Before beginning this hypnotherapy work, I was deeply afraid of money, afraid to make it, afraid to have it. I unconsciously associated money with betrayal, loss, and spiritual danger. The idea of trading my life force for survival in a system that didn't feel aligned felt suffocating. I also carried ancestral and personal wounds where money was used for control or harm. In my past, someone who represented evil was obsessed with money, which made me reject it entirely as a form of protection. Through our 9 sessions, Audra and I slowly dismantled those beliefs. I booked a massage with her first, which was AMAZING..but also a great way to get comfortable with her and learn more about hypnotherapy. Audra is the best massage therapist I have ever had! I originally went to her because I had a minor injury in my ankle from playing tennis. And she did a great job of relieving tension from my ankle muscles as well as giving me tips about exercises to do to make them stronger. Since then I have been going to her regularly. She has such a welcoming and soothing studio and such a wonderful spirit and attitude that immediately puts your body at ease and helps your mind to relax. I have been going to Audra several years now for massages and each time I leave feeling rejuvenated and peaceful. Her room is very clean and inviting. She welcomes you in with tea and water. Audra then goes over how your body is feeling and if there are specific places you want her to focus on. I love the choices of aromatherapy she offers, tuning, and hot stone as part of her massages. Every visit is similar but different depending on what you and your body needs at that time. I do CrossFit and have shoulder and back pain that she's helped with immensely. Audra is amazing! My first massage with her was back in 2012 when she had a Groupon/Living Social deal. Ever since then, I haven't been able to get that massage out of my head! I've tried other places but none have lived up to the services she provides. Now that I'm no longer a starving grad student (and I have insurance!) I was finally able to return to Audra to see if she could help with some nagging low back pain. The massage was just as good (if not better!) than I remember. I have been to at least 15 or so LMP's over the years. Audra is ones of the best! As someone who sits at a desk all day, I get all sorts of issues in my back, legs, arms, hands (typing), and stress from work. Audra's massages have helped all these issues and more immensely. And they are the most relaxing massages ever with hot stones, cupping, auromatherapy, and hot pads. I bought a Groupon deal for this, after I bought it I couldn't get an appointment for months because I bought it at a discount through Groupon, two hours before my appointment I had to cancel because of work, I expected for them not to return my money and that was fine except for the fact that they charged me an extra 25.00! My wife and I have been seeing Audra for several years. She has helped us each with many aches and pains through massage therapy. She is accomplished in many techniques (deep tissue, swedish, etc) and weaves them together in a unique and relaxing experience. This is my first "real" full body massage. In the past I've had facials and body wraps with some massage in the past and they were excellent. But in comparison, Audra was more thorough and used versatile techniques; she used various ways of making me feel safe and relaxed. Warm and contoured bed made me want to sleep. The massage included use of turning forks, hot stones, aromatherapy, oils, and more. I highly recommend and encourage hypnotherapy care at Something Sacred with Audra. The last 5 years have been a challenge for me; I got married, got pregnant right away, broke my ankle and had surgery, switched jobs, moved, welcomed another baby and when he was 4 months old (January), I received a breast cancer diagnosis. I finished chemotherapy and radiation treatment in July and in late September, I knew I was going to need help to get to a better mental and physical place. I tried talking to therapists and psychiatrists who her helped a little but, I needed something more; something was still unaddressed it seemed. I received one of Audra's emails promoting her hypnotherapy practice and felt that this was something so seemingly radical to me that it had to help in some way. What I didn't know is just how much it would end up helping me. I have seen Audra many times now, having lived here in Seattle for two years. In Atlanta, I received semi-regular massage, and it was a nightmare finding just the right massage therapist; but once I find one, I stick with them. I am always skeptical and critical, and my expectations were not very high based on a group-on; however, I was blown away by the experience. First, the space is very inviting and very comforting. It really gives a vibe that allows total relaxation. Audra offers water, tea, and aromatherapy. There is something to be said for the space you receive massages in, and this one really compliments the service. Second, she sits you down and really tries to understand what you need and where focus should be; she then incorporates that through location, products used, and type of massage. For example, I most recently saw her a few days before a half marathon to focus on some training pain that I had in my legs. She tailored the massage with an Arnica blend to reduce my swelling, and used a more sport-focused massage. The marathon was amazing, my legs did great without the swelling. I have also seen her for tension in my back, and previous swelling issues. One last thing to mention: I am a t1 diabetic, and she is VERY aware and accommodating to my insulin pump during the massage; she even went out of her way to be more knowledgable about my disease. Third, online appointment booking and insurance. YES. If you have never booked appointments this way, it is amazing. I have booked appointments mid-meeting at work, when I knew I was going to need it, haha. On this site, there are often specials, too. Speaking of specials, Audra sends out email messages when she has last minute slots and discounted pricing. I really appreciate that. She can go through insurance, and while I wasn't able to use that option this year, I did last year, and plan to this upcoming year. She really made that a super painless process, even though I know using the insurance puts so much more administrative strain on her end. Paying just a co-pay for a fabulous massage? Yes. The hot stones and tuning forks are a great addition that you usually pay extra for at other places, but are included in her massages; it really completes the experience. If you are on the fence and depend on the real reviews of others (like I really do, I would not have even given her a chance if she did not have so many glowing review previously), then I can honestly tell you that you won't regret this one. She uses aromatherapy, hot stones, and applies just the right pressure. I've seen her for regular Swedish massage and also pre and postnatal massage.
