The previous doc, PA, and NP at Prevene we saw were all knowledgeable but also took the time to listen and do a proper assessment. More often than not, they also thought through root cause possibilities rather than simply looking for a band-aid to slap on via meds or overly simplistic advice. Our last few appointments with the new staff was full of interruptions and more talking than listening, telling me the same thing you could find online or in a book. In August 2024 I called beginning of the month and was able to schedule my appointment two weeks later when I was available without any issues. Upon my arrival I was greated by the front desk and checked in. Within 5 mins I was in the room, my vitals were taken and the nurse was kind. Within 15 mins I was greated by Dr. Jain and along with new doctors who are training. I was able to take my time discuss my issues and concerns and everything was addressed. My follow up appointment was set three weeks later based on my availability. That appointment was yesterday September 2024 and was fantastic spoke to a different nurse who was nice and willing to listen to my concerns followed by time with Dr.Jain. I was very content and satisfied with my overall experience. If you are new to this location or put off by the reviews, request Dr. Jain. You will be very happy with his ability to answer and address issues. His outlook on health and manner of tending to the issues is wonderful. I see many new faces in the office, it seems like they are working towards fixing all of the previous issues addressed in the reviews. When speaking with him i was impressed with the fact that he had already reviewed my blood work and had some suggestions. More importantly he wanted to hear about my concerns and thoughts. He put together a personalized action plan and followed up with a detailed visit summary. Super personable and knows his stuff. The best part is he gives you his personal cell phone and you can just text or call him any time you need. His response is usually super fast. Highlights: Great listener. Knowledgeable. If you ask around the valley, you'll likely find that many physicians select Mayo for their care, and I think that speaks highly of both the medical knowledge and the professionalism of this group. Dr. Patchett is one of those old-school PCPs who spend time with their patients; I've never felt rushed during my visits with him. He also has an additional appointment with the Department of Integrative Medicine and focuses a lot on nutrition and exercise, which is great for preventing disease before it begins. If you have any sort of musculoskeletal pain as well, he practices osteopathic medicine and does manipulations, which my layperson husband described to me as "massage stretching." If you're looking for a new primary care physician and want to focus on wellness, definitely try to get in with Dr. Patchett!

Our daughter has only been sick twice but both times she helped us choose vitamins and probiotics that helped strengthen her versus resorting to the typical store medicines. We love that!
