If you're going to sacred rites for a piercing I do not recommend it whatsoever. their hospitality skills are out the fucking window. they are rude.. and the lady who does them or atleast the lady we saw had no clue what she was even telling us and completely sent us to a different tattoo shop because of her lack in piercing knowledge... everything she told us that could not be done was wrong she clearly had no clue what she was even saying.. very displeased with the service we recieved. will not be back again. the guy who use to do the piercings there was amazing I've gotten most of my piercings their but will not be back after that experience! this was yesterday 8/26/2022. read more

I wanted to make sure to leave my experience here, because this review was well deserved. From the second I walked in the shop, I was helped by the most professional and friendly people. I went in to get a second nostril piercing, and Khrys was incredible. She made sure I got exactly what I wanted, was comfortable, and she was just all around great at her job. Not only was she professional, but she was very laid-back, which is such a great trait to have, especially when you're dealing with people and needles. I came in as a walk-in and they saw me faster than I expected. This isn't the first time I have been a patron of Sacred Rites, and it certainly won't be the last. I went here while on vacation with my friend to get our noses pierced. Robbie had told us he'd do or piercings, that he was new. We were okay with it because we figured how hard was it to mess up a nose piercing? I realized after getting mine done why my friend was so nervous and almost backed out. He was shaking no the whole time!!! Not something you want someone with a sharp needle about to stab you with doing. He got her bar in, went to screw the ball on, and dropped it..not once, but twice. After my nose healed I went to look for jewelry. I was told I was pierced with a 16g needle. So naturally I look for 16g jewelry and can't find anything. I visited two malls and 8 stores with no such luck. I ended up having to put a different size in and my nose hurt so bad due to the size difference. Or so I'm guessing. I kept my nose cleaned the way I was instructed. I suggest if you're going for a piercing to ask someone whose experienced. Robbie was nice, but not experienced and too nervous. I believe he also pierced us with too big of a needle. read more

I walked in a couple weeks ago for regular ear piercings, one on each lobe. Summer helped me and she did a great job; she took the time to make sure they were symmetrical, and she's also really funny so that made the experience more enjoyable. Went to sacred rites to get my nose ring changed from a stud to a hoop, that i had got pierced about 3 months prior. I had been recommended this place by many different people so decided to get it changed here. Went in and the piercer was not very welcoming but i didn't think anything of it, she got the hoop and cleaning supplies to change my ring, she took my stud out and for about 2 minutes was shoving the hoop into my nose, when it was clearly not going in easy. i had to have her stop after a couple minutes because the pain was just getting to be to much. the piercer never once stopped or said let's take a break or just flat out try and fix the issue. instead just left. she went and got a smaller gauge hoop which went in easy, and told me "oh yeah i think i was trying to put the wrong size hoop in". my piercing was left with a bump for 2 weeks after due to lots of irritation. i'm sure this place does do pretty good this was just my experience. read more

Went in to get my first tattoo and the girl who greeted me at the front counter was really rude, I think overall the staff could be a lot more patient with their customers, especially for a newbie like me. The girl I had talked to told me that I was going to "hate" my tattoo and the placement I chose but she didn't offer any suggestions or insight as to what would be better. I then talked to Robbie, the artist, and he was a bit better than the girl but still didn't really make me feel like he was listening to what I wanted, he just kinda pushed what he thought would be best. Overall it was very rushed and they made me feel like I shouldn't even have come in the first place. In the end I just decided to go somewhere else where they would listen to my input and help me design a tattoo that I would love. Would not recommend to people who are getting a tattoo for the first time, you should go somewhere where they will listen to what you want and make you feel comfortable. read more

Only giving a two star because cleanliness of shop but had a horrible experience. Chose this shop while I was on vacation because of all the excellent reviews they were given. Went in to get my nipples pierced and what a mistake that was. Hope was my piercer and assured me that although I had smaller anatomy she would still be able to pierce me just fine. she had to pierce one of them twice because she couldn't get it right. Although when I was finished I didn't think they looked right I figured it might just be swelling. The following day i was back home and knew something wasn't right. You know what they say no one knows your body but you. Went to a local trusted tattoo shop and was told that one of my piercings was far off and incorrectly placed and pierced and that if I didn't take out the other one out as well my body was going to reject it and result in my nipple splitting in half because of how incorrectly pierced it was. Additionally was told the wrong jewelry was used as well. Luckily I reacted quickly enough to take them both out and will have to get them re pierced but upset that i had to go through all the pain and stress. If they didn't feel comfortable piercing me I would of preferred being told that vs going through all the trouble & on top of that wasting my money. So beware going here to get piercings , just wanted to share my experience ! read more

Cleanest and most professional tattoo and piercing parlor I've seen! Great artists! I have a friend who goes to Ashley, my work was done by James. They are both outstanding! Ignore posts from cheap people. Remember, the time an artist needs to spend hired by you, and the time spent on the extra details, size, and colors of a tattoo are all billable hours. "Not so fast"... At first I thought this shop was truly different. I brought both my wife and my brother in for tattoos. Both came out fine and there were no issues so I decide its my turn. I start out by speaking with Ashley. I explained in detail what I was looking to have done and where I wanted it. She looked at my arm and came up with a verbal idea. She gave me an estaminet of $450-$500, asked for a deposit and said she'd draw something up and email it to me. I then researched her and came in the next day to leave her said deposit. She informed me that the price could then go up "8,9, or more". Days later she sent what I thought was a good looking piece and she explained that it would cost $800. Taken back by the almost 40% price increase I tried to reason with her. She wouldn't entertain the thought. They must be so busy here year round that they can turn away business...a repeat customer. In closing, I wouldn't use this shop unless your willing to play into their money game. Plenty of places in the area I'd really look closely at before settling with this one. read more

Unless you're a part of their "clique", don't expect to feel welcome. Nearly every employee of this shop is incredibly stand off-ish. Every time the owner spoke he just seemed like an asshole. They aren't friendly, at all. The work is subpar in comparison to other artists who have tattooed me. I wouldn't go back to them for any services. read more
