I decided that is what we should get and am I glad I made that decision. I was so delicious. The crust was nice and thick and the amount of toppings on our veggie pizza - it was like it was made at home. MMMMM. Now, I know it takes a little longer to stop and have a pizza on the road when you are rushing to get to your destination, but seriously call ahead - they'll box it us and you can take it to go. It's worth it. You'll be glad you made that decision. A nice hot, decent meal is definitely a good choice and if you can take a few minutes to appreciate it in the comfort of Tony's Grill why not?

I have celiac disease so can't eat anything wheat-based. I specifically requested no croutons, several times, and was assured there would be no croutons and they would be careful. But, after I had eaten a few bites, there were croutons, buried in the salad. 2. The salad was otherwise awful! It was slathered in a slime-y dressing and it was not crisp and cold like a Caesar salad should be. Generally I will let these kinds of things pass by (except if I had been eating in I would have sent the contaminated salad back immediately) but I wanted my money back. I went by the restaurant a couple of times over the next few days but it was always jammed so I gave up while I was in town. I then requested a refund through their "contact me" page but of course haven't heard back from them that way either.

In my last review, I had thought maybe it's because there are more Asian tourists who like to family-style every meal. Or maybe this is the new trendy thing. Maybe it's a Canadian thing. Here's a new hypothesis: maybe so many of these dishes are so overpriced and everyone wants to try a little bit of everything, so they don't have to feel shame when they start sharing these small plates with each other, the servers give them "permission" to family style. The idea of tapas is great - but these are fancy dishes that don't have much substance to them and it's really hard to split some things 6 ways. At least there were serving ware this time. Finally, this is a special tid-bit to whoever reads this long review: Avoid sitting near the hanging exit sign if you are more than 6 feet tall. My brother-in-law sat under the sign and when he stood up, he knocked his head very strongly against the sign. Not good for safety. Functionality over aesthetics is what I prefer. Plus, who wants to sit UNDER something that has the potential to fall anyway? That never happens you say? Yeah, it happened to my mom. Different day, different story.

The bean salad, although sounding unassuming had a tasty vinegar dressing and was just the right side to go with my sandwich for brunch. Although you can still eat inside, they have also crested two little patio areas for dining al fresca. This is a casual place so don't expect table service other than them bringing you your food when it's ready. Also nice to see that they sell a few items crafted by local artists in the bakery.
