I tried LongHorn for the 2nd time after about 6-7 years. (It's not close to where I live). I have…read moreto order my steaks well done now and to my surprise, it was still very juicy. The Mac n Cheese was creamy and the loaded mash was really good. The amount of soup you get for the price is amazing. However, I don't recall any lobster in there. I did eat it all though. The service was good. Nothing super amazing but the staff was friendly. The floors were a bit greasy but I appreciate that it's not a carpeted restaurant.

1 STAR EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE…read more My sister drove 30 minutes from New Orleans to Slidell because we wanted to enjoy a pleasant meal at a restaurant we have visited before and normally enjoy. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different, and the service we received was unacceptable. We were a party of two adults and my 1-year-old son. We were seated and placed our order approximately 15 minutes after being seated. We ordered an appetizer and our entrees, and we were already very familiar with the menu, so there was no confusion about what we wanted. We then waited 40 MINUTES for our food while watching couples who arrived well after us get seated, eat, and LEAVE before we even received our food. At that point, we asked to speak with a manager because we wanted to understand what was going on. The manager was pleasant and assured us our food would be out within about 3 minutes. We waited another 10 minutes just to receive our APPETIZER. We were then informed by the supervisor that our food tickets had not even been placed until approximately 15 minutes before we called for a manager. So essentially, we had been sitting there waiting while our order wasn't even properly submitted. That is completely unacceptable. Once our food finally arrived, my meal was missing two items, which meant I had to wait even longer while everyone else was eating. And unfortunately, the experience got even worse when it was time to leave. My sister gave our check and her card to our waitress, Laela S., and politely asked her to cash us out quickly because we still had a 30-minute drive back to New Orleans, and my sister had to work. Instead of simply handling the request professionally, Laela responded with a snarky attitude and asked my sister if she wanted to go cash out at the bar herself. After everything we had already experienced, that response was completely unnecessary and disrespectful. Then, when Laela returned to the table, she TOSSED my sister's card back to her. Yes TOSSED IT. There is absolutely no excuse for throwing or tossing a customer's belongings back at them. I don't care how frustrated an employee may be; customers should still be treated with basic respect and professionalism. We came here expecting a nice meal and a pleasant experience. Instead, we dealt with an unnecessarily long wait, an order that apparently wasn't entered in a timely manner, missing food items, sarcastic comments, and ultimately disrespectful behavior from our server. Laela S.'s behavior was the biggest issue for me. Mistakes happen. Kitchens get busy. Food can take longer than expected. We understand that. What is NOT acceptable is treating customers with an attitude and then tossing their card back at them as if they did something wrong. Management was pleasant when we finally asked for assistance, but the fact that we had to ask for a manager in the first place because nobody communicated with us about the delay is a problem. We drove 30 minutes from New Orleans to Slidell specifically to enjoy ourselves, and unfortunately, the experience was so unpleasant that it completely ruined the visit. If you're looking for a pleasant dining experience, I honestly wouldn't count on getting one here based on our experience. I sincerely hope management addresses this because customers should never be made to feel disrespected simply for expecting reasonable service and common courtesy. 1 star, and that's being generous.
