I usually get massages at least once per month, and my massage with Christopher was one of the best I've ever had! He was great about checking in with me, applying just the right amount of pressure, and finding ALL the terrible knots in my back. He's the only one who's been able to work all the knots out and make me feel completely refreshed and relaxed. I actually usually have female massage therapists, but would 100% go with Chris again if ever back int he area. The spa is nicely set up, but no robes or anything--you wait in the sitting area and have tea/water and then the therapist brings you back to your room. Definitely check this place out if you're in the mood for a massage, and go with Chris--you will not be disappointed!!!! read more

Paid for ultimate package manicure and pedicure. My hands are not washed and I had to ask twice to clean under my nails. The pedicure was just as Luke Warm , calluses not removed. They did say oh come back, didn't bother. Very expensive waste of time. read more

They have you pay $10 extra for deep pressure, which I've never heard of. The treatment was not deep, probably the lightest massage I've ever had--even after requesting for more pressure multiple times. Also there are non-RMTs here, which I found out after my treatment so I wasn't able to claim on insurance, which means $270 out of pocket. The attendant literally did nothing to fix the situation, she just argued that I should have requested an RMT. I've never not had an RMT treat at a spa, or they usually would tell you the customer that this person is not registered in case you need to submit to insurance. I picked this place because of the reviews, and I almost never write a low review, but I'm just very disappointed. Additional Note: I never booked a non-registered massage, I was automatically assigned a non registered RMT for a signature massage. The emails the owner mentioned were sent went to spam. I'm just surprised for such a high end place how this was handled, and that they have non-RMTs at all, charging very high fees. Regardless, the massage itself was very disappointing. The fact that I couldn't claim it on insurance made it even more disappointing. read more

Excellent spa services as well as customer service. I didn't feel like full body massage so when I saw on Sacred Stone Spa's site that they had foot massages available, I immediately booked. For some reason, I thought of those Asian places where you sit in a massage chair and they go to town on your feet. My plan was to sit in the chair, get my feet worked on and answer some work emails. Obviously, I assumed wrong and this was a lying down massage meant to be more relaxing. I ended up falling asleep and getting zero work done. We were lied to, please stay away from this spa. We called and booked with this spa as another spa didn't have RMT ( Registered massages therapist). We called and e-mailed to confirm with the spa multiple times. The day we arrived everything seemed to be normal we filled out paper work that stated we will be working with and RMT and I was just so excited to have a relaxing day. After our service was completed and went to pay and saw the bill and it didn't have a registered # for RMT so I asked the gal what happened and she said oh sorry we don't have RMT's here. I asked her why am i paying for a fee for RMT when there isn't one? She told me that I had to call the manager to short this out as she doesn't know. I called and called with no response until we had to get the BBB involved and still no results as she will not return our money for the false misleading information. read more

This is basically two 5-star reviews! One from me and one from my boyfriend! This spa is amazing! I came here to relax on my boyfriend's birthday and they were more than accommodating. We had Jess for our RMT, back to back as we switched services (there were no two RMT available at the same time). Therefore, I decided to have salt body scrub when my BF was with the RMT. I had Robert do my body scrub service. He was super friendly, made me feel at ease, and was very gentle. It wasn't long until my boyfriend finished his massaged and had his facial for men. He was so relaxed and his skin looked great. Since we were just down the street from the restaurant, they let us take a shower (they had 2 separate ones). Their showers were relaxing, fully equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, makeup remover, cotton swabs, hair dryer etc etc. We were both so grateful as we didn't need to go back to our cabin and go out again. This place was amazing for the price I paid. (2x 75 min massages for 200 bucks!!!) I normally prefer more pressure than most people and Sacred Stone was definately able to help! I booked the July (2015) special: 30m infrared sauna + 75m massage + 30m facial. My masseuse, Dawn, was fantastic. She conducted a brief consult to determine my preferences and any areas of concern, making great suggestions for my treatment. The aroma therapy component was subtle and very relaxing, tho FYI they have samples at check in/reception if you want to sample before choosing. The massage was great, very thorough and again, very tailored to my needs. Dawn could feel the tension in various muscles and increased pressure in those areas. The facial was also exceptionally tailored to my preferences and needs, gentle cleaning and some calming elements to soothe some damage from all that lovely Tofino wilderness I've been exposing myself to all week. Will definitely head back to Sacred Stone next time I visit Tofino. Lastly price, the package was $175 for the 2h and 15m, veeeery reasonable! The spa is beautiful, clean, and posh. Had the pleasure of meeting Angela, a massage therapist, at the spa. I've had shoulder surgery to repair a slap tear, and have limited mobility. I've seen many physio therapist and massage therapist, but no one that compares to Angela! She really knows her stuff. I could not believe the amount of stress she was able to relieve in a short amount of time. I give 5 stars because of her, and the facilities. Very clean, relaxing atmosphere all around. I semi- regularly go for massages back home and let me tell you, I enjoyed my massage with Jess much better than the "5 star* spa I go to back home. The staff at Sacred Stone are so friendly and helpful. The spa is beautiful and modern. I really enjoyed the decor and essential oils in my massage room and throughout the spa. My back pain was addressed and soothed. Jess even massaged my feet upon request. At the end of the appointment, she showed my partner and I different stretched we could do to alleviate the pain. These people are not licensed period! We were scammed out of our money after booking a weekend trip to Tofino. Prior to going we called multiple spa and Sacred stone confirmed that they had registered massage therapist available. Only after we received our services and paid were we told that we would not receive a physical receipt and that the people who work their are not licensed registered massage therapist. We complained and asked to speak to a manager but no owner/ manager contacted us until we logged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Check out our complaint with them online! The owner first offered to reimburse me as it was my birthday and then said she couldn't afford anyone else. Long story short they refused to do the right thing and reimburse us under $500. It has been an awful experience as they continue to say show us proof via email when they have proof that we originally called them to confirm. Disgusting customer treatment by owner/ manager. I would recommend not going there as the staff are not licensed or therapists as posted on their website. If you do go ask to see proof of certification so that you don't get a random transient giving you a massage! read more
