that you have free access to, and makeup included with lashes! So worth every penny!) Anyway, you've been having girl talk for the past 2 hours, with the champagne that went down like water, and I'm so comfortable I forget what I'm about to do! Not to mention, looking in the mirror after being all done up, I WANTED to do the shoot; I felt so pretty! My makeup was mind blowing, wow! I wished I could've brought Danielle with me to Mexico for my wedding day! By this time, I'm relaxed and feel like I've known these girls, for, forever. As far as the ideas for the shoot go, Siobhan nailed it when I told her my hubby was into motorcycle racing and I wanted to pose with his bike helmet. These were def his favorite ones. My results were jaw dropping, I couldn't even believe it was me! She had taken so many beautiful classy shots that it was really hard to choose just 20! And wait until you see them edited! LOL. She even honored my ridiculous request to scale my bumpy nose down a bit and shade out some spider veins that were nearly invisible. My, now, husband adored his wedding gift! The album is beautiful, with nice thick pages, and you even get to help approve of the layout of the pages! I wasn't expecting too much of a reaction out of him, since he's really a man of few words and VERY hard to excite, and his reaction was worth more than anything else to me. However, a few days after signing the contract, I discovered that the location was holding a separate event. When I realized my mistake and wanted to cancel, I was informed that I would lose a non-refundable deposit of $75. Despite this setback, I decided to proceed with the appointment and remained flexible when the photographer needed to reschedule due to weather conditions. I also accommodated a change in our time slot on the rescheduled day. After the shoot, the photographer sent me an album of the photos. Unfortunately, I found the album difficult to access and use. Although I remember selecting a few pictures, I completely forgot about selecting more photos until we began planning this year's Easter Bunny Pictures. It was then that I realized I never received last year's photos. Upon reaching out to the photographer, I was informed that all photos are deleted after six months. I was further told that since I hadn't chosen any photos, none were delivered and subsequently deleted. It is disheartening to have paid $175 and received nothing, not even a single photo. The photographer claims to have reached out, possibly through Facebook, but I do not use thier messaging platform to communicate often, I only discovered this one follow up message now. I will never understand how someone can accept $175, deliver nothing, delete the photos they took and think that is an acceptable way to handle this type of situation. The deleted pictures were from my daughters frist Easter, and now they are gone.
