They took my sons favorite stuffed animal for a Flyboarding lesson and let my son ride on the jet ski to "help". These guys were amazing. For the ones that have no experience with it, we were quite scared. Some did not know how to swim, and some were afraid of the water. But after meeting Jeff, everyone's doubt eventually went away. He was one of the most friendliest, laid back instructor anyone can meet. Two of my friends originally backed out, but Jeff did some magic & made them feel comfortable that they both ended up finishing the paddle board session. We were proud of them, but thankful to Jeff for making them feel comfortable. And Jeff was so nice to help us take a group picture. We all took Uber to meet Jeff on the Bayou St. John, and the neighborhood was very peaceful and beautiful. There is no changing room, so make sure to wear appropriate attire. You can store your items at Jeff's SUV. And if you must run to the bathroom, there is a gas station very close by (a few steps away). It was quite cold when we were there for our 11:30 am session, but it eventually got warmer. If you can't swim, a life vest is offered. We all wore life vests, and not one of us fell into the bayou. Paddle boarding was very fun, and easy to learn. Thanks to Jeff for this wonderful experience. I am also offering my apologies for any inconvenience we gave him. Thanks for being patient with us. Highly recommended if you are visiting NOLA to give paddle boarding a try!

But we were able to get ready for the track within 10 minutes. If you look at the map... it's a HUGE track. It's sectioned off, though -- not sure what the tiers and levels are and such, but it's pretty epic. The waiting room has a couple racing games and claw machines, and there are electronic monitors and QR codes for you to sign waivers. When called to the back to prepare to race, there's a 2 minute video, and the helmets are neatly organized on the shelves by size for you to pick from. Once we got outside, we showed our tickets and were told which cars to sit in. They're kind enough to adjust the seat and wheel for you if you aren't comfortable. They broke down what each colored flag means, and we were off! It was fun... and my closed helmet made for some fun acoustics, humming the Mario Kart themes as I cruised down the track. Everyone had a blast -- I braked on my turns because of how I normally drive, so that definitely had me ranking low, but I enjoyed otherwise! I would absolutely do it again, and I need to get back into go-karting more broadly. If you're in the area, definitely pay them a visit!

Instead, we got 2 small bunnies, 2 small hens/roosters, a duck, and 3 miniature donkeys/ponies. As we had also gotten the pony ride package, the kids really did not care at all about seeing the bigger animals. I was assuming we would at least get a little goat, miniature pig, or a furry chicken (based on other petting zoo parties I have been to and other reviews), but we did not get any of that. Additionally, since the only staff member was giving the pony rides, there was no oversight provided over the petting zoo animals. This was ok since everyone was watching their kids, but it made me very concerned for the animals, given the apparent lack of care. The poor small animals also seemed terrified, and I felt bad having them at the party. Next time, I would skip the petting zoo and just get pony rides.

Tickets ran 50$ for kids and 60$ for adults. I know they offered discount coupons and I imagine cheaper pre-event tickets as well. I was so excited, I paid full price and bought as soon as the commercial ended. Your tickets include (2 hour experience): santa letter writing area, a golden ticket, entertainment, hot chocolate (just like the movie, ohhhh it was great), a cookie, character interaction,a real train ride (yep!), a reading of the book, caroling, an up close and personal visit from Mr. C himself and a souvenir silver bell for every rider. Other riders will tell you how magical it was and boy was it, we all wore PJs. It is truly a memory making experience. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. I wanted to offer some insider info that's not on the website. Try to arrive 30-45min early. That will give you plenty of time to park and leisurely walk calmly into the station, get your tickets, take photos by the tree, etc. We got there an hour early and added pre window shopping in gift store, eating and bathroom breaks. You can park in an adjacent parking lot, jot down your license plate # and pay at kiosk or via a mobile app. I think it was 12-15$ for 4 hours. Definitely wear PJs, nice photo opp in the waiting area before the train ride. The area for check-in is clearly marked. You can leave your family in the staging area while someone goes to get the tickets. Catch a meal before you go, the only food they have is a Subway or a hotdog type stand (we did it, not so good) at the station. Or bring your own food or snacks. The seats seemed strange on the website and not knowing what I was doing, I ended up booking wacky tickets. There are two seats on one side of the train and two seats on the other side, so a family of four should book across the aisle from each other. Luckily our car was empty, so we were able to move into better positions. I enjoyed the daytime ride and with young kids, I liked it better. I don't think that a day or night time event makes a difference. It's a great show anytime of day. Lastly, there's a gift shop. I looked at all the stuff, they had some cool things. There was one thing that I bought for all the kids that turned out being way cooler than I realized. It was a frame, that can hold a photo or in our case, the golden ticket and the souvenir silver bell. For15$ it's a good value and will remind us of a magical day. It's a great event as a one time experience or a yearly tradition...... "Cause that's the way things happen on the Polar Express"
