The real strength of the church, however, is its focus on community and caring relationships. People are warm and genuine and there are lots of opportunities for people to get together to know each other and grow in their faith. The building is large and provides plenty of space for ministry, including a thriving nursery school. The leadership recently conducted a professional survey of the church, and our church scored highest on worship, friendliness, and leadership. It also showed that we need to do a better job of spreading the good news of Jesus outside our church walls. We're not perfect people, and we have a culture of humility that pervades the congregation. In my experience, Hillside is a place where you can come as you are and find acceptance and love. The organ is placed to beautifully balance the architecture as are the arches and celestially painted blue walls.
