We met our guide at the parking lot a little before 4pm on Saturday. We had the most amazing experience. We stopped in 3 different spots/vortexes. The first we did a small mediation. The second we did an offering to the land. And the third we setup our yoga mats and had the most amazing yoga/sound healing experience. I truly felt the energies from the land. We did the 2 hour tour and that was plenty for us, mostly yoga/mediation, just a little hiking, all amazing!!!

I am rating the 5 day retreat. My mother and I enjoy hiking and yoga and thought this would be a…read moregreat experience. The first day our flight was delayed and we were running about 15 (!) minutes behind and, so, despite calling and telling them, missed their shuttle to the first day meet and greet. The next morning we went out on a hike. It was raining and very steep and slick and, at 5,000 feet, we needed to go slower. Finally, tired of being rushed and asking to slow down, I told them to go on and they did. (I have never been a guide myself, but having been on guided hikes I've found the leader usually wants to keep track of the people for whom they are responsible.) We found a less steep path and missed another group meeting, as they had it at the top and did not wait to meet back up with us (no flexibility.) It was raining and 40*F and we did not go to the outdoor yoga that day for that reason. My main reason for the low rating is that they were not prepared for inclement weather and were not flexible in any way. It was about 40* and raining the entire week. They did "manage" to get an indoor space at the Hilton Resort at Bell Rock for yoga, which led me to believe they actually have no affiliation with the hotel? However, it wasn't raining in the afternoons which is when we went hiking, instead of staying in and doing yoga then. I was disappointed, to say the least, and would not recommend this retreat, unless you can control the weather. I love Sedona and the Hilton at Bell Rock and have stayed there before and will stay there again. This review is purely for the Vita Pura Yoga retreat. I gave the second star, because I imagine if it was typical Sedona weather and not raining every day, the lack of flexibility would not have been an issue.

Allistar (excuse my bad spelling) did my massage and he was great 10/10 massage session. Super knowledgeable guy, very easy to talk to and you can tell he loves his job. I was also lucky to have Lisa take care if my facial and brow sculpting. She was very special and I was able to connect with her in the short period of time. Lisa took her time with my brows and it shows how hard she worked at getting my brows perfect. The spa overall was clean and the people who worked there were friendly. I'm grateful to have had such a wonderful experience. I've been to many spas so I know what I'm saying and I know what to look for. Massage therapist Bryan was terrific as was Karen who gave me a great facial. When she left for me to get dressed she turned on the light and left. I was horrified to find a large dead cockroach lying next to me on the bed. I contacted Todd the manager and shared my experiences. He merely said that they have regular extermination service and he would call them. When I told him that I didn't think I would return he didn't apologize, offer me anything to compensate and just repeated that he would call the exterminator. Do not go here!
